Had a whirlpool that was the same basic design and replaced it due to a kitchen remodel. Like the appearance. Lost some space by going with a counter depth but it is enough for us. Like the water filter push button dispenser. No more Brita pitcher.

I’ve had the refrigerator a week. I am so glad we did not get ice maker on the top- it makes so much more room on the door for drinks and other items. The freezer is not very big in space but good for us. Counter depth was key - it doesn’t stick out much which looks nice- I do notice it is very loud

I love the look of this refrigerator! Beautiful white with chrome handles- everything looks high end but without the high cost! It is a bit smaller than my old fridge but it’s much more user friendly than fridge on the bottom. I can see everything in there and it’s easier to keep clean as well. Not much freezer space.

Small but mighty

Small, but mighty. This fridge is a no frills product that has been reliable and consistent. The freezer freezes and consistently makes ice and the fridge stays cold. I know that sounds crazy but I just ended a two year nightmare with a Frigidaire that never worked right. I can't tell you how happy I am to have a refrigerator that works as intended. I opted for a model that I can fit in my house without taking the doors off the fridge and has fewer bells and whistles to have less that will go wrong. If I had a complaint it would be that can't fit my pitcher on the shelf and it shows fingerprints easily.

Great refrigerator except for water dispenser.

We love our new refrigerator but would like to point out one issue and that is with the interior water dispenser. Our prior Samsung french door, bottom freezer had an interior water dispenser that was activated by pressing the rim of the glass against the button and the water would come out of the spout located just above the glass, requiring one hand which was very convenient. Our new fridge has the button that activates the water located above the spout, so you have to hold the glass under the spout with one hand and press the button with the other hand, requiring two hands also while holding the door open with your body.

I bought this fridge a couple of months ago. Overall, it works well, but I’ve had one issue with the doors. If you close the left door while the right door is already closed, the motion causes the right door to pop open slightly just enough to leave the fridge ajar. This happened to me, and I ended up with a lot of condensation inside. I imagine the fridge was running constantly trying to maintain the temperature. Now, I make sure to push the right door to ensure it stays fully closed whenever I shut the left one. Same with the freezer drawer you have to push just enough to make sure it closed.

Good looking and well functioning refrigerator

I own this refrigerator for 2 weeks. It is exactly what I needed. Cabinet depth French door and more than adequate space for a family of 2. Only issues that prompted me to 4 stars is the bins are not of the heavy duty quality I had in my Jenn air refrigerator. Otherwise it cooled in only a few hours. I’ve machine started producing ice regularly in less then 24 hours. It runs a bit cold so the 38 degrees factory set might be a bit cold for some. I would recommend this product for quality and price point.

We love our new KA refrigerator

This refrigerator is a major improvement of our previous model. We decided to focus on the essentials as the previous refrigerator (Kenmore Elite made by LG) was buggy from the start. Our homeowners appliance insurance even refused to cover it after two service calls. The new KitchenAid is a dream come true. We especially love the ice maker that replaces the previous in-door model. We get all the ice we need and more. We never run out! Ice is easy to access and never ends up on the floor. The Inside water feature is so convenient. The water is actually cold and doesn’t get stuck in the on position. We’re so happy we decided to get a KitchenAid and look forward to years of dependable operation. On top of all that, it’s gorgeous and easy to keep clean.

We love this fridge. It definitely keeps our food fresher than our old fridge. I love the organization and it is much easier to keep clean and stay on top of with the shallower shelves and loads of door space. The big deli drawer is a total game changer…just the right size! The design of the interior water dispenser is a little lame, although I have figured out how to do it with one hand, finally. All in all a fantastic fridge that fits beautifully in our kitchen.

This fridge is about a third larger than our old fridge. Lots of room in the doors and shelves are adjustable to meet our needs. We like the separate pantry and produce bins and that they are transparent so we can see our inventory at a glance The cold filtered water is handy for water bottles. Freezer is large with separate bins and double shelving for easy finding what you need. Ice bin is large which is what w we need for big family living in a hot climate. Fridge is easy to keep clean. Temperatures are precise and evenly maintained . Quality of the unit is very high. Really like the pull down extra shelf which comes in handy for dessert or appetizers. Great fridge ! Highly recommend!

