Designed for smaller spaces with great features

This is a smaller French door fridge made to fit a smaller space. The sales guy said it’s the only one made in this size with full features. It’s counter depth and just less than 60”tall at the back. It’s the only small French door frig that is water and ice through the door. It’s really nice and fit the bill size wise. It’s quiet and well designed inside and outside. It holds temp well in the frig and freezer. It’s pricy but it fits the bill.

Good Refrigerator for Small Spaces

The refrigerator is perfect if you have a small kitchen and you can’t fit a big refrigerator and/or you live in a one/two person household. I really like the look of the refrigerator and it cleans easily. The inside is nice, but space is somewhat limited. We had to remove a shelf to fit a taller bottle and pitcher. If you freeze a lot of meat, space could be an issue. Overall, I like the refrigerator and I’m glad we bought it because it fits our needs.

So well figured out as a fit-in-an-odd-space design. Smaller in cubic feet than my last fridge, but it is laid out bigger. So glad there are still quality refrigerators made for this odd space. Hope they keep this size going so I don't have to do major kitchen reconstruction to fit the larger styles.

This was the only fridge that could fit into the small space in our new home. Yes, it is smaller, but it is beautiful and the inside is so organized. This is a perfect size for a couple or with small children. If you cook a lot and have a larger family, it may not work. If you eat out a lot and don’t cook much, it’s perfect.

I am very happy with our purchase. If you have a big family this isn't probably for you. Having a home built in the 80's we needed one that fit our space without doing any demolition and this was exactly what we needed for our needs. We did have a larger fridge but kept downsizing. With the larger refrigerators you lose track of what you put in there. The crispers keep vegetables crisp longer and I love the drawer under the crisper. We had a side by side but I am loving this one!!! We have just enough room. However, we do have an additional fridge and freezer in our garage just in case we need to stock up on something. But I'm please so far . We also went back to basics instead of getting the bells and whistles, I mean how often do you really use that stuff?

Good refrigerator for small space

Looks very nice. Says it’s finger print resistant, but does not seem to be. Hard to get used to the much smaller freezer space, but don’t think it’s really smaller, just have to organize correctly. The doors swing open if you don’t actually push them closed. Not a problem except when it’s next to a wall the doors swing open into. The refrigerator seems to leak some water onto the top of freezer door that creates an ice spot. The shelving inside refrigerator does not give a tall enough space for a gallon of milk, took a shelf out. It makes some weird noises that can be loud but not too bad. Still trying to figure out best configuration, but think overall it is a good buy.

I really like this fridge Has plenty of room for groceries for 2 I read reviews that the freezer was small But I wasn’t worried because I have a freezer in the basement But I still have more than enough room in the freezer in the fridge I looked for french door fridges for my smaller space that go with my whirlpool appliances But I didn’t like the similar whirlpool model that fit in my space The quality of the inside of the GE model seems much better and matches well enough I would have liked to get this at a better price The larger model was quite a bit less expensive I found the better fridges in this style and size aren’t as competitive so tend to be more expensive That is the reason I gave 4 stars for value I recommend this fridge

It's been 23 years since I have bought a new fridge. The one I replaced was also a GE. I love my new fridge. But I only gave it 4 stars. Because it is quite noisy. It rattles when running. My old fridge was so quiet all the way up until it died at 23 years old. Not this one. I have moved everything inside several times looking for anything rattling. And I have scoot it around in its space. I am getting used to it. But I would rather it where a lot quieter. One other thing to mention. We ordered this fridge mid-July 2022. And it finally arrived late October. The stove and dishwasher arrived in under 2 weeks.

