I purchased this refrigerator because I was tired of leaning over to get into my previous top-freezer model. This bottom-freezer model is exactly what I hoped... eye level view of inside the unit without bending over. I also really like the interior set-up of the refrigerator section (the freezer is a bit smaller than I am used to, but still fairly roomy). Overall, a great looking unit, and a well-designed one. Happy to know that Whirlpool/Maytag is still quality.

Fridge fits perfectly into our limited space. Love the pull out freezer drawer on the bottom. The only thing I am going to criticize is that the drawers in the fridge don’t open and shut very smoothly. Otherwise a great product.

Perfect fit

We bought this Maytag to replace another Maytag that we had for 18 years. It was still working but we are changing over to stainless from white. It has exactly the features we wanted including an ice maker and bottom freezer. It also is one of the few units we could find that fit into the space.

Just installed this on Friday, and I’m glad I went with the Maytag. The extra drawer makes for a better layout and storage option than others I looked at. We’re limited in size to fit our built in cabinets, so this model is the largest we could go with.

Fits Right In

We purchased this for a home used as a nightly rental. It was a challenge to find a refrigerator with a bottom mount freezer to fit into the existing space, this one fits right in. Having an ice machine is a dream, I like the split shelves for a couple of reasons, I think they are stronger than having one long continuous shelf and are more versatile for arranging the interior space. This refrigerator is quiet and easy to clean, I think it has given our kitchen an updated look. Yes, I would recommend this refrigerator .

I have an old fashioned kitchen with beautifully restored wooden cabinets. Unfortunately that made it difficult to find a modern stainless steel refrigerator to fit. This refrigerator is modern, has smudge free stainless and bottom freezer.i It's not huge like other bottom freezers. I've already added my magnets to the door to make it feel at home. It is PERFECT!!

We bought 2 of these to replace sidekicks ref/freezer. I love the ability to adjust the shelving and all the door bins which is why I gave it a 4 star. However, the produce and deli drawers do not slide very easily and it was a little noisier than I expected although not loud when it runs. Overall I am happy with our purchase but if you have to put the handle on the opposite side be aware, there are dents where it was originally put on because they had been screwed on too tight from the manufacturer. I would recommend it if you need a smaller refrigerator because of its ability to adjust the interior shelves and interior functionality.

I've never had a bottom freezer and I'm managing just fine with it on the bottom versus being on the top. I love the wide door storage shelves and the third long storage tray

I’ve been using the refrigerator for one week. Installation was easy. I like that the shelves are easy to move around to customize my needs. I did end up removing one of them entirely to accommodate the height of jars and beverages that I use. I have been keeping track of the temperature with a thermometer. The manufacturers recommended setting is for, however I needed to put it at five to achieve safe food storage temperatures in the refrigerator. It is mostly quiet, although it does make some loud noises occasionally when the condenser kicks on. Overall, I am very happy with the fridge.

Giving it four stars because two of the drawers came with scratches. I've had Maytag send me twice now, the incorrect fruit and vegetable drawer, and used/scratched deli drawer. Other than that, I love it. Lots of room.

the product is what l wanted and bought .l liked the one my son and his family bought. So,when it was time to replace it,l went for it. no water filter system. Great. Keep it simple. Do not need a water dispenser that requires a filter. Secondarily l like the ice cube shape. negatives are : too many steps to lower wheels to move appliance, also the storage bin trays seem fragile. Over all happy with it and it's asthetics,

I bought my new fridge a couple of months ago and so far I really like it. My only problem with it is when they change the door handle and at the top of the fridge they moved the hinge but now there’s no cover over where the hinge used to be. I really thing some kind of cover should be there.

I love my new Maytag refrigerator/freezer. There's plenty of room for everything, I love the freezer drawer on the bottom, there are plenty of shelves in the refrigerator part and it runs very quietly. I no longer have to keep adjusting yhe volume on the television like I had to with my old one! The only thing it took a while to get used to is the "clunk and whir-ing" noise it makes when the fan adjusts itself. I had to look it up on-line to figure out what this noise was and apparently that's what it is and it's kind of loud and startling sometimes. Otherwise it's perfect!

