A Love Affair

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Let me just say.... I LOVE MY LG fridge with it's 4 types of ice! It is actually often the topic of conversation when I have guests. We love it so much so that my son bought the exact same one as well! It lost a star because the ice maker in the door went bad just after the 1 year mark and the craft ice is slow, really slow to produce those awesome large balls of ice for rock drinks. I was a bit concerned when we went from a 42" wide fridge to this 36" but it really has plenty of adjustable space inside.

Very roomy for a counter depth.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The fridge is very roomy on the inside, especially for a counter depth size. The fact that it doesn't have handles is taking me some time to get used to only because my last fridge had them. The mirror is prone to fingerprints but the stainless isn't. The water pressure on the water dispenser is good. The 4 different ice sizes is a nice feature. We feel so bougie with our craft ice! The big drawer is big enough for our berry baskets. The freezer is pretty roomy and has 2 drawers and a bottom section. Half of one of the drawers is taken up with 2 ice containers. The water filter was easy to get to and easy to install. I really love the fact that it has a light bar at the top of the freezer drawer that comes on when it senses that you're nearby. I love that I can knock on the mirror and the light will come on. It's handy to see that the ketchup is better accessed by opening the door, or vice versa. It saves on unnecessary door opening. Overall, so far, we are loving it. We are happy with the purchase.

Great features with a caveat

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We bought this refrigerator about half a year ago. It has some very cool features, like the extra front door for easy access. But we also have had trouble with the freezer door. It started getting hard to open, and we found that at certain temperatures, water would melt and then harden on the tracks, making it impossible to open the door. Finally, we couldn't open the door at all, so we had to have an LG repair person come in. He had to break the tracks to get the freezer door open, so he has now ordered a new freezer door and tracks for us, which he'll be installing later this week.

Love the glass door. Love the round ice.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Mostly our favorite fridge ever. Love the glass door. Learned to love the round cubes. One little problem and two bigger ones. Wish we could adjust shelf height a little more. Ice is slow. Got some trays for round ice and stay busy keeping the bin full during hot days. Have had repairs twice: once for seals and once for the fan. Runners wore out from ice build up when seals needed replacing. But we love the fridge and are very happy with it for over a year. Get the extended warranty.

I bought this refrigerator at the end of August and my wife and I absolutely love it. The app is very user friendly and I can control my temperature ,ice bins as well as many other features. It produces crushed ice, cubed ice, mini cubed ice as well as craft ice. Overall, this is one of the best refrigerators we have ever owned

Plenty of ice and water!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We have had this refrigerator for about 6 months and love it. We go through a lot of ice and water and this fridge delivers. With the craft ice lasting for hours. My only issue is the glass does collect fingerprints but that was not a surprise and was a tradeoff we liked versus the SS door. We like to be able to see inside and use the outer door routinely. We still comment on how much we love this fridge!

Great after 2 Months

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

After having this Fridge for 2 months, we continue to be very happy with this choice. It is very roomy inside and we have not needed to even plug in the garage fridge. We like the 4 different ice choices, especially the craft ice. The front door water dispenser doesn't drip when you pull your glass away. The inside drawers all slide in and out very easy. We love the see through door and the mirror, and while it does smudge easy from fingerprints, it cleans off quickly.

Wonderful, Hoping!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The fridge is absolutely beautiful! It is wonderful having a mirror in the kitchen, also having so many choices of ice for your beverage. I’m just hoping that this product was built to last, as it was a very pricey investment. I was very cautious when buying it due to prior LG compressor track records. I hope they stand behind any issues….

I've had this item now for a couple of months and I can say it's been so good for me. From the mirror window to the nightlight feature. No complaints to be found. I have had a French door style before but the shelving and door storage options are far superior with this model.

We Love This Fridge!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We love our new refrigerator! We get ice for all our drinks, and this fridge has 4 different types! The spherical Craft Ice ice is so fun to use when we have guests over and we love using the mini cubed ice for everyday use. The fridge has a very sleek look inside and out and we like the minimalist look of having no visible door handles. The water dispenser also looks very nice with just a few touch sensitive buttons (all the operational buttons for the fridge are on the inside).

Tons of capacity, great features, few minor flaws

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Our previous counter-depth fridge only had 19.8 cu ft of interior space. With that in mind, the huge capacity of this LG model is what we love most about it. To fit 26 cu ft into *almost* the same tight space is phenomenal. I say *almost* because this fridge sticks out a lot farther than my old one — not because it's much deeper, but because of the poor door hinge design. I have room to push the fridge back even more, and I could if it had better door hinges. With the design as-is, the doors will hit the cabinetry on either side of the fridge if I push it back any farther. That's my only major qualm with this model, and the only thing standing in the way of a 5-star rating. A second, minor qualm is that the doors slam shut unless you guide them all the way closed. This LG fridge is whisper-quiet, spacious, and cools to the exact temperatures you set (confirmed with two separate infrared temperature guns). The freezer is especially large, and it has an excellent layout that maximizes the available space. I also love that you can open the front of the glass panel on the right to quickly grab things from the extra large door shelves (blurred for privacy in the attached image). The "Mirror InstaView Window" knock feature is a neat novelty, but I doubt I'll ever use it. The craft ice is a nice bonus, especially the big round scotch cubes and the mini cubes that my dog loves. Wi-Fi features work fine, but they don't add much value and are unnecessary for most people. It's also worth noting that LG's installers were fantastic. They were fast, professional, and left my kitchen spotless. All in all, it's a fantastic fridge so far and I would definitely recommend it.