...that carried this style refrigerator in the size I needed. And I really wanted a french-door fridge. I replaced a 20 year old side by side. I have had this refrigerator for a little over a month (on backorder since January 2022!). It is very "cute" even if its not the color I originally wanted. I am a very practical person, I prefer functionality over aesthetics, but It looks very good in my newly remodeled kitchen. It's small (even smaller than the side by side I replaced), but the kids have moved out of the house so it works. Because it IS small, this model doesn't get all the bells and whistles of the larger refrigerators, but that's OK. I only had one requirement besides having french doors...I needed an external ice & water dispenser. This has it, however, you have to switch between water & ice. I'm finding it hard to transition from my old fridge in which there was a dispenser for each. You do have to ensure the cup is very close to the opening for the ice, or ice will shoot outside the cup. I do like that it will not make more ice if the container is full. The lights in both the fridge & freezer are LED bright. The light will shut off if you leave the door open too long! This fridge makes a lot of noises, and they are louder than I am used to. I expect to hear the compressor make noise from time to time, I just didn't expect it to be so jarring when it does. I can hear the water/ice filling from my living room, which is probably 20 feet and half a wall away. Definitely can hear the ice drop. There is also a clicking noise (or something dropping) after dispensing the ice. The doors are hard to close, so I am actually grateful for the door alarm. I have to actually push the door all the way to close (I think there is something like a vaccuum seal to the french doors?), where as on my old fridge, we just swung the door, and it closed. Just another thing I have to get used to. Overall it is a nice refrigerator, so far. My items are cold and/or frozen how they are supposed to be. There is plenty storage on the doors as well. The freezer is small, which suits me fine, but if my household size increases, I may need to think about getting a separate freezer.

Love this GE Refrigerator for my husband and I. It's perfect size for what we need. The only "little" problem we have is the construction of the freezer top and bottom baskets. They are quirky when we open the freezer and the top and bottom baskets stick together and are wobbly. The store checked it out and said it was the way it was constructed. We'll adjust to it eventually. Thank you for a great product.

It’s a great fridge for its size - be aware this is a counter depth fridge and will be “smaller” than what you are used to. The only thing is that it is noisy. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner but on low mode. Just ignore it. The whole idea is that it works well.

Good fridge with minor issues

Fridge works well. A little noisy for the first week or so. We downsized so it’s taken a while to adjust. The filter holder takes up too much space in a valuable section of the fridge. The only real complaint is that the labels on the water ice dispenser are black against a very dark background making them very hard if not impossible to read.

Time will tell

Our first GE appliance, time will tell how well it performs and holds up. We had a Samsung 4dr French with icemaker for about 8 years. It was a nightmare as the icemaker froze up many times even after being replaced under warranty 3 times! Then Samsung couldn't find anyone to work on it and offered 1/3 of the price to buy it back! No deal! We put up with defrosting it with a hair dryer it for several years then finally threw in the towel when the fan tower in the back of the fridge started to freeze up too. After a week the only thing we don't like about this GE fridge is the water and ice dispenser panel labels on the front of fridge are not readable unless you bend down to eye level to be able read them.

We love our new refrigerator. We installed it ourselves and had no issues. It looks great with the other GE appliances we purchased, has adjustable shelves, and seems to fit everything nicely. My favorite part is the water and ice dispenser in the door. I wish the freezer drawer opened a bit farther, but the space is nice and it's not a big issue. It is not smudge resistant so that is something to consider if you have small children but the sturdy handles prevent us from touching the stainless too often.

I own a townhouse with a very small kitchen, and the cabinet opening for the refrigerator is quite small. I wanted a counter-depth French door refrigerator that had both an ice and water dispenser in the door that would fit in the space I had without having to renovate. As far as I can tell, this is the only unit that met every one of those requirements. There are plenty of similar units, but they all have the ice maker in the freezer drawer with no dispenser. This unit is attractive, functional and quiet. The interior is obviously small, but it’s laid out efficiently to maximize use of the limited space. The crispers work very well, and the bottom refrigerator drawer is perfect for canned or bottled drinks. The ice maker design in particular is good. It can’t store a ton of ice, but it generally makes plenty for my partner and I. More importantly, I’ve had this unit for two years now and the ice make hasn’t missed a beat. My previous Samsung needed its ice maker defrosted at least once a month from the day it was new. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have backlighting for the front control panel.

Counter depth for smaller kitchens

We have a small, narrow kitchen, so this GE counter-depth refrigerator was a way to get a full sized fridge in a smaller space. The upper French doors means no bending to see what is on the bottom shelves, like our old refrigerator. The unit is clean and quiet. The ice and water on the door is a real convenience. Since this is a counter-depth refrigerator we did give up some space but that just forces us to keep the inside less cluttered. We would buy this refrigerator again.

Finding a high quality counter depth refrigerator that also fit into a 33" horizontal space was a challenge! But this "Energy Star" GE fridge was the perfect fit. It has plenty of advanced features and the upper compartment is quite spacious. I could have used a little more space in the freezer, but given my space limitations on the outside, I am more than satisfied. It is virtually silent except when ice is being replenished with a barely audible unobtrusive hum.