I have had the refrigerator for two weeks now and I am very pleased with it. The fingerprint resistant finish is really fingerprint resistant! I like all the space in the refrigerator and I especially like the full width storage bin to hold all my cheeses and other small items. Everything is at eye level.

Great, except for the drawers

I love this fridge for the look. I wanted the larger capacity, however it would not fit under my cabinet. (My kitchen is too small to give up cabinet space) Everything in the fridge is great, I specifically wanted the split shelves. The loss of a star is due to the drawer action. The produce and deli drawer are just plastic on plastic, and they do not open smoothly. You cannot open the deli drawer with one hand, and it kind of just falls out when open. (Especially if you are trying to get something in the back of the drawer.) Freezer is like any other, you put stuff in and forget it is there. The handles look nice. It is finger print resistant, and the non-stainless side that is exposed doesn't look bad.

Enjoying our New Maytag Fridge!

My old one had lived a good life - and this one works great. This is the only fridge that fits into the existing space. Nice fingerprint resistant finish, really like the meat and two produce drawers, the ice maker works great and on/off switch is a great feature. Our food is staying fresh so much longer. Would give it 5 stars if (1) There was more storage for half-gallon bottles. (2) Plastic drawers were not so flimsy. Hoping they stand up. Still recommend this for those like me with limited space

New Refrigerator with freezer on bottom

I received my new refrigerator and was very pleased. I had a black Kenmore for the last 23 years and it was larger. There is only 2 of us and wanted a new smaller frig. The only downside is that the draws do not slide easily and I use both hands in sliding them in and out for fear of breaking them. All in all I am pleased with the frig and all the room it has for the size.

Love the bottom freezer

I installed this a week ago and so far it is great. I love the the freezer on the bottom, everything in the fridge is easy to see and reach. Only thing that I can find that doesn't thrill me is that the drawers in the refrigerator part, feel thin and kind of cheap. Time will tell, I have only had it a week.

My new refrigerator- Maytag is great. I love that the door has many adjustable shelves. I can now put items there that used to go in the regular part of the frig. The two bins for veggies and fruit are deep enough to hold a lot. I've never had a third bin just to hold cheese and sandwich meat!!!

Temperature holding at a desired 38 degrees

I bought this just two weeks ago so maybe too soon to review, but my only early issue is in order to set the refrigerator to 38 degrees and hold under 40 degrees is I have it set to 7 the maximum setting. This seems so high for a brand new refrigerator. The freezer is holding at 0 degrees, which I want, with the setting set at 5 . Does it take a longer amount of time for the refrigerator to hold a steady temperature so the setting can be reduced to the recommended 5???

Lots of GOOD, one minor issue from great!

We brought this 3 weeks ago and we are glad we did! The calling card was a bottom freezer, as we are well over 65. With the top frig we do have to lay on the floor to add or retrieve items form the bottom shelves, we can access the whole refrigerator. The shelves are so adjustable that everything fits and is available easily. My only real issue is the deli drawer does not slide in and out easily, jamming on one side or the other. If I had to make one improvement, besides the deli drawer, I would have the top freezer basket, containing the ice bin, open along with the freezer drawer, making ice and the top basket's most used contents available on the first pull, instead of having to make a second pull to access ice and top basket contents.

Smudge proof stainless

It took a while to get this refrigerator due to no stock. I chose this product because of size required in my kitchen. I find that to keep the temperature cold enough in both refrigerator and freezer, I needed to go to 5 instead of factory setting of 4. I do like this refrigerator and love the fact that the stainless is smudge proof.

Great Size for Condo

I replaced my old refrigerator with the same model. It is a great fridge. However, the new design inside has a small drawer all the way across the bottom and the two drawers above tend to fall out when you pull them out because the can't rest on the inside of the fridge.