Zachary E · Nov 28, 2023

Great features, spacious counter depth design

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We’ve been using the refrigerator for almost a month now. The construction is solid, the motor is quiet. The amount of space for a counter depth is perfect. Coming our of a French door side by side for the last 16 years, I’m finding the amount to usable space perfect.

Cruzmoon · Nov 5, 2023

Good, needs some tweaks.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I like it. The only thing that really bothers me is the flip out stanchion that seals the freezer and refrigerator doors. Also the condiments in the doors rattle and clank very badly when the doors close. Overall, seems to be working well.

My Love Affair with My New LG Refrigerator!!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I can't even begin to express how much I adore my new LG refrigerator. This is my third fridge, and it's like I've finally found "the one." Let me dive right into why this appliance has become the crown jewel of my kitchen. First off, the Mirror InstaView is a lifesaver when I'm cooking up a storm for family dinners. Just a simple knock, and I can see exactly where my basil and mozzarella are for the Caprese salad, without even opening the door. It's like having X-ray vision, but for my fridge. The Door-in-Door feature has made my life so much easier, especially during my weekend meal prep sessions. I can quickly grab my frequently used condiments and sauces without disturbing the main compartment. It's like having a mini-fridge within my fridge, specifically for my Sriracha and Dijon mustard. Now, let's talk about ice. I'm a bit of an iced coffee aficionado, and the Craft Ice feature has taken my homemade cold brew to a whole new level. The slow-melting round ice keeps my coffee chilled without diluting the flavor. And when it's movie night, the Crushed Ice is perfect for my homemade slushies. The Pocket Handle Design with the Welcome Light is like a warm hug every time I walk into my kitchen. Late-night snack raids have become a luxurious experience. As I approach the fridge, the soft glow of the welcome light guides me, making me feel like I'm opening a treasure chest rather than just a fridge. Door Cooling+ is another feature that's blown me away. I love making smoothies in the morning, and thanks to Door Cooling+, my berries and spinach are always perfectly chilled and fresh. It's like this fridge knows exactly how to keep my ingredients in their prime. Space is another huge win for this LG refrigerator. I've compared it with other brands, and it's noticeably bigger. I can store a week's worth of groceries and still have room for my baking experiments. And let's talk about the look—it's like it's from the future. While other fridges look like they belong to older generations with their clunky handles, this one is sleek and modern, making it a stylish addition to my kitchen. Last but not least, the ThinQ Technology with ThinQ Care has turned me into a tech-savvy chef. I can adjust the temperature settings right from my smartphone while I'm out grocery shopping. Plus, the maintenance tips ensure that I'm always getting the best performance out of my fridge. My new LG refrigerator isn't just an appliance; it's an integral part of my daily life. It's like having a personal kitchen assistant that knows me better than I know myself. If you're looking for a fridge that combines innovation, convenience, and a touch of luxury, your search ends here.

Exactly what we needed

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Great refrigerator! The counter depth was super important to us. It fits our space but it’s bigger than our previous one. I only wish this one would come with the separate deli drawer instead of inside the refrigerator. The freezer is spacious. I love how organized everything looks! The ice craft is amazing. The mirror door excellent. I just love this refrigerator!

