Freezer Freedom from Frost

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The freezer fits perfectly in our garage closest to the our home entry. We love the ease of access and being able to clearly see the foods inside the unit when opening the door. The shelves were very easy to rearranged to our preference. We replaced a 40 year old GE Freezer which was not frost free. This new Frigidaire will save us significant energy costs. We love our new Freezer

Our new Frigidare 2 p cu. Ft freezer is one of the best units we have ever owned. The storeage space is perfect with lots of room that meets our needs. The gray finish really stands out and matches our storeage cabinets.

Spacious, Quiet, and Perfect for Garage Storage!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely love this 20 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Upright Freezer! It has tons of space, keeps everything perfectly frozen, and the upright design makes it super easy to organize and find items quickly. Runs quietly and works great even in the garage. Definitely a great purchase for extra food storage!

Deleslim · May 20, 2026

Highly recommend the 20 Cu. Ft. Upright Garage Ready Frigidaire Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We are very happy with our new Frigidaire freezer. We purchased it because it has features that we did not have on our previous (other brand) freezer which quit running & we lost all our frozen food. The Frigidaire has a temperature monitor on the outside of the door which shows the unit is working correctly & also shows if the temperature rises. An alarm also sounds if the temperature rises &/or the door is not properly closed. These features would have saved us hundreds of dollars in lost food if we had these features on our previous freezer. We are looking forward to many years of worry free use with our Frigidaire freezer.

Love my new refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This stainless steel, fingerprint resistant is wonderful. The bottom lunchmeat tray is nice to be able to see what’s in the drawer. The produce drawer is nice and big. Plus there is a temperature control. It comes with a filter that is better than baking soda. The shelves on the door are large enough to set a gallon of milk on, plus keeps it cold, no need to worry about the milk spoiling. There is plenty of room in the bottom freezer with a pull out top section which is where the ice disperses. The best part is the water is filtered and cold. Love this refrigerator

No more Chest Freezers For Us Ever Again!!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

When we purchased our home years ago, we were gifted with a chest freezers from an older realtive. We were grateful not having to purchase another appliance while establishing our home. Just recently the top needed a serious repair, we decided to go for an upright freezer. We chose Frigidaire for a variety of reasons. Good reviews, longevity, cost saving technology, unit price for size, ease of order, just to name a few. I'm so thrilled being able to walk into the garage and immediately locating an item. No more frozen fingers searching through frost for an item that slipped to the bottom into the abyss.

Excellent Choice in Upright Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This model freezer from Frigidaire is tops both in appearance and functionality. Its sleek, matte finish is unimposing and blends in with a designed kitchen space or the garage. The inside is spacious with lots of shelf room and a large basket drawer. This freezer is extremely quiet and it is super energy efficient. Whether you plan to use this freezer regularly or for storage for emergency food, this is the right choice for your freezer needs.

Frigidaire 20 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Upright Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am absolutely in love with our new Garage Upright Freezer! We were having trouble fitting all of our frozen foods in our regular refrigerator so we decided to purchase the 20 Cu. Ft. Freezer and for a family of four it’s the perfect size to hold all of our meats, veggies, snacks and so much more! I love that it is frost free, so that helps with the ice build up inside the freezer and the shelves are perfectly placed so you can spread out your food and even enough space for large bags of ice as well. Frigidaire is a brand that we love as a family and will always have in our home!

New Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Had to finally replace my mom’s 1999 upright freezer. I got tired of chipping ice off the bottom every 3 months! Our local Spencer’s had a sale and this was the perfect fit! It’s a bit bigger (20 cu ft vs 15) and a bit taller but I still buy in bulk when prices are good for the 2 of us as well as I can quite a bit. I love I can now see my packages of frozen veggies and I have a shelf for everything (beef, chicken, pork, fish). I also love I can set the freezer temp without having to open the door. Overall, a good buy for us!

Great Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Really happy with freezer and the upgrades like having a handle, the self closing door, and door open alarm and great. I also like the convenience of the controls on the outside door which makes everything easy to monitor at a glance or adjust temp settings with out removing all your items to get to the control knob like others. The size and appearance are wonderful for our large family.

Love my 20 cu Frigidaire freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am so happy I made the decision to purchase this freezer. I love how much room I have and especially door shelves. I didn't have door shelves in my old one. I made the decision on this freezer because it is energy star certified, frostless, garage ready, 20 cu ft and was a great price. It also has an alarm to let you know if power issue. Thankful I purchased this.

Very nice garage freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

It is a very nice garage freezer, spacious, and well designed. The only thing I would change would be the alarm having children in the house sometimes they don’t shut the freezer properly and being in a garage freezer. The alarm should be louder or have it somehow connect to your phone to notify you that the freezer is open

Frigidaire 20 cu. Ft. Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

My new freezer has been great so far. It is in my garage and I was so happy to find one that was “Garage Ready” when I needed to replace my old one. The black stainless model is beautiful. It has wide glass shelves and plenty of store room in the door too. The only thing I would improve is the bottom basket. It is a small wire that feels flimsy compared the th e overall quality of the unit itself.

