Just replaced my old fridge after 27 years

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We were sad to see our old fridge go after 27 years. We started doing research to find a replacement and discovered Frigidaire had really good reviews, we ordered and had it installed, we are very happy and now realize our old fridge hadn’t been that good for a long time. The new fridge is bright, cold and makes the best ice. We are happy

Great value and functionality

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am very pleased with my new Frigidaire side by side refrigerator because of its well thought out interior design features and it's outside beauty. I have always purchased Frigidaire appliances because of their reliability and design. My old one lasted 30 years. Highly recommend.

Loving my new fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Had a 16year old Frigidaire Professional refrigerator freezer separate units and had to replace it so chose this particular model and it fit perfect for how we wanted to replace the old one. Works awesome and looks great once we modified the space.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Loving the side x side so we can see everything :) the ice comes out fast and the extended water piece makes it easy to get water without it spitting all over us :). had an amazing discount and very Happy 😊

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Love everything about it for the most part. I wish there were more options for shelf placement. Gasket on freezer door and refrigerator door have a gap where they should be touching the body of the refrigerator, which causes some air leakage. I’ve maker works great!

Nice Side by Side Refrigerator

This is a replacement for our 2009 Gallery refrigerator. We wanted the same look for the rest of our Gallery appliances. Many improvements over the previous model. Quiet operation, led lighting, easy movement of shelves, and concealed operational adjustments.

Excellent & Spacious Fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We love this fridge since we first got it!! We love all the space it has on the inside & the plenty of shelf space. The transparent fridge bins at the bottom & the transparent shelves make it so easy to see everything we have!

Stylish and quiet

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Spacious, very quiet, the ice maker makes small cubes and crushed ice. Easy to reach all departments and deep shelves in the door.

Febul · Jun 1, 2026

Great so far!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I’ve had this fridge for a little more than a month— it works well and is much quieter than my previous LG fridge. The ice maker works well switching back and forth from crushed ice to cubed. Compared to the LG fridge, the fruit and veggie drawers keep the produce fresh for much longer. I hope this fridge continues to work well for years to come.

Tigrisalta · May 30, 2026

Works great so far. User Manual worthless.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Refrigerator works great. Orders of magnitude better than our 6 year old Samsung 3-door. User manual lacking badly. Reads like a marketing document not an owners manual that describes the functions and how to perform user required tasks. Instructions like "use wrench to adjust feet" do little to help the user. First the wrench needs to be a special tool that is very thin and of the correct size (no mention as to the nut size). No mention as to where to buy this tool and what order number to purchase. Other instructions as to the ice maker... "Press reset button to force restart of ice maker". This model has no reset button on the ice maker.

My new Fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I decided to buy a frigidaire fridge because my last one worked perfectly during 12 years without any problem and we decided to upgrade it. I am so happy with the new one, it has excellent capacity for a family of 5. It has adjustable temperature settings with a recomended level for energy efficiency and it is the perfect temperature for my things. It has easy access to change water and air filter. And alarm to let you know you had power outages, so you can check everything is ok, I love this feature. I am so happy with my purchase, totally recommended.

Isabelcci · May 23, 2026

Mamaof07 · Jun 26, 2026

Big hopes for a long future with this fridge

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

It started out with a hiccup. I was delivered one with the water inlet to the filter spraying water and found it just in time to get a hassle-free replacement from the store. It wasn't an idea start, but I had such a long usage from my last Frigidaire fridge that I couldn't see buying a different brand for a new one. So, this one looks very similar to my old one and has the same features. I can't quiet give it a 5 rating because I know that the water filter is going to be expensive to replace compared to the old model. Other than that, I'm happy with the product.

JumpingBlob · Jun 26, 2026

New and improved.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Only had about a week. So far, I am 100 percent satisfied, the new box is only one cu. ft, bigger than my old one, that was not that old. It seems to be a lot bigger, I showed my son and he said it looked like a lot bigger fridge. I like the shape of the ice, and it makes up the used ice quick.I guess you can say I am pleased.