I was extremely hesitant to purchase this one because of it's price tag, however I've been so happy with it that the money doesn't bother me any more. The main reason I wanted this frig was for the design (bottom freezer, frig on top with single door, and no water features on the door). As a bonus, it also has a butter shelf. Any other frig I looked at would have forced me to lose one or more of these features. Based on past reviews, my concerns when purchasing this frig, aside from the cost, were 1) the tabs on the crisper drawers, 2) the seal on the frig door after the freezer was opened then closed and 3) the bottom meat/cheese drawer. I had read the tabs above the crisper drawer had broken for some people. I can see how that could happen in the future, but the tabs don't stick out as much as I thought they would, so I'm not concerned. I do think this is a design that should be changed on future models of this frig. Yes, the frig door seals extra tight just after you've opened then closed the freezer door, but it hasn't prevented me from opening the frig and it doesn't pull the frig out of place at all. I'd much rather have this temporary issue that a poor seal all the time (which I've seen on other frig brands). The bottom meat/cheese drawer does not move extremely smoothly and is the feature I find most annoying, but I can live with it because of how much I love everything else. What I love about this frig is the color (of the sides just as much as the stainless steal door; it just looks nice). I love all the options I have for the layout inside. It's very quiet (we did not hook up the ice maker, which may or may not make a difference in noise level). The quality of manufacturing just appears better (more attention to detail, less insulation creeping out of crevices like I've seen in some Whirlpool models). The drawers don't hit the door when the door is opened at 90 degrees like some GE models I saw in-store. I still like whirlpool and GE for other appliances, but I think I'm sold on Maytag for refrigerators.

My Hands Don't Leave Fingerprints

It was delivered on June 02, 2023. So, I've had it for only 1-1/2 months. The Maytag refrigerator is beautiful with its simple lines and bottom tub-freezer. So far, there has been no frost or ice to remove. The stainless steel finish is easy to wipe down with a damp cloth to make it look brand new. My hands don't leave any prints on the stainless steel. The refrigerator works well; the food stays fresh and edible, or frozen solid at the level of 4, which the delivery man set for me. I originally had a white refrigerator which opened up my kitchen space. However, the color stainless steel is much darker and makes my kitchen look smaller. It makes consistent, but sporadic, quiet sounds of clicks and hums of operation, even though I don't have the ice maker connected. I'm still enjoying my new refrigerator.

This is our first bottom freezer refrigerator unit. It will take some getting used to. we make our own ice, because our sink is 10 feet away from the refrigerator space. We cannot reasonably run water to the included, filtered ice maker unit in the 'fridge. I love not having to bend over to retrieve items from the crispers at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment. I am 6'-0" and it was becoming more and more difficult as I get older.

Since there are only two of us, it fulfills all of the needs we have for refrigeration and freezing. The only drawback is there is not temperature readout for the refrigerator or freezer, only a numerical setting. We purchased two thermometers to rectify this problem, and now we can see both temperatures as they relate to the numerical settings. Overall, a good purchase.

I got this refrigerator about a month ago. Had some initial worries about it fitting through doorways but no issues upon delivery. Measure, measure & measure again! Refrigerator is great..great lighting, lots of door storage, shelves are easy to clean, lots of room in freezer..love the baskets. The only issue I have is sometimes the door to fridge sticks, and takes a couple of pulls to open. Icemaker is wonderful...love having ice whenever I need it. Old icemaker took hours to make ice. it's quite a bit narrower than my old one, so I have room on the side to hide my broom and step stool! I'd recommend this unit to anyone with a smaller household. No issues with the noise level. Looks beautiful with my other SS appliances & real classes up the kitchen!!

I love it’s looks & the organization space & compartments that the refrigerator provides .Unfortunately the refrigerator ran consistently at 41degrees even when the control was placed at 6. The service people came 3 times & finally adjusted the refrigerator thermostat set at the factory. So far the temperature is registered between 37&39 but the control is at 5. I had no problem with freezer temperature. I’m hoping the refrigerator will continue to run cold enough to keep milk fresh.

