Amazing water filter

This is a really good water filter with good flow thank you influenster for sending this to me. The only issue that I had was it was a little bit difficult to put in maybe if they made that process a little bit easier it would be perfect. The water taste amazing it is so fresh and clean you can tell the difference between the filtered water and unfiltered water.

Clean water, easier ice, works well but a bit pric

I’ve been using the EveryDrop 1 refrigerator filter and noticed a clear improvement in both the taste and smell of the water. The water tastes cleaner and doesn’t have that metallic or “fridge” flavor anymore, and the ice looks clearer as well. Installation was quick and it clicked into place without leaks. The box says it reduces over 70 contaminants including microplastics and heavy metals, and that’s honestly what sold me on it. My only complaint is the price and that it needs to be replaced every six months, but it does what it claims and performs well.

We have an older Maytag refrigerator and this is the filter we always come back to. We’ve tried the knock-offs and honestly they’re just not as good and don’t last as long. The filter is super easy to install (just pop it in) and you’re good to go. Even with an older refrigerator, it alerts us when the filter needs to be changed, but we’ve gotten much more life out of these than what is suggested. Water and ice always come out crisp and clean tasting.

What I like about my refrigerator is that it measures the usage in ounces of water and gives us a heads up regarding when to place an order and when to install the filter. So far so good. The water certainly tastes better I really appreciate that.

This has got to be one of the best I’ve ever had easy to use and install . Maintenance is a cake walk when it comes to fixing or replacing it. The noise level of me dispenser is not nearly as loud as it used to be after installing it and glow and pressure of the water when it comes out is just the right amount.

I got this item for free to try from influenster. It was so easy to install! All I had to do was open the door below the fridge and the old one popped right out. The new one I had to just remove the little purple caps and push it into place. Then I closed the door. Thank you for the replacement! It did make a little noise after putting it in. Sounded like air so it was just locking into place.

I’ve tried the cheaper 'knock-off' filters before, but I always come back to the EveryDrop Filter 1. What sets this apart for me is the NSF certification—it’s certified to reduce 28 different contaminants, including lead and pesticides, which many generic brands don't cover. The water tastes crisp, there’s no chemical aftertaste, and I don't have to worry about it leaking or damaging my fridge. It’s a bit pricier than the off-brands, but for clean drinking water, it’s worth the investment.

Great replacement filter!

This filter was very easy to use as a replacement in my Whirlpool. I really appreciated the sticker on the bottom of the product, which provides clarity on which direction the filter bottle should be installed. I’d feel confident giving this as a chore to my kids because it makes it very hard to mess up the installation of the filter. You can even follow the every drop filter installation video on youtube, which shows you how to properly flush the filters as well. Very happy with the ease of use and quality.

I recieved this product in exchange for an honest review. This water filter was compatible with my Kitchenaid refrigerator. It installed easily and the water tastes great (to be fair, our tap water is very high quality to begin with). The water flows quickly and ice looks great. I personally wouldnt risk it with any non-official filters with my major appliances. Worth the cost to have crisp clean water.

I am very pleased with these everydrop filters. They are light in weight and are easy to pop in and out of position in my whirlpool refrigerator. My water comes out fast, clear and great tasting. The filters usually last us a few months and we drink a lot of water. Very nice and light!

Always good to have a spare

We’ve used this filter for years and it’s worked great for us. We just got a new fridge for the second kitchen in the house. It’s a Whirlpool fridge, which is one of the brands compatible with the filter. The installation is super easy. Our fridge has a place that says Water Filter and you simply pull out the old and stick in the new. Always wipe down the inside before putting in the new one (that’s what I do) and it clicks in place. No issues with noise and we haven’t had problems with leaks yet.

Great fridge filter for tap water

This is the only filter I’ve used in my fridge since I got my new fridge. It works great (at least I think so). The water doesn’t taste like chlorine like some tap water that is unfiltered. These filters state the clear out metals, minerals, chlorine, pesticides, parasites, pharmaceuticals and microplastic. I’d rather purchase these than plastic water bottles.

This water filter fit my whirlpool refrigerator perfectly. It was easy to install. Upon installing there was built-up pressure in the line, but quickly resolved you do have to purge the line until you get crystal clear water. The water tastes good.

So far so good it was easy to install and the instructions simple to "reset" the water for the fridge and cleared all the bads in the water. It tastes smooth, clean and easyb to drink. It fit perfectly on my whirlpool fridge compatible. Right now can't say how long it will last but hope it lasts long. NSF certified to reduce 28 contaminants including lead, pesticides and pharmaceutical. Replace Water Filter every 6 months. Replaces 1500 Plastic Water Bottles. On the picture the water from yellow cup is when I was flushing own the initial water.

Handy to keep a couple extra

These filters are pricey, but necessary for our house. We are on well water with a filtration system and a water softener, but you can still tell the difference in our fridge dispenser when the filter needs changed. luckily these every drop filters are super simple to use. There is a door in my base grill under the freezer side, and you literally just open the door pull the handle on the old filter and pop this one in. You shut the door and off you go. these filters need changed every 6 months, and my fridge does not tell me or give me any sort of indication. It's time for the filter to be changed. So I do it on a specific date to help myself. These are great quality filters, and pretty easy to find. They last a really long time, and they're very, very simple to use.