Nice refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

My last few fridges have been French doors but I chose this side by side thinking I would gain more space when opening the freezer. It really doesn't save much space but I still think I like the convenience of a side by side over the large freezer door. I'm the only occupant, so the large freezer door wasn't needed anyway and I saved a little money by going with the side by side. Overall, I like the refrigerator very much.

ShariAnnA16 · Jun 22, 2026

The refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Overall very satisfied with this product. The unit works great have not had any issues thus far. The one thing I could mention is, the doors can be a bit difficult to open after closing due the great vacuum seal it creates from such good door seals. That's not really something to complain about but it does happen.

Love our Frigidaire Brands.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought all Frigidaire appliances 26 years ago and still have our original dishwasher and stove. The Refrigerator was once hit by lightening and blew up the ice maker which my husband replaced (11 years ago) and we just replaced the refrigerator this past week. We have had to replace the microwave twice but no complaints! We will continue to use Frigidaire as our other appliances come to the end of their life cycles. Frigidaire, in our opinion, is the best brand on the market.

Karlac57 · Jun 19, 2026

Glad We Bought

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Purchases refrigerated to replace one that was not working properly. Installation was easy. It took a little longer than for the icemaker to start working. But have not had any issues since then. Inside is a little smaller than unexpected as well. Cools and freezes perfectly. No issues with temperature variations. We would recommend it.

Solid Refrigerator for a New Build Home

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We received this 26 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side refrigerator as part of our Lennar new home package. Overall, it’s a good appliance for the price and does the job well for a family of 4. Pros: Very spacious interior with excellent organization (great for groceries and meal prepping) The water and ice dispenser works smoothly Looks modern and clean in our kitchen Quiet operation most of the time Good energy efficiency for a standard depth model Cons: The ice maker is a bit slow when we have guests Some plastic parts feel a little cheap (typical for builder-grade appliances) Takes a few days to reach optimal temperature after delivery For a new construction home, this refrigerator is more than adequate. It’s reliable, has plenty of space, and fits perfectly in our 36" opening. I would recommend it for anyone buying a new Lennar home in Texas. Would buy again if needed.

Good so far

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The appliance has plenty of room and we like that it is a side by side. It is very noisy especially when the ice maker is working. It gives false flags about the filters but since we know the filters are new we ignore it as they go away after turning on as a false positive. We assume we need to keep track of the filter age and when it is indeed old the warning light will remain on to prove positive. Otherwise it is attractive and spacious for the spot we have for it

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This fridge came in my new home and I've been pleased with it so far. It makes and keeps a good amount of ice, it comes out without issue, the water is good and cold, and everything stays nice and cold. The only weird thing is the freezer can be a bit noisy - a lot of odd cracking and hissing type noises. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't seem to affect the function of anything. Has a good amount of storage, so I'm happy with it so far.

Great Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This is deeper inside than I anticipated. Is very quiet compared to my old Frigidaire side by side. Plenty of shelf options to adjust them. Takes some getting used to it running most of the time. That is actually part of the new cooling flow design. It's supposed to do that. I can't say about the water and ice dispenser as I don't have a waterline connected. That said...TURN OFF THE ICE MAKER IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WATER LINE CONNECTED! Every few hours a VERY LOUD BUZZER SOUND GOES OFF! Once that is done it will not buzz again. The unit stops the fan/compressor every time either door is open. Then restarts when closed. I do wish the exterior was fingerprint proof. Smooth metal allows easy prints and smudges to appear. Easy cleanup though. Inexpensive model. Wish the warranty was more than 1 year. Still, I'm very happy with it.

Love an ice machine that works!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

There's plenty of room and things are being kept cool or frozen as needed. The only improvement I would suggest at this time is to have more options for the placement of the shelves in the refrigerator. We are especially loving the ice maker, both the plentiful supply and the smaller size of cube.

26 Cu. Ft. 36" Side by Side Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Keeps cold without hesitation. Love the ice cubes that the ice dispenser makes. Not a fan of how close together the water and ice are...very difficult to get ice or water without the other spilling onto the floor. Plastic shelving isn't the best quality, be careful not to crack. Doors are not aligned. Refrigerator door is very hard on the hinges.

Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

After figuring out where random noise was coming from the refrigerator all is well. I was worried at first that something was wrong with the refrigerator because of a random grinding 5 second noise coming from the refrigerator. I found that there was a on/off switch for the ice maker and once I turned it off the noise went away. I did not hook up the ice maker and the men that delivered and set up the refrigerator forgot to turn it off before they left.

Frigidaire 26 Cu Ft. - Good Model

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Overall I really like this fridge. When first installed there was a humming sound until the compressor regulated itself. The ice maker is very large, which is greatly appreciated. It does take up a good portion of the freezer space. The only drawback is the shelves on the freezer side are not adjustable and will not hold a standard frozen pizza either vertically or horizontally.

Perfect for Our Space

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We've had this refrigerator for a few years now, and it is still running strong. I appreciate all of the features, such as the lighted water and ice dispenser. It is easy to adjust the temperature and to change the filter. The outside is easy to clean, especially with little kids constantly touching it! The refrigerator is smaller than I would like, but unfortunately that is because we have minimal space in our kitchen. It looks great in our space.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely love my new black Frigidaire refrigerator! It’s sleek, shiny, and looks so much more expensive than it was. The glossy black finish gives my kitchen a modern, polished look, and it’s surprisingly roomy inside. There’s plenty of space for groceries, meal prep containers, drinks, and all the random condiments we somehow accumulate. The shelves are well-designed, making it easy to stay organized, and everything feels sturdy and well-made. It runs quietly, keeps everything nice and cold, and the black finish is a great alternative to standard stainless steel. If you’re looking for a refrigerator that’s stylish, spacious, and practical, this one is a winner. Very happy with my purchase.

I've been extremely happy with my Frigidaire 26 Cu. Ft. 36" Standard-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator. The first thing that stood out to me was how much storage space it offers. very nice, But,

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I have had the new refrigerator for a couple of days now, and I do like that it is a bit roomier than the old one. But I am baffle as to why would any refrigerator manufacturer would think, " let's get rid of the deli draw, it seems useless." In my opinion, and I am sure there are countless of others who would agree that the deli drawer plays a vital part within the refrigerator. The other thing that kind of bothers me is that the readout as far as how cold the temperature is inside the refrigerator as well as in the freezer are written in a dark color against a black background, and for those of us who are a bit older and do not have 20 20 visions, this is annoying. Overall, it is a decent refrigerator, and the price range is acceptable.

Great refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This is probably the nicest refrigerator I have ever purchased. It’s not one of the new “smart” refrigerators, which is fine as I don’t need a refrigerator smarter than me. I like the clean stainless look and the bright LED Lights. As a senior citizen, it really helps to be able to see everything inside.

Nice Frig

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Not a lot of bells and whistles like our previous refrigerator, but many of those features aren't necessarily needed. Also, it's not too big and not too small. One thing I have noticed is items on the top shelf will freeze on the coldest setting.

Exceeded Our Expectations

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We have owned Frigidaire refrigerators in the past, but this is by far the best one we've ever purchased. It meets all of our needs perfectly, offers plenty of storage space, and operates exceptionally well. The refrigerator and freezer maintain temperature consistently, and the overall design is both practical and convenient. We were also very pleased with the delivery and installation process. Everything went smoothly, professionally, and without any issues. Overall, this is an outstanding refrigerator, and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality appliance.

26 Cu. Ft. 36" Standard Depth Side by Side Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The refrigerator is larger, or at least feels larger, than I expected. The design is very simplistic, and the functionality is about what I expected for the price. A couple of things I do not like are that the refrigerator runs quite a bit and is extremely loud. The ice maker also sounds like it is dropping heavy rocks instead of ice cubes. That said, I will say I’ve gotten used to the noise over time. For the price I would purchase again.

Great fridge so far!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought my refrigerator because my old Frigidaire finally died after 23 years! It only seemed logical to get the same brand since my old one lasted so long. It hasn't been but a couple of weeks since I got the new one so we'll see how long it lasts but great so far!