A very nice freezer at a great price. No issues with it and keeps my good frozen. The only thing I would change is to make the for alarm louder for when the kids leave it open! Review of Frigidaire Upright Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This freezer has worked well in the relatively short time we have owned and used it. It keeps frozen items reliably frozen, and has very large capacity to store many containers and bagged foods. It fits in with the décor of our kitchen and operates quietly and efficiently. We have not found our electric bill to suffer with the use of the freezer; it seems energy efficient. We ordered an extra shelf for the freezer, to make the interior of the freezer more usable. All in all, we love this freezer and the capacity it offers us for longer-term food storage.

5-Star Review: Frigidaire 20 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer – A Game-Changer for My Kitchen!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I can't say enough good things about the Frigidaire 20 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer – it's absolutely phenomenal! As someone who loves meal prepping and stocking up on bulk buys, I was desperately in need of more freezer space, and this beast delivered beyond my wildest expectations. With its massive 20 cubic feet of storage, I can easily fit everything from frozen veggies and meats to ice cream tubs and even oversized pizza boxes without any hassle. The flexible interior organization system is a dream – adjustable shelves and door bins let me customize it perfectly for my needs, keeping everything neatly organized and easy to access. What really blows me away is the EvenTemp Cooling System; it maintains a rock-solid consistent temperature throughout, even in my garage where temps swing wildly from hot summers to chilly winters. And speaking of garage-ready, this freezer is built tough – it's ENERGY STAR certified, so it's super efficient on my electric bill, and the frost-free defrost means I never have to deal with that annoying ice buildup or manual defrosting ever again. The power outage assurance can be a lifesaver too; it can keep my food frozen for up to 48 hours during a power outage, saving me thousands on meat! I also love the thoughtful features like the door ajar and high-temp alarms, which give me peace of mind, and the auto-close doors that seal tightly to lock in the cold air. It's incredibly quiet – I barely notice it's running – and the sleek design fits seamlessly into my space without looking bulky. Setup was a breeze, and it's been running flawlessly for months now with zero issues. If you're in the market for a reliable, spacious, and feature-packed upright freezer, look no further than the Frigidaire 20 Cu. Ft. model. It's worth every penny and has made my life so much easier. Highly recommend – 10/10!

This was a replacement freezer for my garage. It's more than twice the size of my previous freezer. I didn't realize how small my original freezer was until I purchased this one. Now I don't have to limit my options when I need to stock up on goods for upcoming holidays. It's super quiet and fits all the way up against the wall. My old one had the condenser coils exposed on the back.

Beautiful Inside and Out!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This freezer is more than I expected. The outer finish is professional and clean while the interior glass shelves hold plenty of frozen foods...plenty of room for those boxes of crab legs and wide enough for beef tenderloins. Want to stash frozen pizzas? This freezer will accommodate. We are pleased with this purchase.

Good so far

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I've only had the freezer for a week so I'll be brief. Plugged unit in and waited approximately 8 hours for it to reach zero, ( I placed a freezer thermometer inside the box). Moved all contents of old unit into new unit and everything remained frozen without any issues. New unit runs quietly and has enough room for our needs. Two things I would change: 1. Make the door shelves adjustable which would allow for one more shelf to be included. 2. Since we only have 4 glass shelves which are all adjustable, there is room for a half basket that could be placed on the lower shelf bracket just above the large basket on the floor. This could be used to store any very light items such as bread or rolls. Otherwise, this unit is very nice.

Completely satisfied

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

My last freezer was a GE model, also a garage ready upright... It lasted 1 year!!! I discovered it was malfunctioning and was about to lose approx $12-$1500 of food... I immediately started the search for a replacement, and after looking at numerous makes and models (None were GE's), settled on this Frigidaire... My decision was based on the very useful interior layout, the glass shelves, placement of the interior light, and overall apparent durability of a well built unit... After getting it home, and transferring all of the old freezer's contents, I was happy to see how quickly it achieved a recommended temperature, saving all of the food I had feared lost... The biggest lesson here for me, was the realization/remembrance that I had previously owned a Frigidaire freezer years ago that had served me very well, but had somehow "strayed" to other brands over the years to "save "purchase costs", but come to my senses and returned to a product of durability, reliability, and functionality! We are very happy with our decision to purchase a Frigidaire and look forward to many years of "dependable freezing"...

Wonderful freezers, cheaply made shelves

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Very nice freezer runs beautiful. I just wish the shelves were a lot more stronger. For the size of it you should be able to load it right up, but we noticed the shelves were bowing down. So just keep that in mind if you put a lot of beef or what not in your freezer you gotta really watch not to break it.