LG Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am writing this review to cover my new LG refrigerator. I want to start off by saying, I really like this refrigerator and I will add some information in this review that some might take as a negative but really it is just a Con with respect to my preferences and experiences with previous refrigerators. I will tell you the Pros and Cons from my perspective. I want to start out with the delivery process. The delivery company that was selected was nothing but the ultimate display of professionalism. From the first contact to set up the delivery to the moment they walked out of my home. Part of my review I wanted to experience the actual install myself and see what I liked and didn’t. So the refrigerator was delivered just inside my front door, unboxed and ready for me to install. I specifically asked the delivery men to do just that and sent them on their way. So I did a quick tour of the unit and familiarized myself with the features, like to doors, drawers, shelves, trays, hoses, cord and yes the owners manual. I took some time to read the owners manual and get a good feel for the install before I started. I removed all of the plastic and tape used to secure and protect the unit. I would like to say, once unwrapped it is truly a beautiful refrigerator. I got the stainless steel one and you can see in the pictures. So while this was new it has many of the features that my current refrigerator has but many more improved ones. I will say though that I honestly spent a few moments trying to locate the power cord. Every other refrigerator I have ever owned had a power cord on the bottom back or middle back. This one is on the top of the refrigerator and hangs down. I think a great feature as you plug it in and roll it back ensures you won’t roll over the cord. The next thing to tackle was the water supply for the ice makers. The delivery team provided me with a new one that was in the box and it was super easy to install on the refrigerator and the connection to the wall. Perfect fit and minimal tools needed. During the entire set up it was the only tool I needed other than the leveling tool that is provided. Ok.. let’s talk about features. First is the Counter depth size of this refrigerator. I personally love this aspect of the unit as it allows you more room than a non counter depth unit. Sometimes every inch in the kitchen matters. Now one thing to consider is how this unit sits in your kitchen. If you have counters on both sides this refrigerator will be perfect. My kitchen has a wall on the right side, this does not allow me to open the door fully when it is pushed all the way back. However the way the wall is I just have to pull it forward a few inches. Again.. this is my kitchen though and not the refrigerators bad. My favorite feature on this refrigerator is the ice makers. Yes I said makers. It makes four kinds of ice, cubed, crushed, craft and mini cubes. The beautiful part is, the craft and mini cube are deposited right in separate bins in the freezer portion of this refrigerator. Always full and ready when you want it. I absolutely love that feature of the refrigerator. The next feature is a window into your fridge. The entire door on the right side is a glass window that you can knock two times and it lights up, when not lit up it acts as a mirror. That was something to get used to because I am not used to seeing myself in the refrigerator so it takes time to adjust to. Now I don’t even notice it. However, that window allows you to open it and access the products on the door without having to open the entire refrigerator to get something. It’s a wonderful feature. There is also lights between the refrigerator and freezer portion that when you walk by it lights up. Very handy at night when you want to have some light in the kitchen to get ice or water and don’t want to turn on the full kitchen lights. Inside the refrigerator are very similar to many others with the exception of the temp controls and ice controls. They are very conveniently placed and easy to understand and use. Here are a couple things that I am still trying to adjust to and again this is really a person thing for me and not the performance of the refrigerator. First, the ice maker side of the refrigerator door closes very hard. I am getting use to learning how not to slam it. The next thing is the glass door and fingerprints on the door. As you can see in the pictures this refrigerator does not have protruding handles like other refrigerators but those are on the top and bottom of the doors as hand holds in the door. This just takes some adjustment to get used to but again, it does not effect the refrigerator at all. Another great feature is the app that goes along with this and other LG products. I recommend getting that app and using the service of the staff that monitors the questions and chat feature. I have learned from them already. Plus it allows me to access the health of the refrigerator at the palm of my hand. That’s a great feature for sure. Lastly I will say, overall this is a wonderful refrigerator. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a refrigerator of this kind. LG is a solid brand and I have many other products in my home that I rely on the LG brand. You can’t go wrong buying this refrigerator in my opinion.

Beautiful, Spacious Fridge!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I have had this fridge for several weeks now, it replaced a side by side fridge and I honestly really, REALLY love this fridge! Love at fridge sight, to tell you the truth. This is counter depth, which is as concerned about, but it is so incredibly spacious. The funny thing is that I actually find that this fridge keeps me so much more organized than the side by side. I can see everything that we have and nothing gets lost. One of the unique and interesting things about this fridge is that one side is glass and when you knock on the door, a light turns on and you can view into what you have. You can put drinks or most used items on the glass door area and you can quickly see what you have. To add to the coolness of this fridge is that, you can open the glass partition and it doesn’t open the entire door, it just open the front and you can grab whatever you need without having to open the entire fridge door. I love that feature! Also, if you live in a warm weather climate like I do, this thing is an ice making beast. It makes craft ice align with your regular and cubed ice. Amazing!!! We were constantly running out of ice before with our old fridge and now we joke around about how ice rich we are now. It’s awesome. Love love this fridge!

BeachHouseMama · Aug 24, 2023

Simply the best fridge out there.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The pictures do not do it justice, this refrigerator is nearly a work of art. The mirrored finish is beautiful, the functionality is so well thought out, and the craft ice is a party favorite. The look of this fridge transformed our entire kitchen. The interior provides a ton of space and the window to see drinks is super helpful. I can not recommend this LG refrigerator enough.

Daba512 · Aug 17, 2023

Sleek and full of space

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of the most spacious counter-depth refrigerators I have ever owned. I have had four before this and my previous one was also an LG from about eight years ago. The ice maker has a lot of capacity and it makes four kinds of ice (I love the tiny cubes for my drinks). If you drink anything requiring ice balls, then this is your fridge. The door is cool (no pun intended) since you can just knock on it and it shows you the interior pretty clearly. It is a nice to have feature but the space of the interior and the ice types (which don't take away too much from the freezer space) are what really sold me on this refrigerator.