Strong, Well Designed Counter Depth Fridge!

Solid French Door Counter Depth refrigerator with ample cubic footage in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments and practical shelf layout including the shelf layout within the doors. Easy to balance/stabilize on floors. Doors have a very positive seal as compared to our former Samsung French Door refrigerator. Compressor also cycles more efficiently than the Samsung compressor which toward the end of its' short 8 year life would not keep pace with changing ambient air (room) temperatures, which would cause it to cycle more frequently for short runs which no doubt shortened the life of this compressor, notwithstanding the fact that we always kept the condenser coils very clean which usually improves the life expectancy of a compressor. However, the air outlet like brands across the market with perhaps the exception of Subzero (which of course comes with a much higher price tag and exhausts all air to the outside like those found designed for commercial refrigerators), air is exhausted to the inside, however the air outlet is located at an adequate elevation in the rear of the refrigerator making it very visible and easy to avoid in terms of accidentally blocking it.

For the most part the refrigerator is ok. The vegetable drawer is too small...I cannot get a stalk of celery to fit even going crosswise and I buy a lot of fresh produce. The other drawer that is the full width of the refrigerator requires opening both doors so that is not an energy saver in my opinion. I don't like to keep milk in the doors, so that required moving a self up to make a self tall enough which left a skinny shelf. Water and ice in the door is great.

I downsized from a huge refrigerator because I am the only one left in my home. I love the fact that it doesn’t stick out in the room (counter depth). Although it takes some adjusting to, I can easily see and reach everything. The top of the fridge does not allow the small upper cupboards to open completely but that isn’t a big deal for what I store up there. It does not have an egg tray so I salvaged the one from my old fridge as I prefer not storing eggs in their carton. There is much less door storage but that turned out to be ok too.

How can I reset fridge temp?

So far so good since it was just installed today. However, in removing a sticker on control panel I accidentally increased temperature setting for fridge and now can't lower it! So temp now will read 44°F, instead of factory setting.

The refrigerator/freezer is as advertised. Well packaged for a damage free shipment. So much blue tape. Works well and is very quite. It seems that more of the freezer space could be made available for food storage. The icemaker is pretty noisy too.

Small, looks nice

Small but works for just the 2 of us. Love the external water/ice- that's the main reason I bought it (havent gotten ice yet, though). Fits good in our small space, looks nice. Definitely shows fingerprints but they come off easily. Delivery/install was a MESS (im in MI) but it got figured out. Hoping no problems arise with the machine!

This stainless steel refrigerator is beautifully designed and allows you to see where everything is stored once you open the refrigerator door. The water and ice features in the door are so convenient to fill water bottles and large tumblers. We loved this GE refrigerator so much in our primary home, we decided to purchased a second one for another property. This refrigerator has beauty and functionality!

The refrigerator is nice. The one thing I have a problem with is the scratches aove the handles on the doors. We were told it was because they had to put the handles on. To me this seems like a flaw in the design. For the money we paid there should not be scratches.

Only 33" counter depth, bottom freezer, I found with water and ice in door. Hard to read lables on dispensor. Crushed ice goes everywhere but in glass when used. Needs a ice shoot. Hums a bit loud when running. Still much better than the side by side we had for ability to use and see what is in the fridge and freezer. Nice looking. Stainless steel.

The ice ain’t so nice.

The only issue we have is the door ice dispenser. If we use anything other than a glass, ice ends up all over the floor. Every. Single. Time. Water bottles, coffee containers, etc. get about half the amount of ice that comes out. The floor gets the rest. You can’t just open the door and reach in and get ice either. It’s a process to get to the ice, involving opening a small compartment and pulling the ice bucket out completely. Other than the ice issues, we love the refrigerator and all the ways you can change the shelving and drawers to fit what you need. The freezer works phenomenally.

I have only had this refrigerator for about two weeks, but the way it is set up is really handy. The ice maker in the door is a great idea. I had a French door before, and almost the entire upper shelf was taken up by the ice maker. This one runs a lot more than our old one, but I have heard that it is because of the constant defrost. Overall it seems to be a great refrigerator.

