Customer photo 1Great features and super quiet!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Just received our GE refrigerator/freezer unit. We had ordered it months ago. It was worth the wait,so far at least! It has many great features that we didn’t have with our last unit. Updated water filter(that filters out more chemicals) for the ice machine, a warning sound if the door or drawer is left open and a great door storage lay out.

what I wanted
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Having a hip replacement and dreading not being able to bend down to get to my produce drawers and lower shelf so I was glad to find the color and size I promised myself for "someday". Very easy to reach all parts and really appreciate the pull out freezer drawer.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
Good size, great ice maker, fridge is a little loud but nothing that bothers us. Stays pretty clean but we don’t have kids running around. Really like the door alarm feature.

Love this fridge
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
We were looking to replace our standard fridge but i desperately wanted a new fridge with a freezer on the bottom. The problem? We are constricted by size. We couldn't go any wider than 30 inches and truthfully needed to be under that. There aren't a lot of options for bottom freezer on such a small fridge. But after a lot of research and patience, we went with the GE and i don't regret it! The ice maker is awesome. It has a little more space then our previous fridge and is WAY easier to organize. We've had it a few months now and i still smile when i walk into the kitchen. i definitely recommend.

Small Freezer
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
I’m still getting used to full shells & and learning about the need for organizing bins. However, my fresh vegetables seem to stay fresh longer. It’s noisy & sometimes rattles. The freezer seems so much smaller than my comparable freezer on top refrigerator, same cubic ft. but doesn’t seem to store as much food. Therefore, I can’t buy extra with good sales.
Preemies · Aug 7, 2021
This is a very high quality appliance
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Generally speaking, I used to buy more economically priced refrigerators. However, the fact that the engineers at GE designed fully Sabbath compatible fridges - got us to upgrade to a high-quality one. It is one fantastic device! Silent, smoth, beautiflly contoured - well worth the price!

So far, so good.
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
So far the fridge is working as I expected. I like the bright interior which makes it easy to see everything. Love the pull out drawer freezer. We won't hook up the ice make until our hard water is treated. I just wish the refrigerator came in a wider option. It is a bit narrow.

LJeanReese · Jun 2, 2021
It's a refrigerator & it’s black
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
So far it keeps the food in the refrigerator portion cold and the food in the freezer frozen. When it is running it can be loud and it even seems a little louder after we’ve had at a few months. It does the job, but if I sound less than enthused about the refrigerator it’s because this refrigerator is smaller than the one it replaced and finding things in it is more difficult than in the other. Our last refrigerator unexpectedly quit and at the time there was not a lot of options readily available due to the Covid shut down etc. So we’re lucky to have this one!

GREAT LOOKING APPLIANCE
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Too us forever to find what we were looking for. once we located a supplier that carried this model and had it in stock it only took 7 days to get it. I installed it myself and the supplied instructions were very clear and precise.

Beautiful well working fridge!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
We were ready for an upgrade from our 27 year old fridge and we were limited in our width options for our new fridge. Thankfully we found this beauty that fits perfectly and is exactly what I was looking for. I really wanted a water dispenser but unfortunately our width restrictions didn't allow a fridge that style so I'm overall very pleased with this option instead!

Very roomy and great ice machine
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
This fridge has plenty of space for large families. We have 5 boys and obviously have a ton of food to store but there is always enough room. The ice maker is also quite good and we never run out of ice.

Roomy capacity

I particularly like the fact that I was able to purchase a freezer below, black appliance. Stainless steel, double door would not have worked in my kitchen.

Roomy interior
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
A lot of space to store things and be able to see them - no hidden corners for leftovers to hide. The shelves in the door are also quite large for condiments and beverages.

Only one complaint
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
It seems to work well I like the display and setting of temperatures, the alarm for opened door, the shape and quantity of ice cubes. I do not like the noise generates by the sliding drawer in the freezer.

Serves its purpose
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
My expensive counter depth French door lasted only 6 yrs. This was purchased as a replacement. I needed ASAP and this was the only one I liked that would arrive quickly. Unit makes sufficient ice and the fridge is roomy enough, but the freezer is too small. Also, it is somewhat noisy.

Stylish, practical and quiet!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
We've had the refrigerator for a couple of months and it's been great! Plenty of storage space for everything and I love the separate controls for the fruit and vegetable storage. There's plenty of storage space in the freezer as well and the offset sliding drawer in the freezer makes it a breeze to locate items in it. Also, the unit is very quiet when running and its design definitely helps update the appearance of our kitchen. We had limited space for a refrigerator in our older home and this unit fit perfectly... great purchase!

Delighted
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Was very surprised at how much space there is in this refrigerator. The width is actually 2 inches smaller than my previous GE refrigerator, but there is so much more room. The depth in the refrigerator and the side shelves gives me so much more space. Have always had GE refrigerators and will continue to buy their products. Love it!!!

Outstanding Purchase
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
When our old refrigerator "died" about three months ago, my husband and I purchased a new GE refrigerator from our local furniture supply store. We've been very satisfied with the organization and styling features that allows us clear visibility and access to all foods. It's quiet, has beautiful inside lighting features, and is easy to keep clean.

Best Refrigerator Yet and I'm 70
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Quiet operation. Large freezer W/ large ice bin. Deep door shelves for large bottles of juice etc. Ice water filter within easy reach. The front surface is pleasingly curved, reminds me of Mom and Dad's old refrigerator in the mid 50's.

Perfect bottom-freezer purchase!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
It's hard to find a slightly smaller version of the bottom freezer refrigerators out there, but I'm so glad this GE model was offered by A.J. Madison. Interior is quite large, easily moved shelves and bins allow for customizing, easy to see and use the temperature controls. All-in-all, great!
historicarlington · Sep 16, 2016
They changed the shape
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
This replaced a 30 year old Amana refig, they've made it narrower so it got taller and deeper than standard... I just made it under the height for my cabinets but the depth is causing me problems, and the inside space is not as usable. Everything is deep and narrow so things are down in a hole. I know I should have gotten the 24 cu/ft but I didn't want the french double doors, mine is a 20 cu/ft single door. That said I like the unit, slate is so much better that black or SS (no almond anymore :) and is working just fine. My ice make is inside, easy to use and doesn't dump ice all over the floor every time I get ice. (I live in the desert). I will see how it's working in 10 years :)

Noisy!!!!
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
The freezer fan has a high pitched whine that is extremely annoying!! They put a new fan in. The new fan is just as noisy. I am sure I will have to go through a lot of hassle to get a frig that works properly.

Loud Hum
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
Fridge in general is good. But whilst it’s running it makes a terrible high-pitched noise that pulses. Was told by a GE repairman that it’s inevitable and unfixable.
Johnson75 · Sep 10, 2020
It works, but you could do better.
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
Our Whirlpool broke after only 5 years. Our repairman said that GE is more durable, so we bought one. In terms of features and price, it is very similar to the Whirlpool we bought five years ago. However, it just isn't as good a build. Everything feels cheap and rickety. When you close the freezer door, it has trouble rolling in the shelves. The freezer shelves in particular feel flimsy...they don't move well, and feel like they are going to break any minute. The ice-maker works quickly, but the cubes come out all stuck together. The shelves are not nearly as configurable as the Whirlpool, and again, they just feel more rickety. The only thing I like better than the whirlpool; the door has tons of space, with deep, yet accessible shelving.