Going from a 1980s 22 cu ft. side by side to this 19 cu ft. fridge has been a challenge. Losing 2 crisper drawers and having to take out 1 shelf to make this fridge work for the two of us has been a venture, but it's not too bad. I'm considering purchasing some clear plastic fridge organizers to help with organization. The only real complaint I have about this fridge is the ice maker - it's LOUD and makes these loud noises at random times. (Putting 2 stars below for this reason.) It took it all weekend to make enough ice to finally shut off the ice maker after it was installed on Friday afternoon. Otherwise the fridge is nice and quiet. Here's hoping this one lasts almost as long as our last fridge. :)

Super happy with this refrigerator so far. We live in a small cabin, so this size is perfect! A bit of popping noise from the compressor every once in a while, but pretty quiet. The butter w/cover shelf for the door does not fit the upper area as described. We just moved it down once slot (design flaw in the smaller model I assume). Love the deli drawer! Will line the basket for the freezer to catch debris as you have to empty out the basket to clean below. We bought this sight unseen on the web as no one close to us had a floor model. As with most things plastic these days, you need to be careful with the drawers overloading and pulling in and out. We paired it with a stove and dishwasher. Very pleased with all three.

We just replaced our refrigerator and decided on this unit. We love the bottom freezer and storage capacity. The fingerprint resistant finish is great and it works well. My reasons for giving it 4 stars is that the shelves have really big side supports and it limits what you can put beneath the shelves. Also fingerprint resistance should have bee applied to the handles as well. Fingerprints all over the handles. It doesn't make sense not to do the handles as that is how you open and close the doors. They get grabbed all the time. They show fingerprints really bad. One more thing, they could have painted the side black or at least offer black.

I had a bottom mount refrigerator a long time ago and loved it. I'm so happy I have found this one because it fits in the space in my home allowed for it. Its design is simple without a lot of fancy add-ons but its design is clean and the convenience is wonderful. Recommend it to anyone living in a small home who just wants clean lines, a bottom freezer with ice maker and a good interior design which makes it easy to use and keep clean inside as well as the finger print resistant stainless steel.

I’ve had my new fridge for almost two weeks. We wanted the freezer at the bottom, and our space is very limited. We chose the Maytag because of very good reviews. It is nearly 3 square feet smaller than our previous refrigerators which had the freezer at the top. We are only two people...this fridge is small, and I don’t see how it could work for a larger family. We are still getting used to the smaller size. We also left out one of the shelves as this arrangement works better for us. Size aside, this is a nice fridge! BTW, when it was delivered we had an electrician installing a new dishwasher. He said we’d made an excellent choice of refrigerators!

I am going to agree with another reviewer. I am 5’5” and petite. I often feel that I have to brace myself to open the fridge door because it’s so hard to open. I did just have breast surgery and was actually not able to open it on my first day home from the hospital. I have not been able to find any notes on adjusting this. The door swings open too far and too fast, hitting the door trim next to it. After the first day of use I had a mark on my fridge door that will not come out. Other than these things it’s a great product.

I replaced my 35 year-old refrigerator with this model since it had to be small to fit into the space and my custom cabinetry. I the visibility of the products on the shelves and door,how light it is to move around, and having a freezer on the bottom. My big criticism (and almost deal-breaker, since my other fridge was working just fine) is that I had to wait 2 MONTHS for it to arrive at the appliance store!!!!! Is this reasonable?

I love how quiet the unit is and it looks great as well. I only wish that the plastic used for the interior compartments were of a heavier grade material. It doesn't take much effort or weight in the deli drawer for the handle to flex when pulling it out. Also, though it is larger in cu. ft. measurement than my old refrigerator, its design is such that the freezer compartment holds less than the old unit did. Overall however, I am satisfied with the refrigerator.

As others have mentioned the drawers inside the fridge could be improved but after applying a small amount of olive oil they pull in and out smoothly. Great not to have to stoop to see what's in the fridge. AND it looks good!