So glad we picked this one

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We replaced our old fridge a couple of months ago with this 26 cu. ft. side-by-side, and it's been such a good decision. The 36" standard depth fit our kitchen perfectly — no awkward sticking out past the counters. There's way more room inside than I expected. We did a big grocery run the first weekend, and I kept waiting for that "where is this going to go?" moment that never came. The door bins hold tall bottles easily, and the adjustable shelves make rearranging simple. I love that the freezer is at eye level instead of a bottom drawer — so much easier on my back. The ice and water dispenser works perfectly, and the kids can reach it on their own. Everything stays cold and consistent, produce lasts longer, and it runs quietly. If you're on the fence, go for it. It's been one of those purchases that quietly makes daily life easier — and that's worth a lot.

We had been shopping for a new fridge for a while. This one was the one I kept going back to. I love the space it has! My daughter LOVES ice in her drinks and these ice cubes are the best. They are smaller pieces so they’re better for drinks vs those long ones that take up your whole cup! The fingerprint resistant finish is one of my favorite things. I hate seeing fingerprints of stainless steel! I’m so glad we went with this fridge! We even asked the delivery guys if they could please leave all the plastic on it because my daughter finds such joy in peeling them off!

Great Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This refrigerator came with my new home. I just insisted on a side by side. This is a terrific refrigerator. Only issue is figuring out how to reset the filter change notification and how to reset the noise after I had a short power outage. Had to look it up, but pushing that button wasn’t working. Tried and tried. Finally it worked. That button is very weak.

Take some time to get use to

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Since my other fridge was 37 years old, it will take time to get use to this fridge. It seems to work well although I noticed the fridge part doesn’t stay as cool as it should even with lower the temperature setting. I do not like that it doesn’t have a snack drawer for lunch meat or cheese like my other one. When getting ice or water, the light does not automatically come on without physically pressing the button. I added some plastic boxes to hold the lunch meat and cheese for easy access. The fridge also runs continuously with a variable speed and seems to be loud compared to my other. The ice maker works well making small square ice but definitely not as powerful as my last one. So far (only had for a week) seems to be working well but time will tell.

Nice exterior appearance but cheaper interior components

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Ordered online from pics to replace 20 year old one that thr freezer died on me. Exterior stainless steel doors look nice but doors extend around 4” taller than top of fridge which obscures any view of things I used to store on top.Interior shelves are thinner glass than my last fridge and the light enclosed fridge plus air circulation vent significantly limit storage space on top shelf. I overlooked that there were only two pull out crispper drawers and on my last fridge I didn’t use the third bottom drawer for more shelf space for heavier items. Which I can no longer do. Also nosier than my previous fridge. Ultimately the space is less useful than last fridge with same cubic spave.

The jury is still out.

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Its been almost 2 mnths since I purchased my new fridge. Overall I think I have a deal compared to my last purchase. It keeps my food fresh and cold. the ice maker works properly and I like the on and off switch. my concerns in the first 2 wks were the noise it seemed like it was running all the time. Once i got use to it them it quieted from a fan running or it powering up. The manual and online info provides the explaination. Twice it has powered all the lights on for a few seconds and once it has frozen food on the fresh foods department which makes me leary regarding its longevity. There was no power surge or outage both times I was simply getting my morning cup of water.

Okay, but temperature consistency problems

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

We have had this refrigerator a bit over a year. This refrigerator is okay, but not the quality of the 20+ year old Frigidaire refrigerator that it replaced. My main complaint is the inconsistent cooling temperature between areas of the refrigerator. At the same time it freezes my produce on the side closest to the freezer, it measures 50.4 degrees on the side furthest from the freezer. The capacity and layout of the shelves are good. I do miss the deli drawer, but that's okay. The size is just right for a family who likes to cook. This refrigerator is louder than our old one, especially the ice maker. The normal humming isn't loud, but there are sounds every once in a while like a tap dancer or the cascading of ice cubes. After one year dealing with this fridge, I think I should have purchased a higher end ( maybe Professional Series) refrigerator.