calvert71 · Aug 10, 2023

Excellent!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Over the years we've brought many LG appliances into our lives and have continuously been extremely happy. From our microwave, dishwasher, TVs, plus our original introduction to LG, our large capacity washer and dryer, which 11 years later are both still going strong, we've become huge fans! This refrigerator's no exception and is absolutely fantastic in design, functionality, and capacity! LG used every bit of the 26 cubic square feet smartly making storage and organization easy and maximizing the amount it can hold. With door in door for quick access, Multiple in door storage shelves, split adjustable primary shelves, multiple fridge and freezer drawers, it holds a lot, and is customizable to meet various needs and keep food visible. The door dispenser height fits our water bottles perfectly, dispensing both crushed and cubed ice as well as water. The mini cubes and craft ice dispense below directly into their freezer bins. Visually, it is sleek and gorgeous! I love the clean lines created by the hidden handles which are both on the top and bottom of the doors. We currently have ours pulled out while we finish some remodeling work, but the unit is true counter depth. The knock feature is great for true "window shopping" without letting the cold out and the lighting is great! The interior is evenly well-lit plus the outside motion activated LED is handy. We are beyond happy with our new LG and have zero qualms recommending it!

Beautiful, Modern, Functional, and Efficient!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We have owned this LG refrigerator for two weeks and love it. It is very modern looking and has tons of space. The mirror door opens for bin access only or you can open the full door for inside. This frig makes craft ice, large round cocktail ice balls, or regular cubes. The temp controls and filter are easy to access. The freezer has three pull out drawers! This frig lights up when you walk by! Double tap the mirror and it lights up to show what’s inside. Beautiful stainless steel, easy to wipe clean. Door grips are recessed at the top and bottom. We love this machine!

Love!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

So, my old refrigerator quit making ice about 2 years ago when it was only 4 years old. Because of that, we upgraded to, not one, not two and not even three types of ice, but FOUR types of ice! Yes! You read that right! FOUR different types of ice! (I love the big balls best!) Besides a the ice, I live being able to see inside without opening the door. I love all the drawers and adjustable shelves AND the door that opens just when I need something from the door! My only wish would be to have extetnal access to the drawer that stretches all the way across at the bottom of the refrigerator.

Amazing

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am very impressed with this refrigerator. The right side looks like a mirror and when you tap it the light comes on so you can see what's inside. The ice maker on the left panel you can get water, regular sized ice cubes or crushed ice. This makes four different types of ice. The freezer has two drawers, each with a pad inside so you don't hear the ice when it drops. One size makes large, fancy balls for cocktails and one side makes smaller craft ice. It really impresses guests when I host a party. There are three layers in the freezer, the larger deep one at the bottom. A middle tray for smaller things making them easier to find, I use this for my lunch ice packs and smaller ice cream bars. The top drawer includes the two ice trays and the right half is good size. The left side of the refrigerator door is where you replace your water filter when needed. It also has four trays to hold your condiments and smaller items. The right side you can open the front portion from the outside for quick access to drinks or snacks which is lightweight and perfect for kids. When you fully open the right side you have four shelves and one is larger to hold milk and larger items. Once you open the refrigerator you have your bottom pantry drawer that you can set to meat, deli or produce so it stays the correct temperature. You also have to shelves on both sides and the second shelf on the right side has the option to slide back halfway if you have taller items inside and need that space. The refrigerator has handles above and below each door to open so it has a very slick look on the outside with no handles. The left side is definitely heavier with the ice maker so it tends to shut harder so I make sure to hold the handle when closing that side. The freezer has a handle on the top for you to open. I love the stainless steel look and it's easy to clean, it even comes with a microfiber cloth. It's classy looking and makes a great addition to my kitchen complimenting my appliances. My kids love the mirror side and I often catch them singing into it and making videos. I'm very impressed with this refrigerator and all it's features.

Spacious, Stylish, and Packed with Useful Features

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We are very pleased with our LG LRYKC2606S refrigerator. The counter-depth design gives it a clean, built-in appearance without sacrificing much-needed storage space. The Mirror InstaView door looks modern and makes it easy to check frequently used items without opening the refrigerator. The four types of ice are a great feature, especially when entertaining, and the interior is well organized with plenty of room for groceries. It cools evenly, operates quietly, and the smart features are convenient without being overly complicated. Overall, this refrigerator combines excellent capacity, attractive styling, and practical features. It has been a great addition to our kitchen, and we would definitely recommend it.

I owned two over 11 years

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Over ten years I have owned two. The first lasted 9 years 6 months and stopped working the day after I bragged to a friend about how great the fridge has been (reliable, quiet, and so forth). What failed? The coolant line at the joint at the compressor (cracked and coolant leaked out in about 2 minutes, smells foul). Anyhoo, I wanted the same model, but they stopped production, so the best match was the 26 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator, main difference is the ice makers (ball and chicklet size in the freezer plus they removed the inner door behind the “knock “ glass). Otherwise, basically the same. It has been 1 yr 2 months with the new model. Observations: the ball ice is 80% clear and makes about 2 each day, the ice maker in the door has the same issue as prior model… ice sticking at the top and not dispensing (however, I found that by alternating uses between crushed and regular the ice does not accumulate). I use the ice dispenser in the door daily (2-3 times) at the same time (between 4pm -7pm). Make sure u toss the first cycle of ice made…just like washing new clothes (common sense). No issue after that with smell or taste. The water dispenser is much better than prior model (had issues with sticking and dripping). CONs: nothing at this time.