This is a total must have if you have a Whirlpool or KitchenAid refrigerator. Took me less than a minute to change it out, just make sure the arrow is pointed correctly. Also, remember to run some water through it first to get the air bubbles out, I usually run about 4 gallons out. Tastes great and works like a charm, definitely love it!

After putting the water filter on I just had to fill up about 2 gallons of water before it was good to drink. , to let out the partials out. It works pretty good on my fridge.

Worth the extra money

I received the filter and really liked the easiness of replacing the previous filter. I simply had to open the door, remove the old filter, place the new filter in the same spot, and close the door. It was really that easy! I followed the directions exactly and ran water through the filter prior to drinking. The water comes out clear and tastes great. This filter is a little more expensive than the other ones you can find but the quality of water is worth the extra expense. I like that there is a safety seal so you know the filter is brand new and hasn’t been used. The cheaper filters I purchased did not have the safety seal and felt much heavier than this one. I will continue to use the everydrop filter from now on. You’ll enjoy drinking water again once you try this filter. It even makes your ice taste better, I no longer have to use my countertop ice machine.

I've been buying the Everydrop EDR1RXD1 filters regularly for a while now. We live in a rural area w/ high mineral content in the water. The filters used to do a fantastic job filtering out all the junk. However, something has changed. This most recent one no longer filters the minerals. We set it up like normal, as we always do. But, as you can see from the photo, it's doing a terrible job filtering out the junk/debris. A note about the water in this photo: the filter through which the water passed is not old. I took the water directly from the water dispenser on our Whirlpool fridge w/ the EDR1RXD1. This did not happen w/ previous filters. Whirlpool, did you change the quality of the EDR1RXD1 filters? Worthless!

I have always used direct from Whirlpool filters for my Refrigerator (WRF560SEHZ02). I recently replaced the filter and 3 days later the water stops dispensing. Went to Lowe’s, as that was my last Whirlpool filters, to purchase a filter to see if it was a faulty filter and the same thing occurred. Every 3 to 4 days switch out between these 2 filters and the water will flow for a few days. Frustrated as I would like to talk to a human and find out the likely chances that both filters are faulty. Unable to get a human for troubleshooting without scheduling a potential costly and unnecessary service appointment.

Whirlpool appears to be unloading their flawed dud filters on this site. Brand new out of the package and the filter is clogged low water pressure. Bought from a more reputable vendor and problem is now solved. Don’t buy filters here.

Filters clogging up.

I purchased two water filters in June 2025 when the first one clogged up and started making my water dispenser sound like a machine gun. I put the second one in and problem was corrected for approximately three months. Then I called the company and on January 12, they sent me a free water filter to replace the one water filter that was still within the 90 day warranty. I put that water filter in on January 17, 2026 and as of today January 28, 2026 the new water filter is clogged and the water stream slowed the machine gun sound returned. The service Man said that it is a bad water filter and every drop will not honor the filter they sent me. I am going to try a generic filter now because my warranty is expired. I think every drop is a very expensive brand that is making a lot of money off people and I’ve heard that the Kenmore water filter is cheaper and Is just as effective . I’m gonna give it a try. Every drop filters are defective if you get three and around like I did, you’ll see.

Defective replacement water filters

I have been purchasing 2 packs of this filter since I bought a whirlpool refrigerator in March of 2021 and both of the last 2 filters will not operate when installed. No water will come out of the dispenser! When I remove the filter, unfiltered water does come out and when I re-install the old filter, water does come out. I have attempted to re-install both of these two new filters multiple times with no success.

It don’t fit

It didn’t fit my fridge. So I can’t give a review. The description was confusing, and I ended up with a filter that wasn’t compatible with my model. It’s frustrating because I now have to return it and find a new one. Make sure you check your exact fridge model before ordering this one wasn’t right for mine.

It’s damaging the water system

I have been using this filter for a while but the last one that I received is not working properly and since we installed we are having problems with the water dispenser and ice maker. We are out of ice and since yesterday we have not water either. My husband has been taking the filter out and put it back to be able to get water but since yesterday that is not working either. We think that this filter has already damaged the motor too.

Lack of Safety Seal

Terrible manufacturing

The last time we had to redo our filter in our fridge, it took us four filters to redo it. And now we have to do it again and so far we have gone through two and no luck. The filters seem to be not filtering. As if there’s a manufacturing problem. It is not the fridge or the hose hook up. It is the filter.

The water does not flow properly it goes from a good flowing stream to trickling out. Takes forever to fill up a water bottle the ice cubes are also paper thin due to the lack of water flow from the filter.