Nice frig.. with reservations

I needed to find a refrigerator that was counter depth. This fit the bill even though It did not have the fingerprint resistant finish I wanted. My last frig was a Kitchen Aid and was till working fine when I sold my house. I'm not keen on the handles because they stick out so far which really offsets the whole reason for the counter depth. The water dispenser stopped working less than 2 months after delivery. I'm hoping this model that is more than a decade younger than my last frig, was a good choice. It was an expensive , relatively speaking and as we all know things are not made as well as they used to. It's why it only has a one year warranty? And then, you are encouraged to buy an extendeed warranty. IMHO, if the produce was made to last , they would insure that it would.

Can you send me a video on how to change the water filter if available. I’ve always been a Kitchen Aid appliance customer. Refrigerator, Range, Dishwasher and microwave. Very satisfied with them all.

could use some design improvements

Aesthetically wife likes it. Could use a couple of design changes to improve it. 1) the pull out drawers have handles that face up so your hand lays down into them. This is going to get nasty, and will catch stuff. Should have cupped it up so that it can't hold "stuff." 2) water dispenser requires 2 hands, one to hold the cup, the 2nd to push the dispense button. Seems like they are moving backwards here..most dispensers activate when you push the cup into a button 3) the bottom freezer could tilt outwards. By tilting it outwards you really may not even need to open the freezer to just grab some quick ice cubes - second, the tilt would allow easier access in general. No complaints to far.

We bought this about 3 weeks ago after our 8 year old LG fridge stopped working. As others have said, it’s a bit noisier than our last fridge, but we’re used to it now and it’s not too loud. We decided on a Kitchen Aid after discussions with repair folks. How ridiculous is it that refrigerators are expected to last 8-10 years now?!! As a 50-something person, I’m grateful that I remember large appliances lasting 20+ years… I digress and I am hoping this KA lasts longer than 8 years!!

Overall good Refrig. The Refrigerator section is good, well designed, door shelfs could have a lower lip on a few. My only concern is the ice machine. It takes too much area in the freezer. For myself and my 3 family members, we never have used even close to the volume of ice stored. I'll suggest smaller storage tray, allowing for more food storage.

Good refrigerator very poor documentation

Bought this box as I have an older one of same model and it has been a good performing machine. The new one (this one) is to be hooked up to an RO unit so I dont need a water filter. I ordered a bypass plug that was supposed towork on this model. Not even close, called a support shop and they said new models did not need a plug, just remove filter and the water system will automatically switch to bypass mode. It sure would be nice if the install and operation instructions explaned this - would have same a whole bunch of time. I will say the way it works is a great and convenient feature, just not well documented.

We needed a counterdepth French door refrigerator to fit into a pre-existing cabinet space. This Kitchenaide French door was true to specified dimensions and rolled right into the cabinet space perfectly. Cooled to factory preset temps for both compartments in a couple of hours. Makes ice quickly on the regular mode and the on/off switch feature on the ice maker permits individual preference control. Plenty of space in the freezer for the style.

Purchased model KRFC136RPS on 11/4/25. I moved and wanted a refrigerator with the same features as my old French Door Jenn Aire. This fit the bill to a T. What I love: The exterior handles are great. They have a pattern in them so that there aren't any fingerprints. The ends of the handles are red. Which is unusual, and most don't notice. The water dispenser is inside the left wall, so it doesn't chew up space. What I don't like: The interior drawers and freezer drawer seem loose when they roll in and roll out. They wiggle and the runners feel cheap. They roll smooth, but you can move the drawers side to side. The freezer has the slowest ice maker ever. Overall, I'm happy with it. But I also took out the extended warranty as recommended by everyone on Reddit.

overall very good frig, ice make is noiser than the other one when it fills with water. Drawer layout is good, but changed so hard to get used to. This is a very good frig to get when you have a tight space to get fitted, especially for height. One in other house has lasted over 12 years and is going strong.

I bought this refrigerator about 1 month ago and overall, it is a good product, and I am satisfied with it. However, the pantry drawer seems a bit flimsy as you have to pull it out putting you grip in the middle otherwise is moves and around side to side and feels like it is going to break. I see this as something that is going to need to be replaced at some time over the products life more than once. Also, the door handles sound like hollow pipes when you touch them, which is what they are, but this is not the case with my KitchenAid range which has a similar handle design. The water dispenser inside is a great feature and I use it all the time. I would buy this again.