I’ve had this fridge for three days now. I’ll attempt another review in the future. The fridge made all the clicking, whirling and whooshing sounds as stated in the owners manual. After the first 24 hours of operation, all those sounds have subsided as the fridge “stabilized”. I have a two person household and the fridge is the perfect size. I did my research and read of the customer reviews so I was not surprised to know that the water filter replacement is a bit pricy and should be replaced twice a year.

The look and design are aesthetically pleasing. We chose the stainless and it matches nicely with our GE Double Oven Range and Microwave. The ice maker is quite and runs efficiently. When both doors are open it is spacious and has ample room for a multitude of items. The drawers are well positioned and have good depth. The refrigerator looks good but more importantly it is very quite. Looking forward to years of continuous service.

First time purchasing a refrigerator with ice and water on the door. cubed ice is excellent, crushed not so much, not completely crushed and it scatters everywhere, mostly winds up on the floor or in the freezer. the french doors don't have a stopping devise to allow them to only open at a 45 degree angle and they swing open and bang into the counter or other appliances. now I have a scratch on my new door :(

It is only 18 cubic feet but makes good use of the space with door bins and adjustable shelves. It is louder than our 26 yr old one we replaced with this one but it’s not too bad.

Overall the refrigerator is comparable to others in its price range. The split shelf is poorly made and doesn’t really line up to create a totally flat shelf. Ice maker is extremely loud when filling. It does fit in our small space and has an attractive look. Interior space is small and the shelves are not adjustable. Freezer has ample space and works well. It would be better if the interior was made with more quality in mind, but in these times it’s what is available at this price point. GE is the only company that makes a 33” counter depth refrigerator so we are happy there was a product that fits in our space, with decent functionality. I would recommend this product if you need the fit. You can make it work, but if you’re a family, we are only two adults, you would need a bigger unit.

There are a lot of features about this fridge and a few needing tmrovement. Likes are no fingerprints finish, quiet operation, and quick ice making. Dislikes are cheap drawers and shelves, arrangement of door bins, and most importantly the limited space Inside the fridge & freezer compared to the 28" depth of fridge; reduction of guts need to happen. Prior fridge same dimensios had 24 cuft vs 17.8 now.

Great refrigerator except for 2 problems with it. The handle on the freezer door falls off frequently and I hate that the ice maker doesn't produce more ice. We are a family of 4 and it can't keep up with us. Always have to purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer to meet out needs.

We have had the refrigerator for about 6 months and so far we like it. The freezer is not very large so we ended up getting a stand alone freezer. The refrigerator space is good. Hard to find space for large containers like gallon milk jugs or large juice bottles. But given we have a small kitchen - this refrigerator fit well and works well.

This replaced my 33 yr old side-by-side. Same footprint but 4 cu ft smaller. I’m hoping that means it’s better insulated and more energy efficient. Love the bright light and easy access to all of the shelves. Also like the adjustable half-shelf for tall bottles.

Drawers are small and therefore hold less than we were used to, (Can't get a stalk of celery in the vegetable drawer!) It was noisy at first but seems to have settled in and runs less.

Light on fridge very tough to read

I like my new fridge, but the light that shows whether water, what type of ice is chosen, etc, doesn't have the back light illuminate the word "Water or Ice". I am fairly tall and I have to been down to get even with that panel and thise words to know what I'm choosing. I have gotten used to it for the most part, but it's my guests that I'm more worried about as I shouldn't have to explain, "Yes, it doesn't light up. Bend down to get even with that panel and you'll see what is what." Still a good fridge, but I've only had it for a half a month, so hopeful everything stays working Thanks, Kirk H

I love the look and size, it fits perfect in the space designated for the refrigerator. It seems as though there is something wrong with the panel, I am not able to change the temperature for the refrigerator. When I tap the button it goes to turbo cool. I've looked up everything I can find on it and I have hit the button three times to turn it off and on but it never goes to the refrigerator temperature settings. The freezer side works perfectly.. I hope its a user error, your manual isn't very clear.