We bought this to replace 20 year old kitchenaid appliances. The footprint is a little larger than expected but it’s spacious on the inside. The ice makers are great. The craft ice is really good. It’s not as fingerprint proof as it claims and that’s the reason for only four stars.

I needed a counter depth fridge and this was the most storage of the ones I saw. I didn’t need 3 kinds of ice but I actually use them all to my surprise. The shelf that slides out of the way for tall items is good but I need more tall item storage than that. The stainless steel doesn’t show fingerprints but the black glass is always covered in prints. A good buy but could have improvements.

A really nice refrigerator!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this refrigerator several weeks ago and it works as advertised. A slightly smaller footprint than our previous one, but with the same capacity. The glass door is handy, and is a fingerprint grabber, but that was expected.

Great Refrigerator…But

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

So far we are very impressed with the function of the refrigerator itself. Our main concern is the door that houses the ice maker. Even though we believe the refrigerator is level, that door slams and does not close softly. If you close that door it shakes the entire refrigerator. I am hoping this is not a flaw that cannot be fixed.

Nice, but ice making isn’t very good.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I like it for the most part, but there is no point in having four kinds of ice at the speed it makes ice. 6 to 12 pieces of craft ice. The bin next to it also moves absurdly slowly. I have to have a countertop ice maker, and surprised ice being made in a much colder environment is not anywhere near as fast. But again, otherwise it’s great.

Ice options galore!

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Love the bells and whistles in this refrigerator; just wish it was a bit larger. Not a fan of having to move things out to reach items on the shelves in the back. This was one of the only refrigerators that would fir through our doorways and under our cabinet. we are enjoying the knock- knock feature and being able to open the beverage door for easy access to the items kept there; coffee creamer for one. All of the ice options are great as well as the water dispenser.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this fridge about two weeks ago. So far, so great! Love the multiple ice makers and the storage for a counter depth unit is legit! Way better than the failed G.E. unit that's at the curb. I've read all the reviews and horror stories about LG products, however, two weeks in we're really digging it. I'm also writing a blog about it and appliances in general so if things go south the world will hear it from me!

The refrigerator is good, wish it was bigger, the ice maker is much better than most makes good amount of ice. The craft ice is nice but not clear so water quantity does come into play, but makes a nice amount.

Loving it, After 10+ years of using our Bosch French door refrigerator it was time to change, we have LG washers and dryers around same age and very happy with both products. It's been about 20 days new LG french door refrigerator placed, Much larger space for both fridge and freezer. 4 different types of ice and 3 ice storages, old one use to run out of ice first thing in the morning. Quiet. Great lighting. Highly recommend

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Love our new refrigerator! The freezer doors below are awesome and limit over shopping, which we had a problem with. The mirror door is a cool feature and love the light up knock-knock door although it really just showcases condiments when lit up, which isn't really too attractive. Custom ice maker is great and produces a lot of ice. Love the craft ice balls for fancy cocktails.

Looks great

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Love the look and no handle design. The water and ice dispenser are messier than my other LG refrigerator. The ice shoots out with force and doesn’t always ring the glass. I love being able to easily see what is in the refrigerator and also the front of the mirrored door opens without opening the entire door to allow access to what is in the door. I find this very convenient.

Exceptional amount of ice!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Purchased this item in May to replace our old fridge that died. So far I am super pleased with this fridge. We choose this fridge because of the amount of ice it produces, we are a travel soccer family with 3 kids playing. Ice is the #1 reason for this purchase next to the amount of cubic feet for food storage. We are very happy with the amount of ice it produces daily hahaha. If you need alot of ice daily or have a fairly big family I would recommend.

Mirror mirror on my fridge...

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We wanted to get new appliances and so happy we picked this one! The ice maker (craft and small cubes) are amazing! The mirrored door is a lovely feature as well. It truly elevated our kitchen when we don't have the money for a remodel. The knock knock door is a nice feature but it really only shows the condiments. The bottom freezer drawers are great and spacious while also keeping us from overbuying which we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Great fridge with lots of useful features

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Very impressive appliance! It looks great and is very quiet - the build quality appears to be really good for the price, but the stainless-steel front is painfully thin compared to a Sub Zero. The door in door feature has been more useful for grabbing regular items and the mirror finish avoids most fingerprints. The 4 types of ice have also been used more than I thought; whilst "regular ice" is fine, it's awesome to dump a huge sphere of ice in a cocktail to reduce dilution. I really like the metrics that come through the ThinQ app - power, water usage etc

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We purchased the unit 3-4 months ago. Seems to work well and wi-fi control from a phone is very helpful. For example, we were gone for a month traveling. I turned off the ice makers before we left. The unit has in-door ice plus 2 specialty ices in the freezer drawer. Upon our return, I just could not unlock the secret to turning on 1 of the specialty ices, the ice balls. I connected the fridge to my phone and I was able to easily turn on the maker from it.