Replaced a 13 yr Samsung that surrendered. We have had 8 homes, new and older, and some Kitchen Aid appliances based on their reputation for brand quality and endurance. Very few obvious differences among today's counter-depth fridges except pricing, Purchased a stainless finish and model that is at the end of brand cycle, so got a good value. I was thinking GE or Whirlpool at the store, but the sales person was good at pointing out why KA should be considered. Very pleased with the choice--nice design, spacious and functional for our two-person, don't cook at lot lifestyle. Some of the door shelf positions are a little restrictive relative to typical grocery items. Quality material in and out. Excellent interior lighting. Not "too much" tech. Good icemaker, easy freezer access and organization. If you are planning a bunch of wine bottles or softdrinks you might need some acessories. If it last 10+ years with no repairs it gets 5 stars.

Bought this to replace a Kenmore Elite - so it’s a little smaller but so far so good. Ice maker makes a little more noise than the Kenmore - but a lot more ice. Noticed the drip on the inside water dispenser but I usually put down a folded napkin to catch any drips. Surprised that it didn’t have an air filter but that’s on me for not checking online.

We purchased this same model refrigeratorGood sto 5 years ago and were very happy with it as the size was perfect for the kitchen space we had to accommodate. We developed a problem with the ice maker leaking water and freezing the adjacent contents and preventing us from opening the roll-out lower freezer door but this was likely our fault for consistently overloading the bottom freezer which I suspect caused the leak. This model has an internal filtered water spout in the upper half. Some might prefer an external water and ice maker.

This is the exact same model we had before with small changes. The drawers are not as sturdy. The ice machine has an easy on/off switch. We had condensation in the refrigerator section and we saw a note on the door frame.”if you have condensation do this…”. I was just about to call in because the condensation from the door was dripping on the floor. No drips today. All in all I am pleased so far.

I have had this unit for a month, and it works just as it should. The bins are great - especially the ones on the doors. - easy to load and easy to see what is in each. The only suggestion I have is that the doors, and the freezer door, have to be purposefully closed - I have found two doors partially opened so I have learned to look twice to be sure they are fully shut.

We’re enjoying our new KitchenAid refrigerator and hope that it is as dependable as our last 3 KitchenAid refrigerators were. 3 things did disappoint us are having to manually push the button to dispense water, manually shut off the ice maker when the top freezer drawer is open, and how noisy it is. We purchased the French door refrigerator in March. The ice maker stopped working. Trying to get a service call it fix it is ridiculous. They want the owner to troubleshoot the problem. You can't get anyone on the phone. Why offer a 1 year warranty just to jump through hoops to get it repaired.

I appreciate the large storage spaces in the doors. Two things I dislike: the first is that the ice compartment does not open automatically when the freezer is opened. The second is the noise the water dispenser makes as it shuts off. It makes a disconcerting "thud" noise. The pump could be better isolated.

I am thrilled to have the turn off feature on the ice machine. for 2 people, we don;t use that much ice routinely -- I am able to shut it off so it doesn't overflow; I am short and was able to rearrange the shelving to place larger items lower.

I like the overall look of the refrigerator although it is very different from my previous refrigerators. I miss the ice and water dispenser on the door. I have had to shut off the ice maker because if left on it overfills and ice spills out when I pull the bucket out. This refrigerator is fine for me but I wouldn't recommend it for a family as the freezer compartment seems small.

It's a fridge/freezer. It works. It looks fine. It has a flawed freezer drawer though that is noisy and sometimes jerky to open like it doesn't want to be on its track since day 1. It's too big of a pain to have it replaced so we will not bother. Also, it's not the quietest. It's "fine."

The main reason I got this refrigerator was to replace a Samsung that had a horrible in-door icemaker. I wanted the icemaker in the freezer, where it belongs and this model filled the bill. I also really liked the design. It has worked fine in the few months I’ve had it. Only complaints are that it is noisier than the Samsung, the interior lighting is not very bright and is easily blocked when you put items on the top shelf. Also the door ajar alarm does not seem to work. I’ve got a technician coming to look at the alarm.

