Amana is a great brand. Had for many years.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

It’s nice and quiet. The only thing is the freezer should have a full size shelf not a half shelf. I know it’s probably for an icemaker shelf. I would’ve preferred a full Shelf option. Needs a light in the freezer model. I would’ve preferred glass Shelves instead of wired. shelvesshelves, and a full-size shelf for the freezer

Nice refrigerator

We bought this refrigerator after our previous back up refrigerator quit cooling. So far it is working well. Just hope it lasts 24 years like our last one did.

Does the job

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Very nice looking refrigerator, but did not like shelf in freezer or refrigerator. Only a half shelf in freezer. Shelves in refrigerator does not have enough wiring to support a small glass. The glass could tip over. Luckily my old refrigerator shelves fit. Tried to include pictures, but did not work.

We in Jemez Springs NM like our new Amana Frig !

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought our new Amana frig a month or so ago. Since then it has been working well. The only thing we wish it had is a 2nd shelf in the freezer. Our hope is that it will continue working as well as it is now, and 20 years would be wonderful. Keep it going, Amana !!

Perfect size

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Debated on what size I needed for weeks. So very happy with the 30 inch stainless steel I picked! I downsized after selling my 5 BR house and becoming a widow. The price was excellent , and the inside is so roomy. The adjustable shelves just right. Plenty of freezer room. I would not change my choice. My choice was just the right fit.

We purchased ours about a month or so ago. This is the perfect size for us, large open freezer, and spacious refrigerator space. Very happy with this new refrigerator!!!

I brought my 30 inch Amana for my new Apartment. I am so pleased, it’s just he right size. Every time I shop and add new groceries. The fit is exactly right. I couldn’t be more pleased with it for my Needs. The stainless steel is so easy to keep clean. A little vinegar water and it sparkles. Wouldn’t trade it for another. Thanks Amana

Compact Yet Spacious

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This is a really nice unit, from the exterior it looks small, yet that is deceiving! Very spacious and well-laid out interior. I especially like the in door storage that can hold 2-liter bottles.

Great basic refrigerator!

We have had our new Amana refrigerator for about a month. We are very happy with it, the only thing I wish it has is a smaller drawer on a higher shelf.

Needs design improvements

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We want solid glass shelves. The wires on the rack shelves are too far apart. Small bottles fall over so we had to buy containers with low sides to put condiments in. Also the older one had a freezer shelf that went all the way across, so we now have a big area with stuff stacked one on another so we don't really know what's in the freezer without digging for it.

Good Price and Needs Met

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Our previous Amana refrigerator lasted over 25 years with few issues. Our new Amana refrigerator fits our needs quite well. We like the arrangement of the various compartments and were surprised that we like the freezer section on top more than our below freezer section previously. Plenty of space! Two issues we have with the new fridge: 1) it is quite noisy when running; 2) we had glass shelves before which worked better for us, we find more things spill with the wire shelves. Overall, happy with the new fridge and thought the price was very reasonable.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Good frig. No complaints about operation. But the exterior is horrible. No way to open or close without leaving fingerprints, and smears. It’s even more difficult to clean them off. Should not be made out of this stainless steel look alike.msaul

Very Nice Buy with some unexpected features!

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I love it's design however the noise it makes can be annoying, it literally whales out a tone much like a whisle at high pitch i did ask the deliver person if he did level it before he left he said he did so I cannot undersand why it would make such a sound. It is not constant but only on the occassion that a fan perhaps is running or something is operating as it has a normal humming sound which is not unpleasant, but then suddenly a tone like a low ringing sound arrives. Other than that...well it's a great machine and because it's got such great features i can live with it's occational ringing.

Exactly the Refrigerator I wanted for the garage

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I have had an AMANA refrigerator that was originally our main kitchen fridge since 1985 and due to remodels and color scheme changes it moved to the garage and kept on working! The only reason I replaced it was because it was too big (27 cu. ft.) and was no longer energy efficient compared to the new ones. I am hoping that this new AMANA will provide the same service as the old one.