I like the bottom freezer with its two bins a lot. It's very convenient though sometimes ice cubes spill onto the floor from behind. But I don't like the layout of the refrigerator that much. I like the big bins for meat and produce at the bottom, but they leave too little space at the top for three shelves. In order to make the middle shelf big enough for bottles, I had to make the top one very small and since I am short, I can't reach the back of it. I have mixed feelings about the door; I like its flexibility but again, not enough space for tall items and I can't reach the top well.

I just bought this refrigerator because I was limited on the height of the appliance. My old Maytag was 33" wide and 66"tall. I looked for models with those measurements and couldn't find anything that fit in the height. So I found this one. It is limited on space and am disappointed. Freezer is small also. And it is not too fingerprint resistant. I find smudges. Thank God I have no small children. I think the interior could have been designed better and also the door with shelving have really limited options. Stuck with it I guess. Would only recommend this refridgerator to a very small family with limited space for the appliance.

This fridge is smaller than my last one which was a whirlpool. Despite the size change...it works because It's easier to access and see things in the fridge. My only complaint is it makes a bit more noise than my whrilpool and I wish it didn't have an automatic ice maker. I'd rather dedicate the space to ice trays and frozen food.

I had limited space for a refrigerator, but wanted a bottom freezer. This was one of the few that would work. I’m glad I got it because it’s so quiet I don’t even know it’s running. Once in a while I hear ice dropping from the ice maker, but that is normal. I deducted 1 star because the freezer is a bit smaller than our old frig, but since we have a chest freezer it’s not a problem.

I purchased this refrigerator one month ago and really like it. The stainless steel finish not only adds pizzazz to my kitchen but is also easy to keep clean. My only concern is the large drawer for meats as it feels somewhat weak and may break when you pull it out. Just enough space for a family of two. The bright light inside is a great feature. The bottom freezer drawer with the separate compartments is very efficient and items can easily be identified.

After using my new stainless steel finish refrigerator for a month, I am very glad that I made this purchase. Its simple and clean facade blends perfectly with my stainless sink and dish washer. It pulls the whole room together. I particularly like having the refrigerator on top and the freezer on bottom. I don't use my freezer nearly as often as the refrigerator and I like having the brightly lit section at eye level. The door compartments hold lots of small jars, milk, juice and wine, leaving lots of space for other foods in the main part of the refrigerator. I asked to have the door handle reversed so that it opens from right to left. I'm looking forward to using this appliance for a long time and I am sure it will meet my food storage needs.

Overall a decent fridge but lacks in quality parts on the interior. Drawers don't slide very well, some of the plastic pieces are rather cheap and breaks easily. But what we are most disappointed with is that this model does not have any water filter for the ice maker and that the ice maker gives the ice a plasticy, chemically taste which we are still waiting for it to clear.

Overall, I do like the refrigerator. The bins and drawers are not very substantial and do not slide in and out easily even after putting silicone on the slides. After one week, ice started melting in the freezer and I had to increase the settings to "5" from the recommended "4". It would be nice if the deli drawer were a bit deeper to fit sandwich meat and cheese blocks without having to shave them down.

I am only giving it 3 stars on the new refrigerator, model number MBF1958FEZ. Because the freezer bottom drawer of the freezer compartment does not open & close easily and correctly. When we are closing the drawer, the one side of the drawer closes before the other side of the drawer, and the wire drawer baskets do not work freely when opening and closing them inside of the freezer. We would like to have a Maytag/Whirlpool repair specialist to look at the refrigerator to see if there are any adjustments that can be made to make it work correctly. This refrigerator seems to be working ok although compared to the 30-year-old KitchenAid it is definitely less sturdy. I particular the shelves and drawers are very light, and loose feeling and hard to shut. It is definitely an example of cost saving construction by making appliances less well done.

The freezer in our former refrigerator (GE Profile model) stopped working and we needed a replacement quickly. Because we live in a 1950's Cape Cod the spot for our refrigerator can not accommodate the latest larger & fancier models. We would have preferred to stay with our GE suite of appliances, but that option was no longer available. So far, this refrigerator seems fine. There are only two of us in the house and it seems adequate.