Overall, this refrigerator has a sleek design and fits well in my kitchen space thanks to its counter-depth layout. The interior is thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to organize food, and the cooling performance has been reliable so far. However, I will not be using the interior water dispenser. From past experience, I’ve found that plastic tubing in water-dispensing systems tends to develop buildup over time, which can lead to black mold or bacterial growth. This is the same reason I no longer use my Waterpik—it also develops this kind of contamination in its plastic components, even with regular cleaning. I prefer not to risk this issue in my fridge as well. If you’re someone who uses water dispensers regularly, just be aware of the maintenance involved and the potential for hidden buildup in the internal lines. Otherwise, this is a solid refrigerator with great features and quiet operation.

I purchased this refrigerator to replace my 12+ year old one (due to a leak in the inside water dispenser line). I love it! The doors are lighter in weight and when using the inside filtered water it is a little louder than my previous one. The LED lighting is a real upgrade and the textured handles are easier to keep clean. I love the additional pantry bin - new one for me.

I bought this refrigerator on June 7, 2025 and am very pleased. The delivery went beautifully and it is everything I'd hoped it would be. The only problem we experienced was due to our overfilling the bottom freezer basket which made opening the freezer drawer more difficult. But that was easily remedied by reducing the amount we put in that basket. I would recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

We've owned it for a month, and so far we are loving our new refrigerator. The ice-maker and internal water dispenser are functioning as intended. The water dispenser is a great feature, in my opinion. The refigerator is spacious for a counter-depth refrigerator. The freezer is adequate, but a bit small. I am not a fan of the wire drawer but it's working out ok for us. The appearance is beautiful and I hope it works for a very long time!

One small issue

I am generally satisfied with my purchase but there is one aspect I’d like to change. I wish I could adjust the door alarm to go off sooner. You just have the option to turn on or off but not change the when it goes off. The French doors bounce when they are closed and you need to make sure that the doors actually are closed securely.

Fridge replacement

I bought this fridge after my 25 year old Maytag side by side gave out. Wanted to try new style, but am not liking the French doors and freezer on bottom. Fridge looks okay, but I don’t like the gray sides. Front doesn’t show smudging too much and will hold my magnet collection. Fairly easy to keep clean. Too pricey to get stainless sides. Veggie and meat drawers are not very sturdy. Inside water tap not really handy since I have to open both doors every time, but water quality is nice. Hopefully this fridge will last a while.

There are improvements in this modelike the freezer is easier To use. Then there is the French door situation. Which me a you have to open both doors to use the deli tray. I have only had this refrigerator for about a month, and my initial opinion has not changed. I love this refrigerator. It replaces a side-by-side counter depth with ice and water thru the door. It has much more capacity. Ice maker is in the bottom freezer. Water is inside the door. Shelves in the French doors can be placed to make the most of your storage of bottles, jars and milk containers. Even cooling. No freezing of items stored too close to the freezer, as I had experienced with the side-by-side.

Sleek and spacious

I replace my 22 year old, functional SS Kitchenaid refrigerator. Given such longevity with no problems, I stayed loyal to the brand. I absolutely love the space of a French door versus a side by side. I love the LED right lights. The depth of the door shelves. In short, my new refrigerator looks like an ad. I have everything in glass containers for campos milks. My only disappointment is the sides are not stainless steel. It is not a problem for me as mine is surrounded by cabinetry. Just a caveat for those that must have a freestanding unit. The water dispenser is good. No more drip stains. Lastly, ice is produced well but no option for cubed or ice chips.

We had to have a new fridge quickly so did not have a lot of time for comparisons. I've been happy with the functioning of this fridge -- no particular problems. I do wish it had come with an option to have all the interior bits associated with ice maker and water filter removed before installation. We do not have a water hook up and don't want one so the space taken by these is annoying. I prefered my old freezer's little shelf where the ice maker would have been was perfect for the couple of ice trays I wanted. I like the new shape, shallower and wider, now that I'm used to it. We really wanted a white, magnetic front and that limited choices -- not a bad thing.

Now that I have had this for 2 months, I can give an honest review. I like the counter depth; it makes it easy to see what is at the back of the refrigerator. I would prefer more freezer space and less refrigerator space. The ice cube container frequently spills ice cubes when you take them out. The freezer drawer doesn't always close tightly. This results in warm temperatures and frost in the freezer. The freezer drawer needs a self closing feature. The folding shelf is useless. The instructions are sparse. I have moisture on the outside of the refrigerator doors. Is this expected? Other refrigerators I have had addressed this issue, The warning beep for an open door is not loud enough.