The crushed ice feature works well, and there is so much more room than we had in our old side by side...just hooked up the water, plugged it in and it works like it should. Overall it’s satisfactory. The temperature is great! I’ve/water dispenser is nice, but as many others noted, in low light the print on the door is very difficult to read. Can’t believe there’s no drip tray under the dispenser. Engineers and designers should go back to the drawing board to make the freezer and the door compartments more reasonably sized. Drawers/shelves are nice and sturdy. We are fortunate that the one we have is quiet. Freezer capacity is unbelievably small! As many others have stated, tall bottles are a challenge. The TINY little storage compartments on the ice/water dispenser side of the door are a joke! Don’t bother.

There is room for at least another inch, which would make it far more useful. The freezer part is fine but overall I wish it had some separation features so you don’t constantly lose things.

Solid Unit, Issues w/ Water Dispenser and Display

Refrigerator and freezer work as well as expected. Left fridge door made a terrible screeching noise when opened by itself (with the right door closed) for the first several weeks, then stopped doing that. When the unit is running, it's a little louder than others that I've had, even the older, lower-end one that it replaced. My biggest issues are with the water dispenser and display panel; the panel is impossible to read when standing upright and looking down at it normally. This makes it difficult to switch between water and ice without bending over and squinting to look at the wording, which is gray on a gray background. I have gotten somewhat used to the locations to press without seeing the wording, although sometimes I still miss. It's a bigger issue for guests that come to my house and try to use it for the first time. Also, the water dispenser tube sticks way down, which is somewhat unsightly, and it tends to drip (not much, usually just one drop) after dispensing and moving the cup away from it, which just causes me to have to clean the tray more frequently than previous models I have owned. One other thing that factors into my review - this is nobody's fault, but I happened to move to an older house, and was limited on the size (width and depth) of a refrigerator, and I felt like this was awfully expensive for what it is, but I didn't have many other options.

Good cooling and size - too noisy though

Refrigerator was professionally installed. Was making noise (like the compressor and fan clicking noise) from day one. Read up on the issue and I leveled using a spirit level front leveling feet. Noise reduced significantly, but still bothersome. Put in a service call for GE Tech, took a week or so to get an appointment. The GE Tech came in and leveled some more to make the noise minimal. He adjusted by ear rather than spirit level making it reasonable quiet. Then a few days later when opening the door, the Fridge settles as if the leveling feet gave way and the loud noise was back. Wedged it some how to make the noise bearable put in a second call for the GE Tech. Waiting to see what happens with the noise. As an Engineer myself, it seems like GE designed this refrigerator with a weak base frame (too flimsy), which twists easily causing moving parts (compressor and fan etc) to get misaligned. The front leveling feet are under sized and too flimsy. I would've given it more starts for interior, overall functionality and cooling. But, never expected this kind of issue with an GE Refrigerator, which in my experience have been work horses!

The filter ice and water nice and cold and taste fresh The fridge does make a loud strange buzzing sound At first I thought was the glass item I placed in the shelf door so I relocate them but sound is still there. The bottom freezer cannot load items over the top shelf I learned the hard way. That obstructs the fan in freezer which then causes lots of freezer frost. So overall I rate a three for those two issues.

measure carefully before you buy

Having a placement problem we found that a Counter-Depth Refrigerator was our best option. Being 6" smaller from front to back in the show room does not compare to having it in your home. Do not recommend the product for that reason alone unless you are single and live in an apartment/ Unable to read the menu on the front of the French door water dispenser. The lighting and ice cube maker are excellent. Need to watch air vent flow do not cover or block.

I bought this style because I liked it with my last frdge. Since I had to get a.s.p. since my other one died. I didn't have a lot to choose from,t here were only 2 in town that I ccould get right away. I did know when I purchased it that it wasn't as deep or tall as I would have liked, I couldn't way so I had to get something. I feel like I can hardly fit anything much in it. I do love the storage in the doors, there is more of that than my old fridge. The water and ice dispencer takes way to long!!! I usually just fill the ice from the sink, the ice bin is also very small!!!

Worst fridge I ever had!

I've had one for 2 years and it's been kind of a nightmare. The fridge I ordered that was bigger and half the price wouldn't fit on my porch so I settled for this one. Big mistake!!! The space is minimal and I have a family of four. My biggest issue is space and the digital settings screen malfunctioned after about a year of use it just randomly changes settings sometimes and dings. It also wont let me get whole ice only crushed. I don't recommend this fridge unless you are a single person and even then the technical difficulties are something I've never dealt with. I had an LG fridge before this with an ice maker and was much deeper so it helped and nothing ever went out on it and the worse part they charged double for this one...

