  1. Little problem.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The bottom basket was stuck in door. The guys brought it showed me the basket stuck in door. After 4th time it worked fine . Everything else was great. So I kept the freezer. Last freezer used 5 amps. This one uses 3 amps. So one little dent in inside the door is can live with that.

  2. Freezing in Sultry Weather

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am very pleased with my new freezer. It cooled down unbelievably quick in my warm garage. It is freezer #2 due to my harvest this spring. I filled up the first freezer and had to run over to the appliance store and said help I need a big freezer now. The next day it arrived. I started filling it the following day. The food is frozen evenly and quickly. Totally no complaints.

  3. Build up ice

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I Own 7 Frigidaire appliances and I have always had great experiences with them the last one I bought it had 2 small dent in the door and the salesman took some off the price and I took it home, Its in my canning room so I didn't mind. We have had it now little over a month and I notice it was building up ice on the top inside of it and now its getting worse . I'm waiting on a call be to see if it can be looked at we will see how long it takes

  4. Successful Garden Had to add a Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

In stock, received the next day, cooled down super fast. I went straight to work preparing my vegetables. I added baskets for storage. Froze the veges quickly and have room for me to put back more this weekend.

  5. Wasted volume

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

It’s a good machine, quiet, freezes well, dimensions as advertised. However a couple additional shelves would be good. Particularly the space above the bottom basket is unusable, 3+ cu ft.

  6. Excellent freezer!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This freezer is awesome. Most freezers have glass shelves, this one has coated wire rack adjustable shelves. Exactly what I was looking for. One manufacturing flaw I noticed is the wire basket in the bottom is just a bit to large and it catches on the door when opening but it does not effect a tight seal when closed. I suspect some baskets were out of tolerance during production. It's not a big deal for me as I removed the basket because I wouldn't use it. I use cardboard boxes as my organizers for most all of my meat products. Product has an excellent price point and has great value per dollar spent. I was able to empty and get rid of two old 10 cubic feet chest freezers and I still have room to spare in my new freezer. Freezer is perfect for my storage room and all my frozen storage needs. I love the green power on light as all my computer and networking devices in my home are green light themed. I just wish this model was offered in black.

  7. Wrong basket dents door.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Seems to be doing a great job so far (1 month). Knocked off a star for the lower basket for not matching the one shown in the ads, it doesn't fit well and caused a dent in the lower door plastic on the hinge side - it did not crack the plastic, but will be keeping a close eye on it.

  8. It's VERY quiet!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We finally have enough freezer space to store all our frozen goods. The 20 cu ft freezer is BIG but it's very quiet. It has ample door shelves. The freezer design provides plenty of internal adjustable shelves. We are happy with our purchase.

  9. Newer (and BIGGER) is better

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

It was finally time to say goodbye to our 45+ year old Hotpoint freezer. That old friend made the journey with us from New Jersey and 3 moves within Ohio, but finally gave out. We were looking for a garage ready, frost free freezer (that constant defrosting was tedious); we also needed a freezer with a larger capacity since for the last several years we had been buying 1/2 a cow from local farmers. This Frigidaire has nice clean lines in the interior, without annoying bulges or obstructions -- makes for easy loading & stacking. Plenty of light inside, self close door, alarms, and runs quietly. We have made a new friend.

  11. Large capacity…clutter free freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Love the size of this freezer! A lot of bang for your buck’ more shelving so you can spread frozen items out so everything is visible making less wasted food you may “forget about.” Because you can’t see it. Hope this unit works for years to come!

  15. AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We are super happy with our freezer. We like that it is a litter taller and the shelves seem not quite as deep so "stuff" doesn't get burried in the back also it gave us an additional door storage pocket over our last freezer. Only complaint would be that the door seals so well that when you try to open the door it will sometimes want to roll away from the wall.

  18. Just what I needed.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This freezer is very similar to my 8.7 CF upright freezer (FFU11FC2CW0) That I bought in Nov. of 2003 and is still running! In all that time, it's only recently needed a defrost thermostat. The new freezer, reviewed here, has the same style temperature controls and zero electronics (that I can find) which should make it just as reliable as my old one. In addition, the magnetic door seal is quite strong, which means it's less likely to push itself open if you don't get something "quite" far enough into the freezer before closing the door. I'm looking forward to at least the same durability from this one that I've received from my older freezer.

  25. An excellent garage freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

When our ancient freezer died, I didn't even know what a "Garage Freezer" was. I learned that it was a freezer designed to work in a hot garage in the summer. The Frigidaire unit I bought is just excellent. It even has a warning light that blinks when there is a problem (though it could be brighter).

While I've had the freezer for just a month I am very satisfied. Delivery was smooth. Setup was easy. I notice when you close the door you hear the freezer pulling the door seal tight. I love the tight seal but because the freezer is on wheels, when opening the door it wants to roll towards me. I chocked the wheels to keep that from happening.

  32. Spacious Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Purchased to replace an older commercial freezer, when it was unloaded, although the same CF, it looked so much smaller that I was disappointed. Upon opening, it actually holds more! The door shelves are quite generous, as is the entire unit. Got to freezing temperature quickly.