Replaced a 27 year old Kenmore from 1998. What a difference. Although the Kenmore was top of line and still working well, this new addition is superior in too many ways to list. The insulation and operation is far superior, as well as the layout and functionality. We opted for the internal water and ice bin instead of front panel dispensers and prefer the ice bin. The on/off switch for the ice maker is very cool, pun intended. Excellent choice.

Drawer Issues

The middle cheese/lunchmeat drawer is wonky and opens crooked. It seems to be not well-constructed. I had a repairman come and he said this is not a thing he can remedy. I guess it’s just poor design?? Also, the freezer drawer is not 100% Stable when you open it. I pull from one side and it goes crooked when it opens but doesn’t do that when you pull it open from the other side. Seems also very poorly designed. Kitchenaid used to be of higher quality than this. A little disappointed with the new standard. Supposedly, the repairman said they get so many calls on new purchases for these two issues.

I would have liked to give it a better rating but the vegetable bins, cold cut drawer are so flimsy as compared to the same model I have (now in the garage) and do not fit in the tracks so the drawers move from side to side. It is not the quality I have on the previous refrigerator or comparable to the quality I have for the Microwave/Oven combo or the dishwasher. Durability/quality is not something I would associate with KitchenAid. It's a shame - used to be good quality which is what I expected when I bought the same refrigerator (same configuration).

We have had the refrigerator for a week. It replaced a 12 year-old Electrolux fridge. The interior is not as sturdy as the Electrolux and we wonder how long the produce and pantry drawers will last. The stainless steel door had a slight wave in it. Overall, the quality is lower than Electrolux. We just hope it lasts at least 12 years.

I bought this 6 weeks ago and needed to have service as it at times was making a fairly loud vibration noise. Service person couldn't really determine the cause, but he did open area in the back found nothing so closed things up. Since then, I haven't heard the vibration noise?? Also, the interior drawers are less substantial as my previous frig. I miss the narrow shelf in the freezer.

Inefficient interior design

The control panel and box, combined with the water filter canister along the ceiling have a very real negative effect on the storage space available for the top shelves. Redesign needed to make the box skinnier and putting the water filter along the back or other far edge. Also, the plastic crisper drawers are loose on their guides. Our previous model very similar to this, also Kitchenaid, did not have this obvious sign of cheapness.

Just a little miffed, after 11 wks icemaker quit

I was told this new stainless steel finsh would not show fingerprints and that is not true!! It shows every single print and I am constantly using a micro fiber towel with some warm water and a small amount of dish soap to wipe it clean. I am looking in to returning it for the white finish. It also showed the water dispenser as pressing the cup against the pad but it is a two handed water dispenser. It also showed a third flat shelf in the freezer but it’s not there. These features were all shown online but not true of what was delivered to my home. I am very disappointed in the esthetics though the refrigerator itself runs just fine.

I bought this fridge a few months ago and already have someone coming to repair it…it does have nice esthetics but i fear this issue likely wont be the first. For now, disappointing and inconvenient. A 3rd party repair company came out to “look at it” and they said, it could be this..it could be that. We will order a new sensor and go from there. Very disappointing that we didnt get a better 3P service to look at it. Still waiting for the “part”. Who knows when it will work correctly…

Feels cramped, both the refrigerator and the freez

I am not in love with this refrigerator. I have had it for almost a month. What I don't like is: having to open both doors when I want something on just 1 side, the doors don't close easily so I am constantly checking/pushing the handles in to make sure they both are completely closed, and the shelf configuration is odd. There's plenty of small spaces but I prefer several large spaces. I made a 9x13" pan of salad and had to find a new place for everything to be able to fit it in. The freezer below seems very limited for storage space and I don't like it. Giving this 3 stars seems overly generous now that I have written the review.