Avoid this lemon

We paid a lot extra to get a counter depth refrigerator. We have it in a condo we occasionally use. Recently we went there and it was hot and the food had spoiled. We unplugged it, cleaned it out and plugged it back in. It seemed to work, but died again a month later. We called for a service person to see it, and stated the compressor was dead. We have owned it for 2 years, so it is not covered by the warranty.

Cheap and poor quality. Ice capacity very small and recharge very slow. The one that was delivered about a week ago hade dent in 2 doors and shelves were slanted toward the middle and could not be fixed to be square with the other shelf to the right or left. Solution eventually led to a complete new refrigerator after time was spent trying to fix all the problems.

Worst Refrigerator ever!!!

Worst ever! Ruining our life! Freezer temp runs -7 to -16, even though we have it set at the max of 6. Ice cream so hard it can't be scooped. Makes a loud 59 db noise at a horrible pitch of B flat that is deafening. Then adds another vibration noise from the ice maker. It is making us insane. Waiting on a service call, but we don't have high hopes. This is a nightmare! On the plus side, the fingerprint resistant coating is great: should look good when I shoot a hole in the front of it.

Big change from previous model

Product is not square. Shelves are slanted and also not butting up to each other squarely. Product was delivered with dent on right door and installer took picture and note on delivery ticket. No butter storage shelf on door like one in showroom.

Small inside!

We were so concerned about refrigerators height and width, did not think about depth. This refrigerator is small inside! Barely fits anything. Ice maker takes up a lot of space inside. Cannot even fit a pizza box. Paid a lot of moneh and we are not happy.

The refrigerator is nothing that I expected. The drawers in the freezer compartment and in the refrigerator are flimsy. The water and ice splash into the floor. The refrigerator doors do not close easily. I am very disappointed in the quality of the product. I had a LG in the past but wanted a USA product this time.

I am so disappointed in this refrigerator. It seems to be extremely cheaply made with all its noisy features and sounds like it is already having a compressor issue after a month. The interior drawers and shelves are made from cheap low grade plastic they should be a child’s toy. This will likely end up on the curb with free sign.

Horrible

Had to get a counter depth to fit in my space. It sure doesn’t hold very much. I am a single person and cannot imagine a family being able to use this. Not only does it not hold a lot, the buttons on front are impossible to read. I have memorized where water and cubed ice is located since I can’t read it. Also, the ice maker is garbage. I have only had this fridge for a few months and it is torture to try to get a glass of ice. I usually give up and drink my water with just a couple ice cubes. No I would not recommend this fridge. Wish I had never purchased it.

This particular unit is giving us too many issues, for example 3 of this unit with less than a year the compressor has been damaged and replaced 2 times and after running out of the warranty again the compressor had damaged again, frozen issues inside regularly, this product has been a nightmare for our property soo far

Not happy with the refrigerator at all. It is extremely noisy, just running , the ice maker is even worse . The water dispenser water is not cold , the ice maker is very slow and it only makes 7 cubes at a time. Freezer is ridiculously small and when you pull the handle to open the entire unit wobbles back and forth. The product sheet is incorrect on stated dimensions. I had to have a cabinet cut off to allow for the electronics on the top of the refrigerator behind the door hinges. I wish I could return! Do not buy!

I cannot help to say this refrigerator was designed by a bachelor that has no interest in cooking or storing food! One must be a single person using the smallest containers to be able to fit anything in this product. The appliance store felt this was the best customer service Company to be able to service this product. The side shelves are much to narrow and hard to fit any condiments on the shelf. Freezer bins are so misshapen cannot fit a weeks worth of product in them. very misleading looking at the store.

Look elsewhere

Purchased this fridge in October 2019. Luckily we bought the extended warranty. We've had repair people out 3 times in the past 4 years. This last time we are waiting on repair since the compressor is no longer working. Luckily we have a garage fridge that is super old and functional. This fridge is pretty but she's small. It's like playing tetris every time you grocery shop. The shelves and bins are cheaply made. We have cracks all over. The water dispenser drips. The freezer fits barely anything and is a pain to organize. Save your money and buy any other brand.