  33. AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Love the size of the freezer. At first, I was concerned that it wouldn't fit all our freezer stuff because it isn't as deep as our old one. The old one was a bit smaller in size but was deeper. Haven't had it long and we will see how the garage ready feature works on days when it is warmer. So far loving it.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Love this freezer. It’s spacious and has lots of door space for those smaller items. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is the number of shelves provided. As large as this is, there could be at least one more shelf or at least an option to purchase additional shelves in the accessories for this model.

I love my new upright freezer, I was struggling along with a small freezer that was not frost free. I have osteoarthritis and leaning into that little freezer was becoming dangerous. 51. Works well

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This freezer combines stainless steel with large capacity at a decent price, just what my church kitchen needed. The gray interior is a bit dark but very flexible and usable. The rear feet are not adjustable, so since my floor sloped very slightly to the rear, I had to add shims under the rear (simply some pieces of wood) to level the unit - not a big deal.

This is my second Frigidaire freezer. The one I replaced was 29 years old and served me well. This is a bit larger with some nice upgrades; the green light to show it is working is a big plus, it is much easier to change to door opening from left to right, and I will save money on electricity usage. AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I picked up a 20 cubic foot Frigidaire freezer, and I’ve been really happy with it. It has a ton of space, so I can stock up without worrying about running out of room. Everything stays frozen solid, and it cools down pretty quickly too. I like how simple it is to use—nothing complicated, just does exactly what I need it to do. It’s also quieter than I expected, which is a nice bonus. Overall, I’m really glad I went with this freezer. It’s reliable, spacious, and gets the job done. I’d definitely recommend it if you need extra freezer space.

The freezer is a replacement of a failed LG freezer that stopped performing after 2 years. This freezer seems good. But, in all fairness, I couldn’t have it in my house due to how loud it is on certain cycles. It’s in my garage where I wanted it so the loudness is “acceptable”.

Simple and easy, the way it should be. If you're looking for an old school freezer with limited tech to break down on you then this is the freezer for you! It has a simple dial, on the inside, make it cold or colder! If you're like me and you see no reason for your freezer to connect to the internet and blow up your inbox with spam, then this old gal is your jam! Appliances the way they ought to be...

  86. Fingers crossed

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I’ve had this freezer about a month. So far this freezer runs as it should. Very quiet! And seems to keep things well frozen especially on the lower shelves. The only qualms I have is with the dial. It feels really loose when turning to adjust. I’m not sure if it’s “grabbing on” or not because of how loose it is. I did adjust the freezer down a little when my cool whip on the top shelf hadn’t frozen as much as I wanted it too (still soft around the edges even though it had been in there over 24hrs.) Will have to see.

  87. New freezer is working great!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Very roomy and easy to keep organized. Nice led lights and a green light on the bottom front to show the power is on. My only concern is the dial used to set the temperature, it turns so loosely that I have to be careful nothing rubs up against it and turns the dial. Overall we love our new Frigidaire freezer!

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Although I've only had the freezer a short while, I can say that it is well constructed, includes seemingly solid components and leaves out unnecessary features to limit what could ever go wrong. Delivery was handled well and the deal offered was great. Just make sure you have a dedicated 15 amp non-GFIC outlet within reach of the 6 ft power cord (no extension cords allowed).

Our last Frigidaire upright lasted over 16 yrs. It's still working, but won't stop running. With that in mind, we got another one. This upright is quiet, and works wonderfully! AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The freezer is great so far. Only had it for about 2 months after upgrading from an older, smaller version. A couple areas of improvement. 1. The bottom basket seems to rub or hit the door when it’s open/closed. I’m not sure what’s going on there or if it’s just a newness and being broken in still thing. 2. The wire shelves do not seem the strongest. I loaded them with our freezer items, meats, soups, frozen pizzas, etc. and they already appear to be sagging under the weight of the items I’ve put in there. We will see how things hold up.

  135. Seals not a firm of a suction

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I would go 5 star, but for some reason the door seals are not sealing that great. It's caused some ice build up, that I've had to clean up a few times. I've reorganized dozens of times to make sure nothing is blocking it..but the seals still seem weak, no resistance pulling a dollar bill through the seal suction. Which i would thing the auto shut mechanism would help with that. I've resorted to 2 child safety latches to force a secure close. Just disappointed as I thought the extra security measures it came with meant i wouldn't need them anymore. Its just under 2 months old, so I'm not sure what to think. Other than that, I would love it.

I bought my upright frost free freezer to replace a 14 Cu. Ft. 13 year old Frigidaire chest freezer. I have had it for a month now and no issue. I set it up according to instructions but after 24 hours, I noticed it was beeping even though every thing inside was frozen. So, I raised the temperature a bit since the freezer was quite full and I felt it may need a little boost to come back into regulation. And that seems to have done the trick. I haven’t heard a beep since. I also loved the upright feature because I can arrange things separately and finding things are also much easier. No more forgotten chicken or beef at the bottom of the freezer.