Defective filters

We have a subscription with every drop and have received these filters for a long time, but the last two filters don't work. They don't engage in the fridge and water doesn't dispense. If we tape a little rubber piece at the bottom of the filter and then when we close the filter door it engages, but now, even that doesn't work. When we place back an old filters, it works fine, so it's obvious the manufacturing is defective on the last two filters we received. Who do we contact for a claim? These are super expensive and it's very frustrating now that I have to buy filtered water now. I hope someone reads this, because I do not want to pay for a repairman to come here when it is clear both new filters are not working and are defective.

We used to buy these and they used to completely filter out the chlorine. Lately I've been tasting chlorine in my water and I took my pool test kit to only find out that there is almost just as much chlorine as the regular tap water I was disgusted I will never buy this again we are going to find some other way to filter out our water

Can't get filter to work

No matter what I do, I cannot get this filter to work in my Whirlpool fridge, even though it's the same filter as the one I'm replacing. After struggling with it for 3 days, I went online to find help only to find multiple complaints about the very same issue from others, with no resolution. Can't return it, so it'll go in the trash. Beware- such a waste!

Poor Quality Control

We've used Whirlpool refrigerators for years. Bought a new one in 2024, which uses an Everydrop #1. The ED #3 was pricy but always worked well. The #1 has obvious quality control problems. Filter that came with the fridge tasted bad immediately. The 2nd filter lasted 6 months. The 3rd filter went bad after 2 months. I am very unhappy with this product. It costs too much and doesn't work right.

Expensive, name brand filters don't fit

I am very upset that these expensive filters last for only 2 months. To top it off, I have 2 filters that flat won't fit in the Whirlpool filter housing. Every time I put it in, there is a terrible racket and the water won't flow. The water flows beautifully without the filter. I had bought a pack of 3 filters on sale, because they go bad so quickly. Now I'm out the money for the remaining two. I absolutely do not recommend that you buy a refrigerator with this filtration system. It is a complete scam to get your money.

Pain in the rear to remove. Pain in the rear to get in. Model # from inside the refrig was WRONG. Filter search didn't work until I dropped the last 2-digits (had to figure out on my own). Filter change EVERY 6-months is a money grab. I live-in a 1-person home with a full-home water-filter system. Filter change should be based on water usage not calendar. It's like printer ink. It's not the unit, it's the repeat over priced re-supply. This is my second filter order. The first order was for the wrong model number. This is my opinion.

I also have water filter subscription which i will be cancelling very soon. I would not recommend the filters

I have had the Kitchenaid refrigerator for 4 years. The water filters never last more than 2 months, but are advertised to last 6 months. Its even in the Refrigerator manual that they last 6 months.. I had the repairman here twice and both times said they never last more than 2 months. Its a structural flaw in the design.

I have been buying these filters for my refrigerator for several years now. I just assumed it worked. After having surgery and drinking bottled water for a few weeks, I noticed stomach upset when I returned to the fridge filtered water. My mom also said the frig water tasted really bad. I decided to test the water. I tested the bottled water, tap water and the filtered frig water. The tap water and filtered frig water are exactly the same!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I’ve been wasting so much money on worthless water filters.

These filters do not last but just a couple of months before the water pressure begins to trickle. The trickle is little enough that it makes hollow ice cubs and they are so light the ice maker won't dump them out, sobthey stick & cause an ice jam in the ice maker . We have gone through 3 in less than a year now. For the price, these filter should last longer than 3 months time. Corporate America don't care about the little guys who are lining their pockets. I do not recommend this product.

Bad replacement filters

I have now bought 2 of these filters because after replacing the old with the new, all I get is just a trickle of water. If I put the old back in ,I have a normal flow. I am so disappointed that this is happening. We use our filtered water from the fridge daily and now we can't. You need to fix this issue.

If I could give this filter negative stats it would be -100!! I’ve now purchased two filters from two different retailers and after a couple of weeks they have both slowed to a mere trickle. In seeing all of these negative reviews, I want to know what Whirlpool is doing to resolve the issue. It would seem that you have monopolized the market on these filters and consumers have no where to turn. Even aftermarket filters have the same issues. What is Whirlpool going to do to fix the problem??

Be wary of their shipping. Placed an order and it said it would arrive in 2 days. It’s been almost a week and the filter hasn’t anrrived. We called to inquire the status of the filter. The representative rudely told us shipping is 7-10 business days not whatever is stated at checked. Website states in the shipping section that orders are shipped within 48 hours of completing order.

Poor filter

I have the same problem as a lot of people with this filter. Water just trickles out of the filter and this has happened several times. I talked to customer service and she told me my filter housing must need serviced, yet so many other people are having the same issue. They need to read the reviews and come up with another excuse why these filters are no good. You would think a sixty dollar filter would work but I guess they are not really concerned about it. When I called customer service they had every excuse but what the real problem is and they don’t seem to care!

ONLY GOOD FOR 1 MONTH

I ordered one everydrop® Refrigerator Water Filter 1 from this site and started using it on 9/27/23. A little over a month later, it already has slowed to a trickle. There are only two of us in the household using it, so it definitely wasn't due to overuse. This same thing has happened with the last 3 everydrop filters I have purchased. Looks like there has been a large defective batch which your company has been knowingly selling anyway.