We've had that product for just under 6 months and absolutely love it so far. It's on the smaller side, but fits perfectly, with room, in our single wide. The stainless steel is wonderful. AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Me and my husband bought this fridge for our first house. We were on a tight budget and this fridge fit. Got it home and I love the look. I really love the indentations for handles instead of having a handle that can be bumped and slamming into things. To really cool it down we put it on the coldest setting and it lives up to it. It’s quiet and has nice freezer and refrigerator room. Overall I’m happy with my purchase

Not as good as old Amana, but gets cold and works

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this a couple months ago because the compressor on my 20 year old Amana fridge went out. My old Amana fridge was the PERFECT fridge. This fridge is alright I guess. It looks VERY nice. The stainless steel finish is great looking and the Amana logo is perfect. It keeps food cold. The price was decent. However, the design is not the best. My old Amana fridge had a space between the floor and the bottom of the door, which was nice for foot clearance when opening the door. The door storage layout on the older Amana fridge was 10 times more desirable. I'm not sure why they would have changed it, even slightly. It was perfect before. The butter tray ridge is far too shallow. My insulin pens alway fall out if im not careful. They never really fell out of the other Amana fridge, though I'm sure your butter will stay in there just fine. Lastly, I'm not sure why or how the temperature regulation system made it through an entire engineering department and onto the showroom floor. Whoever thought it up had to have been higher than bat hole hanging from a giraffe's chin. My original Amana fridge had numbered settings for both freezer and refrigerator, like a normal fridge does. Like you'd expect from any appliance company. After a couple days I kind of figured out how to work the goofy settings, but it is not obvious by any means. JFC. Pretty cool fridge I guess, 8.1/10 Please just bring back your fridge design from around 2 decades ago would be my preference. Way better

I have a really small "hole" in my kitchen for the refrigerator and this fits well and gives me much more space than my old refrigerator. It seems to be deeper. AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I’ve had this refrigerator for a few weeks, now, and it’s amazing. There’s soooooo much space on the inside! I only gave it 4 stars because of two reasons: 1. There’s no full shelf in the freezer and finding one, to purchase, has been extremely difficult. 2. The freezer works great and freezes everything, but my ice cream is still soft. This is with the freezer turned all the way up. All in all, it’s a great refrigerator!

After purchasing this lovely white refrigerator, I realized how fortunate I was to have chose the Amana brand. It is sleek, yet totally functional and I am thrilled that it fits perfectly in my galley kitchen. I have told family and friends how impressed I am with this refrigerator. Best purchase I made in 2022!!!

Top-Freezer Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I purchased this product April of 2022, I love the stainless steel look, freezer has no shelf, a shelf to divide freezer for frozen groceries would improve the design. This summer when it was very humid outside the Refrigerator was making a gurgling sound when it was opened.

Love this fridge!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I have had this fridge for just over a month now, and it is perfect. The temperature stays consistent, it's big enough for gallon jugs of tea, and has lots of space in the door for condiments.

Great fridge but could be better

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this fridge to replace an older one. The shelves are metal wire and do not support bottles and items very well they are always falling over. I wish they would have stick with the glass shelves they were so much better in supporting odd items. The shelves are spaced out well and hold gallon of milk very well. They left out a cold cut drawer for the fridge part and I used that all the time. The omitted the full shelves in the freezer and put a little corner shelve instead. Now everything is mashed together so I had to buy a aftermarket shelf so it was more organized as they do not make one for this fridge even though it has the slots for it.

Crisper drawers

Basic but quality

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this a couple of months ago and so far it seems like it's descent quality. It is very basic being that it is just a top freezer. One thing that bothered me was the freezer rack system or lack thereof. I do like the subtle but efficient refrigerator design. Little things like the deep bottom shelf and solid door storage are nice.

A REFRIGERATOR IN SHINING ARMOR

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I Purchased A Refrigerator a couple years ago made by one of those companies known for TV's and Electronics. It was a very fancy piece of equipment with a lot of dings and dongs, bells and whistles and eye catching digital displays. This stuff is all good for a TV when your watching your favorite movie on a Saturday night, but when I need fine chilled glass of wine, and my husband needs a nice cold brew these guys fall way too short. I choose this refrigerator because of its high rated history of being dependable. If you want sour grapes and skunky brew you can go with those other brands. If you want your food and drinks to be cold and fresh I suggest your choose AMANA!

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Runs well, shelves a little cumbersome and ill placed. Han to place liners over wire rung shelves, things kept tipping over. Door seal is really strong, too strong have to use both hands to pull fridge door open and fridge moves when this is done. Humidity control is great.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this fridge about 5 months ago and I have to say I am extremely happy and satisfied with it overall. I need something a little bigger but not too big as the apt we live in is compact. But let me tell you, the size was perfect, the space in the bins and doors is great. Meats stay fresh, fruits and veggies too. I would recommend. Also very stylish.

So glad I decided on the Amana!!!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I purchased my new Amana refrigerator 2 months ago and I could not be happier! It is quiet; the space in the refrigerator portion is well designed; everything is visible with the clear shelving; the freezer is larger than I expected; and my electric bill has dropped since it was installed. But the great feature for me is the door and the way it is organized. I am able to store so much in the door and, better yet, find it quickly! So glad I decided to replace my 30 year old Amana with a newer model!