The freezer looks great! We love the fact it has a simple temperature dial on the inside and the green light at the bottom makes it simple to monitor. It does run on the louder side but I figured that is just due to its size. At first I thought something could’ve been wrong.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Very happy so far. Only 6 days in. Freezer is super quiet. I have 2 minor issues. 1) The door does not close on its own. 2) The freezer made A LOT of noise the first 12 or so hours it was on. So much in the fact that I called Frigidaire out of concern. They were very willing to replace it if necessary, but the noises did stop. Noises are hard to explain but a lot of snap crackle and pop sounds as well as expansion and contraction crackling. Frigidaire should post an informational message that this could be normal on first startup.

Lots of room, light in freezer makes it easy to see and find what we need. We are so thrilled to have an awesome freezer. No more waste of food due to not being able to see or find it. I had a chest freezer for 40 years. It was difficult to organize, reach food, and defrost. I had food expire so their was a-lot of waste. My husband used it as his work bench. I had to remove his tools to access my freezer. I am so glad I switched out and bought this upright freezer. I love I can see the food I have in this easy open design. The door closes tightly so I do not worry about the door being left open. Easy organizing. Less Food waste.

Love my new freezer. It has so much storage. And I love that it has a light on the outside to let you know that it is at the right temperature

  277. Working great so far!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I really love my new freezer. It has lots of space a nice bright light so I can inventory my frozen items, and I really like the discreet green light on the bottom that shines on the floor. It let's me know all is well with just a quick look instead of having to go out and open the door.

  281. Have two Frigidaire freezers sitting side by side. One 15 years old & brand new.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The older one is definitely built heavier. Time will tell. I hear it running a lot more than the older one but I heard that was due to the variable circulation fan.

  282. It's what the repair man told me to get.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Frigidaire was one of the two brands my appliance repair man told me to buy, so when I needed a freezer this was an easy decision. This one has ample space, is nicely designed, and I suspect will be in use for a long time.

  283. Upright Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

It's a big upright freezer, roomy and fits good in the garage. Lots of room, shelves in the freezer and shelves in the door.

  284. Exactly what we were looking for

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This garage-ready freezer has the metal shelves and cubic capacity we were looking for. I’m thrilled with the purchase and have already started stocking it. I also like the green light that lets me know the power is on.

  285. replacing old Frigidaire freezer with a new one

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Our over twenty year old Frigidaire upright freezer just up and died, two day before our side of beef is ready. Luckily, because of the audible warning for low temperature, I was warned before all the contents were ruined. The next morning, I went out and bought a similar model upright Frigidaire. Now I am set for life!! LOL

The freezer is very nice. My only complaint is that it doesn't run as quietly as our previous one.

  288. Great freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I love the size. The shelves make organizing so much easier. I also love that it has a light in it. Our 30+ yr old didn’t.

We are a small business and we own a handful of these freezers. We continue to buy them as they are a good price and a good product.

This freezer has been working great in my garage! The door stays sealed with suction and it has been keeping food frozen without any frost.

  292. LOUD, the fans is hitting

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

The fan is hitting on something. It will go click* click* click* Definitely would look elsewhere. Would show a video but they only allow videos from YouTube. Kinda like they don’t want defects posted.

  293. Nice freezer but issues right away

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

The freezer is nice but the door came warped and we had to submit a warranty claim right away. The warranty company said it was a known issue with seals. They came out and replaced everything but having to submit a claim on a new appliance was annoying.

  294. Needs baskets

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Original door damaged; replacement door damaged so now waiting on the second replacement. Previous Frigidaire Freezer had two good quality baskets (not like the one provided) that could be mounted as "drawers" - made organizing much easier/neater. Modified one of the shelf mounts to accommodate one of the baskets but couldn't get the other one to work because of door bin placements. The basket provided with the new freezer warrants a 1 star rating which is why I rated the freezer as average.

  295. Not Like My Previous Frigidaire Freezer

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

My previous 20 CF Frigidaire freezer ran since December 1999, over 25 years! Heartbroken when it suddenly had an unrepairable internal leak according to appliance repairman. New unit has less shelves and baskets. Having troubling organizing food due to less shelving & basket.

  296. Works good but a bit loud

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Bought this for our new home to put in the pantry. It is a little louder than we would have liked, but works good. Would be fine for a garage

  297. Not as much space as my old 20 cu Frididaire

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

This is not as roomy as my old 20 cu frigidaire freezer. This one has only 4 shelves inside one basket one the bottom that doesn't hold as much as my old basket and i only have 5 shelves on the door where my old one had 6. You have to be careful on how you stack food in the basket. If you stack it the wrong way the door does not shut. The shelves themselves are also smaller than my previous freezer. They are not as wide or as long. All around i have lost a lot of space in this 20 cu freezer. Wish this one was as good as my old one. If you are someone that buys a half of a cow as we do. I would get the next size up so will have enough room.

  298. Upright freezer

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

Purchased freezer 6-11-2024. 2 months after receiving it the freezer light quit. They replaced the door. Then after that it the fan was making a noise like it was hitting something.. that has continued. Now the appliance not keeping temperature. So buying a new appliance. I strongly recommend you do not purchase Frigidaire appliances.