Love it but...

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I moved south and needed to replace my LG 30cu fridge. After tons of research, I decided to buy another LG. My criteria was the instaview: door-in-door option, counter depth, the largest size/max, ice and water on the outside panel, and multiple ice options. I'd give it 5 stars except due to lack of handles I am constantly cleaning up the fingerprints off the glass. Also, there's another counter depth max option that has a superior water dispenser system (but lacks the door-in-door). It was a trade off. Here's what's great: the door-in-door is a rock solid feature. We store all our drinks on the door and open/close the fridge door. All the ice options (again except the OK water and ice dispenser) provides our large family a good supply of ice and accessible water. It's super QUIET and COLD! And it's a great size! For us the fingerprints were an acceptable (grumbling) trade off to having the door-in-door option. But if you have small kids, think twice.

LorRae · Feb 16, 2024

Worth the money

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Love this fridge. Went counter depth so had to give up about 5 cu ft but it is spacious even with a that said. Great ice making capability with 4 different shapes and size of ice. Only issue we had was the sensor in the door stuck and ice kept coming out. Really like the knock on see through door.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I really like having the 4 doors, the knock on the glass door, the fact the fridge lights up when you walk by. I also think the storage space in the fridge is just right for my small family of 4. I do think I’ll enjoy the different sizes of ice once summer time comes around. All around, great product.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We just got our fridge and love it. My 2 complaints though are the left door SLAMs even with ensuring balancing of the door. The other thing was the glass door sits just a little lower than the right door. We adjusted the left door all the way down and added THREE spacers to the right and its still a little off. Outside of that i love the ice and capacity. I wish you could solve for the slamming left door

Great design - jury still out on reliability

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Bought the first LG fridge three months ago and had to return it because food was freezing inside the top part of the unit. The replacement is less than one month old. Functionally, it has a well-designed space with deep cavities and many compartments. The French door provides a light and excellent storage for often-used stuff without having to open the larger door, saving energy. The capacity to make different sized ice cubes is a nice feature.

Ken500 · Dec 7, 2023

Great features, perfect counter depth fit.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The refrigerator is solid, the design is well thought out. The counter depth measurements were a perfect fit, although we had to pull the fridge out about 4 more inches so the two door would swing open enough to pull the main drawer out. The only issue I have is the ice has a funny taste. Not the water, so it’s not the filter. It’s just the ice from the door ice maker. Would like to know if this is a known issue, how long it lasts and is it harmless. It’s a tad annoying but we’re hoping it will resolve itself eventuallly.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We replaced a 22 cubic ft, counter depth with the LG counter depth max. After having it for a month, we are very happy with it. The extra storage space is a huge improvement and it doesn't seem to stick out any farther. All three ice makers have been producing more than enough ice, even when we have company over, which was a massive issue with the Samsung. The door-in-door feature, I thought was ridiculous at first however, I use it more than I expected for condiments and sauces. The only odd thing about the fridge is not having door handles, but we've gotten used to it quickly.

Great Refigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Overall the refrigerator is great. It has a ton of room, looks great inside and out. It does take a lot to keep the fingerprints off of the window from showing but I usually keep a towel close by and wipe it down when I se the fingerprints from my kids. If you hate fingerprints, this is not the refrigerator for you. As for the ice, I like having different options and is pretty great for different drinks. It seems that the ice spheres and mini cubed ice limits the amount that it will allow you to make. The ice spheres only adds one layer of ice for a total of about 24 mini spheres even though it can hold about 75 and same thing for the mini cubes. It stops making after the tub is 1/4-1/2 the way full. I wish this was changed to allow more, not sure why is it does not even come close to being full and spilling over

Pleasantly.Surprised

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Full disclosure: I was skeptical when making this purchase. I read a lot of reviews, checked pricing, you name it. I have been happy with my decision. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the decision behind the LG support model. I was concerned when - after day 4 - the Craft Ice maker had not resulted in any Craft Ice. The instructions state 48 hours. When I opened a ticket with LG, the response was to send.me a video. A video that did not help me, as the model in video was different than mine. Eventually craft ice did drop, but the model from LG is concerning. When not call me and we can walk through my concerns together?

Great fridge and love the ice features

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this a month ago and have been very pleased with the purchase. We go through a ton of ice and the four different types have been able to keep up with us. It is very spacious and helps to make it less cluttered. The ice dispenser is great and doesn’t dump out a ton all at one time. The craft ice is a great feature - the clear mode ice keeps from melting too quick. We could probably do without the mirror and instaview, but that is just us. I also wish it had door handles, but that again is minor. Overall, fantastic fridge.

The design and product itself is amazing. Beautiful and truly state of the art. I love the craft ice feature. We have had an issue though the with fan for the indoor ice-maker which took away the experience a bit. Working on getting it fixed but had to remove all items from the fridge, unplug it and let it sit open overnight. Not what you want to do with a brand new and expensive fridge. That said, if it gets fixed and stays that way, it's an amazing fridge in so many ways.