I’m very happy with the two units that I purchased. Two things that prevent five stars. The quality of the crisper drawers is substandard, when you pay so much for a fridge, the drawers should be solid, not cheap. Maytag has got to come up with a better solution for the holes on the face of the units for door handle, left or right. You put a cheap screw head plug, poorly colored and expect people to smile. Your units have a great high end look, many people are putting units side by side in kitchens, those holes are unnecessary. A customer should be given two flat, stainless plugs without a flat screwdriver slice in them. Why you can’t make a left handed and right handed models, it is your nemesis. It’s all about cutting corners. Maytag could be a top seller for these units in high end kitchens. Try not to cheapen your product with holes in the face of the fridge doors. As far as the units keeping the temp consistent, so far so good, but it’s only been 3 months.

I really loved my old Maytag of the same model. I still cant believe it only lasted 9 years. I bought a new Maytag of the same model because I liked the design and quality of the old one. I am a little disappointed in this one. The plastic shelving in the doors is not as sturdy and they do not hold the same amount of items as the old one. The design tweaks that were made to the interior actually give me less storage in the refrigerator compartment. The door to the refrigerator is not adjustable. The door swings too wide and this was not much better after being looked at and properly leveled.This was not a problem with the old model. This is a good looking refrigerator with a decent amount of storage. Perfect for a small space.

Disappointed

I bought this 30 inch refrigerator to replace a larger unit. The newer 33 inch refrigerators are now too tall to fit in my opening. I am not happy with the small refrigerator, it has no capacity, and the pull out freezer drawer has no capacity, and makes it very hard to find anything. I wish they would not have made the 33 inch unit taller. I miss my old refrigerator.

I got this and really don't like the overall size. I actually thought I was getting something bigger than this is. But I guess I'm stuck with it. I like the ice maker. All in all it is a nice fridge.

not a great freezer

the freezer baskets are all opened and evert time you open the freezer frost drips on the wooden floors. design is very poor, they should have bins instead of baskets.

Freezer on bottom is great

I like the freezer on the bottom,the vegetables bins are smaller than my old frig. They are made of cheap plastic and crack easy. I wish they were sturdier and slide easier! As all new appliance they make them cheaper so you have to buy new ones. What a waste......my old fridge was 1989 ......they told me new ones last 7 to 10 years! Just be careful with the drawers /bins! Other wise love the fridge !

Changes from our 2006 Maytag that are not good.

The old handles were the length of the door and attached to the hinge of the door. The Energy Rating was better in 2006 than now!! The drawer below the fruit & veg limits the depth of the shelves in the frig proper.

Limited shel configuration

We bought this two weeks ago because we previously had a Maytag refrigerator but I do not like it as well as the other. Would rather have had the small extra bin that I had in my other one as the long large one at bottom takes up too much space as it limits the configuration of shelves. Which I would have noticed this before buying. Would not buy it again.

Noisy and won’t stay cold

We bought this refridge in October and it is really noisy. It also won’t stay cold. The drawers are flimsy and fall off their track. We are not happy but can’t afford to buy another one.

Not enough space inside!

I purchased this refrigerator as a replacement for a 25-year-old Kenmore refrigerator. I needed this specific size due to custom cabinets and i wanted the fridge top freezer bottom. Unfortunately, the Maytag has half the room that the Kenmore fridge had. I was able to store full size aluminum pans of food (catering pans) on every shelf in my old Kenmore, the Maytag is lucky to fit 2 pans after emptying the entire top shelf of its contents. There are 3 drawers, and the bottom drawer is completely useless with limited capacity for maybe shredded cheese or lunch meat. The configuration of the brackets on the shelves creates separation that was not there in my old fridge. Overall, if i did not need to replace my last fridge, i don't think i would have purchased this fridge because of it's limited capacity. I live in Chicago, and you cannot even put a pizza box in this fridge!