We just moved to our home and the refrigerator was bought by toll brothers. I personally do not like the counter depth , as it has less storage space. The streamline appearance is not important for me. I like the water dispenser feature being inside, but having to use both hands is not easy , especially with arthritic hands and fingers. The button requires dexterity. I have an LG in another place and it is so easy to dispense water, just putting the glass against a lever. It is also inside the fridge. The freezer door could have a tilt to it. I would not have selected this fridge. I was not given a choice so will have to deal with it. being inside, but don't like that you have to press the button to dispense the water. I have an LG with the similar feature but better design

Ice maker in bottom freezer takes up about 1/4 of capacity so needed to buy a freezer for garage. I’m one person and last fridge with similar overall capacity and design worked just fine…BUT ice maker and water were convenient located in door so didn’t consume f freezer space. Layout within fridge is ok, not exceptional.

The inside water dispenser drips after use, not a lot but shouldn't happen. The center drawer is flimsy and is annoying to open, both doors have to all the way open. Very spacious inside.

Disappointed in the quality of this refrigerator. After 7 years had to replace with the same fridge due to difficulty finding size. The new model is very cheaply made. The drawers are very flimsy. There are small details that have been overlooked compared to older models. There are screws that show on the side of the shelves (see pics of old and new) and also the door hinges on the bottom of doors are stainless steel whereas the old ones were black and looked a lot cleaner (see pics). Unfortunately, quality has downhill! Will not purchase again.

Wanted to love it but I can’t. 1. So noisy when it makes ice. Annoying but the least of my complaints. 2. The rubber on the doors started splitting after a month and now the magnetic strip keeps falling out. 3. The bottom of the freezer is constantly covered in ice and frost keeping the drawers from being pulled out or shut. 4. Produce drawers are flimsy and we are constantly closing them about the temp control and then they get stuck. So disappointed to spend that much money for poor quality.

Very noisy. Had issues freezing over too. Seal was broken. We live on a lake and today at 5am I heard a motorboat. When I got downstairs I realized its the refrigerator. The noise is bonkers. Repair out 2x already. I wanted to love kitchenaid, the aesthetic is great but the noise is beyond belief. I never had a noisy refrigerator before. The repair will be back in August because of our work schedules. The refrigerator is only 4 months old.

Door doesn't close, icemaker arm won't stay up

We purchased the refridgerator in 2018 and loved it. We moved, and purchased same refridgerator in our new home in 2025. What a disappointment. Quality is poor. The crisper drawers all wiggle in their tracks, especially the large drawer. Doors don't close properly, when you close one door, the other pops open and stays ajar. It just seems the doors are more light/flimsy and don't have the weight to close on their own, as a result we find the door slightly open. Ice maker arm won't stay up, hence it never shuts off, overflowing the tub. When you pull out the top portion of the freezer, the arm of the ice maker drags cubes out and they fall on the bottom of the freezer or roll onto floor. We often find ice cubes melting on our floor. I have seen these same complaints in multiple reviews. Quality has gone way down post covid. This refridgerator is a huge disappointment and requires constant monitoring to ensure door is shut

Run from this refrigerator

This refer was purchased to replace a 20 cu. ft. Kitchenaid that was nine years old. The old refer worked fine but wanted to replace because I wanted newer appliances for when I sell the home. This is a terrible replacement. The refer and freezer hold less than the previous model. The shelves are not as deep as the previous model. The water dispenser is too high up inside (higher than the previous model). The doors do not match - they are different sizes - and one swings open and the other swings close which means you can't have both open if you are trying to get a large tray or pan in the refer. The doors hold less than the previous refer. The handles are not round - they have bulges in the back that you can feel every time you open a door. Have had since 6/17/26 and I am already looking to junk it and start all over. Extremely disappointed - worse appliance purchase in ten years.

Regret buying

Historically Kitchenaid has been a good brand, but they have gone down hill. I wish I never would have bought this fridge. The case or "box" of the fridge and the door do not line up. The doors are not even with each other. When you have the main part of the fridge level and plumb, the doors are crooked and cannot be aligned. 3 different repair techs couldn't do it. When we went to look at the replacement, it was also not aligned. Why would anyone want a fridge where the doors aren't even with each other? Save yourself a headache and buy another fridge.

Having several KitchenAid small appliances, I didn’t hesitate to consider buying a KitchenAid refrigerator. I knew the quality was there.. my previous refrigerator (Kenmore) lasted 20 years and was wonderful until we had issues with the ice maker leaking. This fridge is so noisy that I thought possibly the motor was going out and maybe I bought a defective one. The ice maker is very noisy also. The interior is much smaller than I expected…. There is limited shelf arrangement and like most refrigerators now there is no butter bin. The foldaway shelf is not practical, it just takes away the use of the shelf below it. The long pantry drawer does not seem very sturdy when you pull it open , it wants to wiggle back and forth. The refrigerator looks very nice and I like the textured handles. I’m sure I’ll get used to the noises eventually, and have to deal with the lack of space in fridge and little freezer.