Lots of room but could be organized better

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This is a nice basic refrigerator. There's lots of room but it's not organized very well. I had to make a shelf for the freezer section, it's just a big box. The shelves in the refrigerator part has the grid too far apart, so when you put a narrow package on it, like a soda bottle, the package tips over. I saved a glass shelf from my old refrigerator and I placed it on top. The door is difficult to reverse, I had to tip the whole refrigerator back to remove the bolts for the hinges. All that said, I will be satisfied if it lasts as long as the last one!

Doug M · Jul 21, 2021

Great once the freezer shelf was swapped

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

What I love: Smoothest crisper drawers I've ever had. Very little open space required around it. Good at keeping things cold. Lots of space in the door, even if I did have to change where everything goes. What is 'meh': No shelf drawer (didn't even know about the market to add one; I added two). Wire shelf instead of solid. What I hate: Tiny freezer shelf and the lack of the option to get a full-width shelf. Fixed it with a 25" shelf and capping the ends with ballpoint pen caps trimmed to the same length. It's been working great so far.

Paul E. · Jul 8, 2021

A Much Needed Change

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this refrigerator as an added bonus to replace the old refrigerator in the garage that had been saving us because our new one in the house kept having issues. We had to purchase a new one for the house and decided it was time to retire the old garage model, too. Of course, we were nervous because the old one had been doing its job above and beyond what it should have for over a year of our house frig issues. It goes without saying that we have not been disappointed in the least. This Amana is doing a great job and had lots of room that we did not have previously. I was worried about having a white frig in the garage, but it cleans up beautifully. Our repairman recommended it and we have not been disappointed in the least! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a frig to get the job done.

It works

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

It’s a 2nd Fridge that’s kept in the garage. Seems to handle the higher exterior heat in the garage just fine. Purchased this model because it has a larger freezer to fridge ratio. It could use a light in the freezer. No other complaints thus far.

We expected this fridge to last longer then 3 or 4 yrs. All of sudden the fridge was freezing food. The freezer wasn't freezing. So now we need a fridge and can't afford a fridge. Appliances should last longer then 3 or 4 years I would expect 10 years.

Nice refrigerator at a great price

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We bought this Amana refrigerator to replace a Whirlpool fridge that had lasted over 25 years. Since Amana and Whirlpool are made by the same company, we felt good about the quality of the product. The freezer section is huge and the refrigerator layout works well. Didn't realize until it was delivered that it has wire shelves so we had plexiglass liners made. Only complaint is that the unit makes lots of unusual noises but according to the Amana company, these noises are normal. Otherwise it is a nice unit at a great price.

My father purchased a home to age in place. I needed to get him a refrigerator that was easy for him at 86 to "get in/out of" and the door swing could be adjusted so if you have a walker you can open to the easy entry in the kitchen. The Amana ART308FFDW had perfect features for him-easy to "see" everything with the light, clear bins, and all the various storage areas and compartments. At his age the freezer on top makes great sense for his ice cream snacks!

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Works well and is well made. Shelves should have closer wires as cans and bottles tip when not perfectly situated on the shelves. Also should have more choices for shelf adjustment, only the bottom is tall enough for gallons of milk. Also, the door shelves cannot accommodate taller bottles like wine or champaigne.

I bought this refrigerator April. I wish 1) the ice pieces didn’t freeze up into a block of ice. 2) the gasket around the freezer door would stay on when door is opened. It’s still coming out of groove and it have to be pushed in. Trying to chop up ice is a headache. The temperature has been lowered from the Recommended level and food didn’t freeze.

I bought this refrigerator about 5 months ago. I always had luck with Amana appliances, but this one I'm not happy with! The adjustable legs in the front do not go up enough to have door remain open when you want it to! But the biggest problem I have with the refrigerator, is the shelving! Everything falls over on the shelves. The spaces are to far apart. I think they tried to save money on these cheap wire shelves. Smaller things always fall over. Same with the freezer, I made my own shelves to store more food, and so it can be easily accessible Bottom line buy a Refrigerator with good, or glass shelves

Genester · Aug 18, 2023

good product but....

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Ever since I bought this refrigerator I have had a problem with the seals popping out of the on both the freezer and main refrigerator doors. I have to constantly push them back into place. There is also a issue with the freezer for this model, there was no shelf. Fortunately, I saved my previous shelf from my former refrigerator and was able to customize it to fit. I also miss having a Meat drawer which my former refrigerator had. The wore shelving is kind of a pain, when you put say a water bottle on the shelving it won't stand properly on it, unless you position it just right on the wire. Otherwise the refrigerator works very well.