I purchased this unit for it's reliability and quality. However this was not the case. The inability to clean the cooling coils properly. The poor design and loss of space due to freezer drawer. The poor quality and operation of shelves and containers with refrigerator section. How it was arrived at that this is a 18.7-19.0 unit is a mystery at best.

No Cubes

The ice maker is not working properly. The first 2 days it was making a few ice cubes, but now it’s not making any.I will be calling the dealer tomorrow. Hopefully this is something minor. The refrigerator section works well.

I have only had my Fridge for about a month and the shelving has broken. There is a screw that holds the plastic shelving which the drawers also attach to and this screw has stripped out and therefore the drawers were falling out. Took everything out and my husband had to find another larger screw to make it safe to use!!!! Plastic????

Worst Fridge I have ever had

Looks great but that's about it. Had it less than a week and complete buyers remorse. You put items in the fridge and an hour and a half they are still warm to the touch. This is at the highest cooling setting possible. Thermometer has never gone below 40 degrees on the inside shelves. On the door much higher. I had a Whirlpool before, should never had gotten rid of it for this! I wish I had read the reviews on Maytag before purchase but due to COVID this was the only thing I could find available, wonder why.

I read the reviews before purchasing and decided to go with this refrigerator. It is extremely loud. We can hear it running from several rooms away and it seems to run almost nonstop. I really wish I had gone with a different company.

I purchased this fridge online because of the size that I needed (30 inch wide). When I looked at another size (33 inch) at a local store, I was assured that the interior(hardware) of the fridge would be the same. for instance the baskets in the freezer. The one in the store had a bucket style to prevent small items from falling through, but the one's that came with this fridge are wired baskets and surprisingly I have limited storage for frozen goods. Also the sliding drawers are flimsy, they don't feel secure on the tracks and they don't slide out easily. I fear they will brake soon. Sometimes i hear a faint knocking when the motor or compressor comes on. when i hear it i think, "oh that must be the ice maker", then i realize I have the ice maker turned off. I'm not using it because of the limited storage. but hopefully that noise will go away soon since I've only had it for a week now. I love the fact that i don't have to bend over to see what's in the fridge and I love the stainless fingerprint resistant steel. but overall this far i'm disappointed in the sliding drawers and the wired baskets and limited freezer storage.

I bought this along with 3 other Maytag appliances to put in my newly renovated kitchen. I chose Maytag because I have been very pleased with other products of theirs I have owned. I was limited in choice of refrigerators because of space size and choice of color. I had to order online and was unable to see it in person before purchasing. I'm fine with the look of the outside of the refrigerator but was very disappointed with the quality of the interior - a lot of cheap plastic parts. It has been installed for only 4 months and I have already had to have a repairman replace the humidity lever for the fruit/vegetable bins. They are thin plastic and broke easily with normal opening and closing of the bins. Also, the bins do not open and close smoothly because they don't roll on a track. For the cost of this refrigerator, the interior is of very low quality. My previous refrigerator, an Amana, was the same size on the outside but had a lot more room inside, both in the refrigerator and the freezer and the bins had a track and opened and closed very smoothly. I had it for years and the inside held up very well. I feel like this new one will give me a lot of headaches.

Too Small For A Family

I received this a couple of weeks ago as a second choice sight unseen. What a mistake. I am very upset, the interior space between the shelves only tall enough for a normal size gallon of milk. My water pitcher won't even fit. I was told by the Maytag/Whirlpool Company to adjust the shelves as if I was an idiot. I have them adjusted to allow the most space available without removing the shelves. This is a nice refrigerator but seems more like an apartment or extra type of refrigerator, not one suitable as a solo family refrigerator. I would recommend if someone was looking for a very small refrigerator but say no since it dosen't meet my expectation. I am so disappointed as I love the other Maytag appliances I have.

i don't like the shelves where you put the vegetable its not sturdy. The spcae inside the fridge is not that much unlike the Samsung i just bought last time same cubic fit but the space inside is way better.