Disappointed with the size and control panel

I wanted to buy GE because of the good reviews about the brand. The refrigerator I purchased ended up being considerably smaller than my previous appliance in the exact same space. I’m truly disappointed. I also encountered a problem with the control panel located above the ice maker, it beeps randomly and will not stop (regardless of temperature settings) until I unplug it. If my kitchen space allowed for a larger refrigerator I would return this one for a different GE model.

Very unhappy. This fridge is SO loud. Perhaps it is because the ice machine is in the door but the sound this fridge makes can be heard from about 800 ft away in my house. It is the loudest appliance I have ever had and makes kitchen conversations and listening to music while doing the dishes unenjoyable.

Too many issues.

The fridge feels like a lot less storage space despite being dimensionally bigger than my former fridge. It started out making a loud, rumbling sound from day one. I finally got it repaired after 2 months of back and forth. They also replaced the freezer fan which was under recall. Now my ice maker stopped working two days later. Not happy.

Noisy Refrigerator

Does not fit enough food

It’s tiny inside. The look takes up so much room there is barely enough space for the food. The ice maker is way too small and takes hours. We had to get it because we had a space issue but I don’t recommend it.

Never will I buy again! Compressor quit in less then a year. Refrigerator is less then a year old. Will replace compressor but the smell will last forever. Tried everything to get rid of the smell, but no luck. Was hoping they would replace it. Just kept telling even though they would repair had no policy to replace because of smell. Clearly I wouldn't have the smell if not for their faulty part. So disappointed in this company. Never again

This thing is a piece of junk! The fridge I had prior was likely 30 years old and worked perfectly. This fridge was leaking water in the first 3 months. The repair guy told me I didn’t have the right kind of food in my freezer to keep it cold enough! He then decided that maybe it need a new part in the water dispenser… but now 1 month after the 1 year warranty it is leaking again.. I will never buy another GE.

NOT GOOD!!!

This refrigerator was delivered with a non-functioning water system and ice maker. The store is unable to find the part they believe is needed and can not give us an estimate of when it will be fixed. It has been over two weeks now and we still have no ice or water. They seem to be in no hurry and have not been good about communicating the status. Additionally, this is the noisiest refrigerator I have ever owned. It does cool well. At this point, that is the only good thing I can say about this refrigerator.

Bad Quality

We bought this fridge in Oct of 2019. We loved the color of this fridge which was one of the main factors behind why we purchased it. However, in summer of 2020 the fridge randomly started beeping at strange intervals and eventually would not stop beeping at all. We had to call a repair person out to look at it and they found out the entire control panel had gone bad and were forced to replace it. Thankfully this was under warranty. Fast forward to today and it is starting to do the same thing. I suspect within the next few days it’s going to start beeping without stopping. Again. This time when we have to replace the entire control panel it will no longer be under warranty. Great fridge if you only need something temporary - not long term investment.

Am very disappointed with my GE refrigerator. I had it for only 2 months when I noticed moisture and ice in the refrigerator. Repair tech found a closed system leak, failure of freezer door to close securely, and fan which runs continuously without stopping. Am currently trying to negotiate. Looks dismal.

GE really ?

Purchased this refrigerator for a basement apartment and didn’t use it until after the warranty was up. Less than 6 months of using it, the defrost cycle for the freezer stopped working. The main control board was the issue. Apparently GE already has an updated main board. Obviously they know it’s an issue. Also had issues with a GE microwave purchased at the same time. Again wasn’t used until after the warranty. When used for more than 3 minutes the overload protector shut it down. Happened approximately 6 times. Now it doesn’t heat up anything. In the garbage it goes. So extremely disappointed in this company. I will never purchase anything from this company again. Goodbye GE !!

Not good for the money

My Fridge is three years old and already breaking down. The freezer and Fridge is not getting cold. The repair part is three times the cost of my old fridge repair part. The same part different Fridge maker. Also the ice cubes don't make enough no sense in having one on this fridge. But, that is my opinion.

Not Pleased with this Purchase

I am extraordinarily dissatisfied with my most recent GE Appliance purchase. This refrigerator is not up to par with previous purchases. This is the noisiest refrigerator I have ever owned and being that the kitchen is 15' from my bedroom, it actually impacts my sleeping. The left door is difficult to close and will remain ajar unless you use extra effort. is used. The spacing is awkward and ineffectual. I am grateful I have a second refrigerator to store my weekly groceries. Not a good design or I just purchased a lemon.