Smooth Operator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The unit has worked flawlessly right out of the box. It was surprising light weight before filling it and easily maneuvered in my garage. I placed a temperature sensor from my AcuRite weather station in it and the graph shows a very stable freezing temperature using the recommended control plate on the door. This unit has TALL shoes to follow. My old freezer was a Kelvinator and it gave my 41 years of trouble free service. My only complaint is that the unit is running most of the time. A kWh meter shows that the power usage is just above the 424 kWh annual usage as advertised so shouldn't be a cost issue but only time will tell if the mechanical motor can perform for a very long time.

Well this is exactly what it says, IT'S A Freezer. But, with that said, some of the great aspects of this freezer, is that you have the outside temp on the door.. The freezer seems to be nicely made, the controls work well, the temperature stays steady. It has a very nice finish which is easy to clean and looks nice. I got the black but it is more gray than black, so it doesnt match my black appliances at all. The door latches very tightly and seals well. The only real complaint, the shelves arent very well designed. They are quite slick and im having trouble stacking stuff. More shelves and a few dividers to hold smaller items would be super helpful. The door layout works well. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Bought after my LG freezer died. I was recommended to buy a Frigidaire instead. So far I love it. Quiet, sleek, low profile. I only wish there was an option to lock the door.

Big Enough for a lot of Food!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We replaced a refrigerator/freezer that we had in the garage that was not garage ready. It gets COLD where we live and the old refrigerator couldn't maintain the temperature in the freezer. We lost some frozen meat this past winter. This new freezer is large enough to hold a 1/4 cow and 24 whole chickens at the same time! We love it!

A Solid Freezer!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This freezer is seriously great! It keeps our food nice and frozen without being noisy. The door seals up tight, no air getting in or out. I really like how you can adjust the shelves to fit all sorts of food sizes. Honestly, I’m super happy with it and would definitely recommend this freezer to anyone looking for a solid, reliable one!

Great garage freezer!

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

So far, this freezer is so much better than the larger one we had. Our only complaint is that it could have used another shelf. The glass will bow with too much weight (we found this out the hard way!), thus the 4 stars. Fortunately, we were able to order another shelf, but we are still waiting on delivery so we are hoping it fits like the others. I found wire baskets online that make organizing this freezer a breeze. Time will tell, but over all we are extremely pleased with this freezer! Love the color and it fits perfectly next to our stainless garage refrigerator.

Keeps my food frozen in a hot garage

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The perfect freezer for my garage. Summers get hot in the desert southwest, and so does my garage. My freezer keeps food very cold, and even in my hot garage where temperatures can creep up to 100, the recommended temperature keeps my food at or below 0 degrees with normal on/off cycles of the compressor.

Like the freezer but disappointed

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I really like this freezer. However a problem for us is that there is no lock on the door. Very disappointed about that. It is the way we made sure that the door was closed. I wouldn’t have bought this unit had I known that. Never had a freezer that didn’t have one.

Beautiful Garbage

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

Kept perfect in basement. Purchased Exactly 2 years ago. Full of hand cut vegetables, that was time consuming, and not cheap to purchase, from Amish local market. Also Including my own home raised beef, also not cheap. Supposed to be Frost Free. No warning alerts from Freezer at all. Today my daughter tells me of motor running really noisy, and rough sounding. She calls me from down stairs, and I can hear it running, like an antique tractor. She opens the door, and takes photo for me. Food all covered with very thick ice, and thawed in door vegetables. I have had health issues, and a limited income. Freezer not sounding anything but normal, every other day, before today. No signal warnings at all previous. No extended warranty purchased. Did not think it should be necessary.

LA Star · Mar 12, 2026

Cheap plastic shelves

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

I swear nothing is ever improved. Was forced to buy a new freezer and was truly agitated that what I received has the cheapest plastic bins on the door and minimal plastic shelves that are probably going to crack. On top of that the way the shelves are spaced is just odd. Bottom shelf is 2.5 feet of wasted space. If you want a freezer designed for maximum storage this one is definite not it. Do not recommend.

I highly suggest NOT purchasing this unit!!! We purchased two of them at the same time for two separate locations. Both units failed to work for more than a year. The company will do nothing for you because they are only under warranty for 1 year. I would understand if just 1 unit had an issue, however, if you purchase two and both fail it tells me they are poorly made with no service support on their product. A freezer should be able to last for more than 1 year before it fails to work.

Just got it last week and already it’s not cooling. The initial freeze was good, then downhill from there. Had to put it in the garage, granted it’s been warm out there, but still it’s brand new. Brought it into the kitchen and nothing changed. The temp knob also seems to be shorting out as the light won’t stay on with the turn of the knob. Repair man coming tomorrow, hopefully it gets resolved.