I also wish that there was more space for tall items, I struggle to get gallons on the shelves. I know, I know, the doors allow for tall storage, but… oh, and we love the different ice options.

Great refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this as my previous LG was having some issues . Completely love the look of this . It produces two types of ice , the design is also minimalistic with a mirrored surface which looks great with any modern kitchen. There is ample room for both the freezer and non freezer sections. The light sensor is also a plus

Beautiful & Spacious

We love our new Insta View LG refrigerator . It is so spacious especially for a counter depth we have extra room for everything. It looks fantastic in the kitchen and contradictory to other reviews I have read, the shelves are completely adjustable. Love this Fridge!

The perfect Fridge!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am in love with this fridge! It is absolutely beautiful and I love the functionality of it. My husband is so pleased with the craft ice feature bc he makes Old Fashioneds and the ice balls are perfect! The tap screen has been so helpful for my kids who love to open and close the fridge on a regular basis too. And the double front door? It's everything!

Best Refrigerator I Ever Owned

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The LG Smart Mirror InstaView® Counter-Depth MAX™ French Door Refrigerator is the best refrigerator I ever owned. This 26 cubic foot refrigerator has every cool feature and upgrade; way exceeding my expectations. First of all, this is a counter depth refrigerator so it looks so nice in my kitchen because it's aligned with my counters and doesn't stick out past them -- this creates a smooth a polished look in my kitchen. Next, you can see inside of the refrigerator without even opening the doors -- how great is that and what a great energy saver! Did I mention this was a quiet refrigerator? No more loud refrigerator noise which is such a small thing, but an important feature. I love the french doors and there's plenty of room inside to store all my food. The spacious interior is what I love the most. I can also make four different types of ice cubes and the ice and water dispenser is tall so I can use larger bottles to fill with no problems. Lastly, the stainless steel is beautiful to look at and the look screams 'expensive' though the refrigerator runs at a great price. I couldn't be happier with this new fridge!!!

Amazing and elegant refrigerator for any kitchen

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The LG French Door Counter-Depth Smart Refrigerator with Mirror InstaView is a true marvel of modern appliance design. With its sleek and elegant stainless steel finish, this refrigerator adds a touch of sophistication to any kitchen. One of the standout features of this refrigerator is the Mirror InstaView panel. The mirrored glass panel becomes transparent with a simple knock, revealing the contents inside without opening the door. This feature allows you to quickly and easily check on your groceries and minimize energy loss, all while adding a touch of futuristic flair to your kitchen. Does a great job of not leaving fingerprints behind as well. The spacious interior of this refrigerator offers a generous amount of storage space, providing ample room for all your groceries and more. The customizable organization options, including adjustable shelves and bins, make it easy to arrange and access your items efficiently. The counter depth version allows this fridge to not only hold everything but sit flush with your countertops. This is an amazing fridge that will upgrade any kitchen for a new modern look.

First Time LG Customer

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Since I am a first time LG customer, I am still learning some of the features. This refrigerator is very sleek with its thin profile and no handles. However, I have found that I am constantly cleaning the glass door since there are no handles. I love the door in door feature though. It is very convenient.

Economical Energy Saver.

This was bought to replace one that was not getting cold. Have not had a shortage of ice since purchasing it. Only real complaint is that the light for the Ice/Water Dispenser is too dim.

LG 26 CU FT Counter Depth Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I had to replace my refrigerator, did some research and LG was the recommended brand by Consumer Reports. I found this model and it was the perfect fit! No handles and counter depth gives it a nice smooth look. I love the different ice options! Craft ice, mini cubes, or regular cubes through the door! The freezer and refrigerator compartment keep the set temperature throughout the compartments. The other features are very nice also. Door in a door is more convenient than I ever thought it would be and helps keep the refrigerator cooler by only opening the small door. The see through door is pretty cool though I really don't use it much. Would I buy it again? Absolutely!

Lg French Door Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this counterdepth max French door refrigerator in Dec 2022 and I love it! It is so quiet and I love the dual ice makers and the see through side door panel. The only thing I wish was different on this model would be the ability to open that see through front panel. Other than that, its a true winner!

Nice Fridge - needs more ice.

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I purchased this product about 8 months ago. It is a very nice fridge although my mini ice cube maker feeler arm has malfunctioned already and needs repair. The craft ice is awesome but it’s not a complete sphere as there is a flat bottom. It stops making craft once the bucket gets to about 15 spheres in the tray. Still awesome fridge. The LG mobile app is cool to use in controlling the fridge and updating on product needs, such as filters.

Great features poor compressor

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Love all the features of this refrigerator. Disappointed that the compressor failed 5 days prior to the unit being a year old. Fortunately was still under warranty and was repaired. Took over a week to get it fixed. Refrigerator compressors are not new technology really disappointed about its failure. My previous refrigerators have lasted at least 15 years before the compressor gave out.

This is a beautiful refrigerator however; it does not keep the temperature I am waiting on my 3rd replacement. I hope this one works. If not, I will declare this model a lemon.