Not what I expected

We spent more money thinking the drawers and shelves would be nicer than the current standard. We were wrong. After just four months the “stainless” is rusting. We have all stainless in our kitchen so this is not a moisture issue. The drawers have no guides and just flop around when opening and closing. The shelves can’t be changed because of a horizontal bar in the middle of the unit.

Temperatures for inside and freezer are consistent, noisier that same 20 year old KitchenAid model we replaced. Do not like fixed divider in the freezer which prevents us from freezing larger items.

Not worth the money

We have actually returned this refrigerator. Although it looks great from the outside, once you open the doors, it all went downhill. The drawers are cheaply made, and don’t fit very well. The refrigerator doors themselves feel flimsy. The freezer drawers are cheaply made and the icemaker is extremely loud.

Not the quality of my last Kitchen Aid refrigerator. Open the door and the whole refrigerator slides forward -needs brakes or adjustable legs to hold it in place. Freezer drawer is flimsy/cheap and when ice drops it sounds like thunder & can be heard rooms away, (like there is no insulation).

I want to love this as I love the dishwasher and stove. The freezer drawer doesn’t shut all the way so you have to pay close attention to make sure it closes. The ice maker leaks water causing a solid block to form - in the ice tray and drips down the back corner and under the drawer. I would not buy this model again.

We purchased this model for our new home and unfortunately are very disappointed. We had purchased the same model 13 years ago but it there is no comparison between the two. The components inside are very flimsy. The drawers inside are very sloppy when closing. The freezer drawer is a hard close rather than a smooth glide. All in all, it feels very cheap.

Leaking since Day 1 but has no water hook-up!

I bought my fridge just over 2 weeks ago and it has been leaking almost every day since then. I have NO water line connected to it because I did not want any future leaking problems or issues with the icemaker … but apparently mine wants to leak anyway. I called the place where I bought it and was told to call KitchenAid. After calling on 2 separate days and being on hold for 45 minutes before hanging up, I finally reached someone on the third day. I would have expected the phone line for those who had purchased a new major appliance within the previous 30 days would have had better staffing! Then I was told it would be 11 days before someone could come to check out my brand new refrigerator. Oh … I forgot to mention … my leaking fridge is on a brand new floor and the reason I bought it was due to the previous fridge leaking and I did not want it ruining my new floor. This new fridge was installed the day the floor was installed. Happy? Not at all! I do love that it is counter depth but the freezer compartment is teensy.

Horrible Refrigerator

This is absolutely the worst designed refrigerator ever manufactured. This unit was supplied by our builder as part of an upgrade kitchen appliance package. The water dispenser is INSIDE the fridge door. There is no ice dispenser on the door; you have to open the freezer compartment and hand fill you glass with ice. This is virtually impossible to do as ice spills out onto the floor. It’s also countertop depth, which means it’s not deep enough to hold a decent sized baking sheet or lasagna dish. We looked at trying to trade this in, but we’re stuck with it until it breaks down. It’s not even good enough to be a garage fridge.

I bought this to replace my 15 year old version—which I loved. The new one is inferior in every way. The motor, ice machine, water pump are all noisier. The shelves and drawers are poorly designed—and no covered shelf for butter, or eggs. The drawers seem to be designed to catch any crumbs or spills in their visible, clear space at their front. It is also at least a 1/2 “ deeper than the older model—not truly counter depth. It has intermittent periods of frost on freezer items and moisture build up in the refrigerator—which I have never had before.

Not so great...

Meh. Not impressed. We wanted a refrigerator without any services through the door, just a smaller, simple fridge with no extra bells & whistles. From the outside this fridge looks robust, however, once inside the unit we found it to be much less than expected from Kitchenaid. ALL of the drawers are of a cheaper, lightweight plastic, & do not track well, with the freezer drawer being the worst. If you pull the handle to open the freezer too far to the left, it racks off track & you have to force the drawer back in, hearing the two gears grinding. It has already been serviced for this issue, which did not remedy it at all.