Nor impressed

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

If I had viewed this fridge in person, would not have purchased it. No meat drawer, no shelf in freezer section. The extra large door won't hold more than my old fridge did. Got a very unexpected surprise when a container on the top shelf in the fridge part fell to the bottom. Have never heard on a refrigerator where the wire shelves did not meet the back wall. This has a considerable gap, in the back, so not secure. I will put the rest of the wire rack that I made for the freezer on the top shelf and see if I can find a way to secure it so it doesn't slip. Like several other people have mentioned, the door seal had to be fixed. The tech who was dispatched did a great job on that. Over all I would not recommend this product.

The refrigerator door is extremely hard to open. I'm a 67 year old woman and don't have the strength I use to have. About 85% of the time, I have to hold the fridge with one hand and jerk as hard as I can 2 or 3 times to get the door to open. It's very frustrating. The freezer door works fine.

This fridge keeps good freezer temp, food and drinks cold and I like the opening slots both sides of doors to choose. You MUST measure All shelves that will hold your items. I like the layout and the look. A couple of issues. There are a couple of dark spots that look like fingerprints but I can’t seem to clean. The design problem is that when I close the refrigerator door it causes the freezer to pop open a little and then it doesn’t go back very securely. I have to hold the freezer door closed or press on it after I’ve closed the refrigerator door. And of course, sometimes I forget.

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

My new Amana did not work well from the day it was delivered. It got worse over the next couple of months so a called for service. I watched the serviceman remove the inside cover which hides the cooling system. It turns out that the assembler at Amana mounted the fan at an angle, instead of straight like it show be, so the fan blade was literally pins against the fan housing so the fan could not turn and could not circulate the cold air through the refrigerator. How did it not get tested before being shipped?

Basic Fridge

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I got this fridge 2 months ago. So far I am please with the the fridge itself. The only downside is the fit and finish and the compressor. The compressor sounds like it is struggling and is very audible. There are so sharp edges everywhere and excess insulation foam protruding from the edges. The seal around the fridge door is already loose. I have pushed the seal back into its track in the door but it always just gets pulled out again due to the pressure. Also this fridge doesn't have a handle. It will be a finger print magnet and the stainless in not treated for finger prints like some higher end models I have seen. I would say it is a budget fridge and it fills this role just fine. Overall satisfied but probably will pair with other brands

Nice unit, bad quality control

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

I bought this refrigerator less than a month ago. Nice appliance which sadly came with a problem. I have waited till now to comment until a repair had been done. It seems that the unit's door to the frig compartment wasn't properly sealed at the factory. This allowed hot moist air to enter, which led to water, water everywhere inside the unit. This also led to the unit trying to cool itself far more than normal, and icing on the inside. As a former quality manager I find this lack of quality control at the factory unacceptable.Repair was done fairly quickly under warranty which is a plus.

Compressor was changed and new copper connection instead of aluminum was replaced. At least twice the whole cooling system was completely drained, tested and refilled with no change . Currently Amana review team is going to contact us as to how this issue will be handled. Not sure we want the same model unless we can be assured it will work properly. SKIP THIS AMANA UPRIGHT FRIDGE

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

Just had a new 18 cu.ft. Upright AMANA delivered to us. Top Freezer is larger than average, consequently Fridge section is lower and necessitates bending way-over even to reach items in the middle of top fridge shelf and must get on hands and knees to reach items on the bottom 2 Fridge Shelves. Condensation forms on the top of the Fridge Compartment, then turns to Ice on the back of the Fridge Compartment, even after trying different temp. settings for the Fridge & Freezer Compartments. Door shelves nothing like Amana Advertisement on Internet, with Shelf for quart size bottles at bottom of door and very, very inconvenient!! Fresh Vegetables Freeze in Crisper Drawers!!

I am sorry I bought this Refrigerator now.

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

I bought this Refrigerator a month ago. It's smaller than the 18 cu. ft I have bought in the past. The advertisement is misleading as well. It says the size is 18.2 cu.ft. Very little space in the top freezer, for frozen items . A small rack about a fourth the size of a full rack for freezer space. I have another Amana 26 cu. ft., side-by-side I've had about ten yrs. The handles started to come off about a week after it was delivered, and the bottom cover underneath the front of the refridge, pops off when you open the freezer door. The ice maker, started to rust afew months after I had purchased it. For the money you charge for the poor quality of these appliances is outrageously. I had another 18 cu.ft., refrigerator I had for almost twenty-seven years, and in Nov.2018, it stopped working. It was a Sears Kenmore. I had it serviced four times out of the 26 yrs I had it. And it still looked new when this Amana was delivered. I wished my kenmore was fixable,I woluldn't have been disgusted with this Amana I bought a month ago.
