Great fridge for small space

I like the refrigerator and agree with the other reviewers that it can hold a lot given the smaller size of this fridge. It's definitely an improvement over what I had. Unfortunately, due to the cabinet configuration of my kitchen, the choices were very limited. The only thing I don't like is the following: I wish it stainless steel on the sides of the fridge as well, and I wish the stainless steel was a bit thicker. It is supposed to be commercial grage, but I've already dented it 3 times, once when opening a door too wide and it hit the corner of the countertop, and 2 other times because a storage container fell off a shelf in the fridge and hit the top of the freezer door. I think if the stainless steel was a little thicker, this wouldn't happen so easily.

The Right Appliance For The Space

We were looking for a refrigerator that fit into our kitchen without sticking out beyond the cabinets. Our Fisher & Paykel 17 foot refrigerator fits the space perfectly without sacrificing storage. The double doors make everything accessible without wasted space in the back. The fruit and vegetable drawers are in the right spot to remind me to use them when making meals. The adjustable shelves make it possible to store more without wasted space. Soap and water clean up makes maintainence easy.

Premium Price for Premium Fridge

So far this fridge has lived up to my expectations. It has a lot of nice design features like the door handles and the fit & finish is outstanding. And the noise level is barely noticeable. This fridge has an external water filter for the ice maker which means you need to install that in an adjacent cabinet and drill holes for two water lines that go in and out of the filter. This is not a big deal because the instructions are easy to follow. Because the water filter is external, you have more room inside this compact fridge. Fisher & Paykel fridges are covered under a 5 year manufacturer's warranty therefore don't waste your money on an insurance policy for an extended warranty.

My new Fridge and Freezer

I live in an apartment and this is a great sized refrigerator for the space I have. It's new to me but I'm very happy with it so far. I haven't finished renovating my kitchen yet so I really haven't stocked it up yet. I think that's a good thing though, it will give me time to consider shelf configuration and maximizing the storage area. Right now the shelfs are suitable for tall things like a milk carton or soft drink bottle and that's what consider. The bottom freezer seems large enough and the controls seem to have been thought out very well, like being able to fast chill a bottle of wine in the freezer and the humidity controls for the crisper drawers. My model has an external water filter for the ice maker and I'm not sure yet about the best location for it and how convenient that will be. I saw that the newer models have an internal filter and that makes sense. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and hope to have many years of service from this appliance.

Don't Think Just Buy

Don't think just buy. Higher quality manufacturing and product than that of Whirlpool, Maytag and Kitchen Aid. By the way these are all the same appliances with different trim kits according to the appliance repair guy to tried to repair my Whirlpool product. According to him these appliances are designed to fail. He's let me know that Bosh is the way to go if you can't swing Fisher & Paykel and that while Bosh usually never gets a call for repair, the Fisher & Paykel is called for repair even less so. Completely recommend this appliance and the brand. I love the product.

Keeps your food fresh!

Once I realized that a batch of ice is 9 ice cubes not a full container of ice I was all set! Once the container was full it keeps it full and has an auto shut off. I like the smart fridge feature that keeps the temperature between 30 to 40 degrees consistently! It also keeps my vegetables and fruits really fresh.

Small but great design and available!

Love the fridge, a little pricey but it fit our space, and had a French door and was available immediately. My 2 complaints are the water filter is behind the fridge so you have to pull it out to change it, and the Icemaker doesn’t produce a lot of ice.

No light in the freezer

This was the model in stock that fit when I needed it. For the ridiculous price, you'd think that they could provide a light in the freezer. apparently not. other than that, it does keep things cold as it should.

Too many problems with a new refrigerator.

This is our second refrigerator. The first one the fan stopped working and there was a refrigerant leak. The freezer never kept things frozen and the cooling in the refrigerator rarely hit the acceptable temperature. The company authorized replacement as it was still under warranty. The new one immediately gave us problems- a piece broke off the ice maker and had to be replaced. The freezer drawer doesn’t open all the way and they ordered new rails to out in- in a brand new refrigerator! We are very dissatisfied with this appliance. The only reason we bought it originally was the size was right for the tight space we had in the kitchen.