Stylish but unbalanced product

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I bought this frig because of its aesthetics and modern functions. So far the frig is working well and pleasant to watch and use. However, this frig came with one door unleveled so the right door is about an inch below the left door. It came with 2 door inserts to level the doors but it's still about half an inch low. It's just very unfortunate to have this visual imperfection, otherwise it's a great looking frig.

A little disappointed

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Have only had this appliance for 8 months and already having problems with the ice makers. The mini cubed ice maker stopped making ice. After a few weeks without mini cubed ice, the icemaker started making ice again. Not sure how long that will last. The Craft Ice is not fully formed and not clear with the Craft Ice set to 3 ICE. They are very noisy and squeak when trying to make ice. A little disappointed in this appliance so far.

Good Fridge with some cautions.

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Overall I like the refrigerator. It’s quiet and maintains its temperature evenly. It also has a lot more space than my previous LG counter depth one. Why 3 stars: 1) Fingerprints - this fridge is a fingerprint magnet 2) Doors came severely out of alignment. I had to call LG to get additional shims as the 2 included were not enough. 3) Not specific to this new fridge, but my last LG knock knock fridge only lasted 4 years and 2 months before dyeing. I question the reliability of the LG brand - time will tell.

The fridge is garbage. And trying to get through the AI to get resolutions is a joke. They know there’s a problem with this fridge but continue to make parts difficult to acquire.

Poor product forever

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

I've never had any experience like this before. The new LG fridge came with a light off under right door first, then the ice was never made after 48 hours, then the door alarm kept beeping so we had to plug out the power. The fridge has been returned, we would never use LG again and I will tell everyone I know about this story. So terrible product that made us have 2 weeks without fridge to use!

Has not cooled for three months since purchase on 08/10/2024 for new home refrigerator. Outside contractor stated he could not fix it: LG tech has replaced 6 major parts; still does not work. An expensive mistake

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

FYI the extra ice bragged about here means less freezer & refrigerator space. The shelves in the refrigerator are closer together and the only way to store a gallon milk jug is on the second shelf with half of the top shelf collapsed. Again FYI LG milk isn't supposed to be store on the door. It takes so incredibly long to make enough craft ice its' existence is meaningless.

Great fridge except for the craft ice maker

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

As a refrigerator/ freezer it is great. This specific model was purchased for the craft ice maker. The craft ice is great when the ice maker is functional. We are now on our third ice maker as the design appears to be faulty. Ice will get stuck in the mold and water will just shoot into your freezer each time the ice maker goes through a cycle. Lg just keeps replacing with the same ice maker so it’ll be an endless cycle until warranty expires.

CM31 · Aug 29, 2026

Don’t buy for the craft ice

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

I bought this for your craft ice balls. You can call the, anything but balls. 3/4 moon 1/2 moon but not balls. You’re then told these shapes are within spec. A gimmick and a joke. Also the water dispensed is slightly cool at best. And now my one year warranty has expired.

Junk

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

Within a year of owning both ice makers, they broke, and now that they are out of warranty, we are left with just one ice maker. Unfortunately, it doesn't produce enough ice, so we also have a countertop ice maker. The countertop model makes just enough ice to fill the kids' water bottles and my husband's, and then it runs out.

Broken after one month

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

One month and it is broken already! My freezer stopped working, then turned back on but keeps telling my ice is stuck, then it says door is open. And the door is closed. Has an app that tells you to dump ice if not used regularly, but it can’t tell you the freezer is defrosted as an alert? Now my food in freezer is wasted, as I didn’t find out until I went into freezer.

Ice makers disappointing & coldness not up to par

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

I really was excited about this fridge; however, it’s been a real disappointment. I really love the door where you can put things in the front of the fridge. The ice makers are horrible and useless. I was excited about the big balls of ice, but that only lasted a few months then the bucket that holds the ice froze over and there was just sheets of ice. We defrosted the area and it did not make a difference back to sheets of ice. The ice maker in the door is not any better. Even with not using the door ice maker that much it completely stopped working. Got an LG part, first delivery the part was damaged. The second delivery the part did not work. To pay this much for a fridge and the ice makers to be substandard is disappointing. The ice makers are not sturdy and broke with really not a lot of use.

Dirty Ice that Doesn’t go away, doors slam

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

We love the look, the space, and the glass door.  We bought it for the craft, mini cubed, crushed and cubed ices that it produces.  After we hooked it up the ice was shedding what looks like pulp, galley dust and the water tasted like chlorine (chemically).  We figured the lines just needed to flush (even after we purged the water filter like we had on our other fridge).  After 2 weeks of emptying the ice daily, the water still tasted like a hose.  I finally went out and bought a new water filter and replaced it.  Yay, the water finally tasted like our water.  I don’t understand why, but almost a month later the ice is still just as nasty.  Perhaps it’s really nasty lines the ice collects water from but it looks disgusting and I hope it’s not carcinogenic.  If this was not a problem I’d give it 4.5 stars because the door hinges need a soft close to keep them from slamming.
