It's a classic!

I had a similar Kitchen Aid refrigerator from 10+ years ago. It is alive and well and running better than ever! We just completed new construction and I wanted the same experience from a newer model as I relocated the original to our cabin. This model closely resembles it but is far more modern (again the reason for purchasing a new one). The storage format is a bit different but with features I welcome. The only difference I have noted so far is the freezer has slightly less space. I can work around it, but I prefer the freezer format in my older model.

This fridge looks amazing in our kitchen. I was a little worried about the inside space with a counter-depth model, but it’s actually really well laid out and holds quite the amount of groceries. It cools with great precision, the ice and water dispenser works perfectly, the inside lighting is great, and it runs pretty quiet and energy efficient. No complaints at all.

Great looking fridge!

Really love this fridge. I don’t miss the lost space due to being countertop depth and it makes it look so much better. The handles are stylish and very sturdy. The wood detailed door makes it look high end. Cools great and is easily adjusted as needed. Wipes clean easily with just a wet rag.

Beautiful, Quiet Refrigerator with a Few Minor Imp

I purchased the KitchenAid KRSC536RPS counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator and overall, I’m very happy with it. The design and finish are excellent — the PrintShield stainless looks premium and truly resists fingerprints. The counter-depth fit gives a clean, built-in look that really elevates the kitchen. The refrigerator is quiet and consistent, maintaining steady temperatures in both compartments. The LED lighting and interior layout make it easy to organize and find items. I also appreciate the measured water dispenser feature, which is convenient and accurate. There are a few areas that could use attention. The freezer space feels a bit tight, and the shelving could be slightly more adjustable. The ice maker works, but it tends to produce ice slowly and sometimes the dispenser can be messy or jam slightly. I also needed to have the doors realigned shortly after installation. Overall, it’s a well-designed, attractive, and reliable appliance that fits beautifully in a modern kitchen. I’d gladly recommend it to others who value quiet performance and a sleek, counter-depth look. A few small refinements to the ice system and door alignment process would make it perfect.

Replaces my old one because of ice dispenser

I like all the features and placement of storage.there is some coiled tubing in the lower inside bank and I inquired about whether it should stay there. If a response was sent, I don’t see that I received it. The acrylic shelves look like they could crack easily but it seems all refrigerators are that way today. This is my second Kitchenaid which replaces my old one. Wish the ice dispenser lasted as long as the fridge!

This KitchenAid fridge is large, modern, and easy to use. We use it as our secondary fridge in the garage. I love the large handles, and the notification that pops up on the fridge door whenever a door is left open. The ice machine is fast and dispenses well. Lots of storage compartments and shelves to sort food. It does exactly what you need things to - keep things cold. Highly recommend.

Quiet, cold, lots of space, and installation was easy. Side by side means low maintenance compared to my old french door that kept having icing issues. Because of its low nose I expect it to be energy efficient. Can't hear any compressor just really quiet fans. Love it so far!

Top notch refridgerator! It has large capacity for all grocery needs with adjustable shelves to fit everything! I especially love the wood sliding drawer and humidity controlled crisper for fruits and vegetables! Before this refridgerator, I had the freezer on the bottom. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the side by side doors but I love it! The water and ice maker are also very nice, especially because the ice maker is removable! The LED interior also adds luxury to the refridgerator. This is a really great refridgerator, and I will recommend it to everyone! I received this product complimentary for review.

I am impressed with this refrigerator's capacity and functionality. It has a "clean" look to it and lots of smart features such as the pull-out cold-cut drawer, which was unexpected but very useful. Illumination is very good and the fridge seems to be extremely efficient. I love the look of the two doors and the handles are particularly substantial--the ribbing makes for an easy grip. I also really like the self-closing function, which many other models did not offer. The layout of the inside is well-planned, with precise areas for eggs, tall bottles and larger containers. Overall, I am thoroughly happy with this purchase!

Enjoying my new Fridge

I have enjoyed my KitchenAid refrigerator. Even though I chose a countertop depth model, the inside has plenty of space. It's nice and bright and its easy to see everything. My only complaint is at first I thought it was a little noisy, but I've gotten used to it and decided this is not a reason to deduct any stars. Would buy again!

Solid purchase

This unit so far has been well worth it. Even though this is on the smaller size, it really doesn't seem like it. We find it has plenty of room for all our our needs. It keeps everthing nice and cold, although some items do get colder than others on certain shelves or locations. This isn't a bad thing, just something we have to keep in mind when storing items. There is plenty of light no matter how much we pack into it. The ice maker keeps up with all of our needs, however it's a bit loud when dispensing water to fill the tray. The water comes out at a slower rate than I would like when filling a glass. The auto fill is a nice feature if you are not in a hurry. We were worried the exterior would show fingerprints, but I have yet to notice any worth mentioning. Overall the unit is fairly quiet, at times it can produce a loud hum. I haven't pinpointed it this is only occurring during certain cycles or not. The front handles do not match up even though the doors do. I've tried to move them slightly, but it doesn't seem to help much. Not a deal breaker, but I would expect more of an adjustable design. Overall we are pleased with our purchase and happy we went with this unit. Just pointing out some little items for anyone else looking at purchasing this unit.

Overall we are very pleased with this refrigerator. Pros - perfect counter depth for our smaller kitchen; attractive handles that do not show finger prints, plus are easy to grip; pull-out shelf is very handy; relatively quiet operation; pyramid shape ice cubes (much better in a small glass than crescent shape); and measured fill water option (perfect for coffee maker). Cons - refrigerator shelves are fixed which limits where to store taller items like milk and cream (I prefer not to store dairy in the door where it’s more likely to be warm and spoil); only one drawer has humidity control for produce.

A Piece of Art

The refrigerator is a piece of art. I love the color and the look of the counter depth in a kitchen. The capacity is different than a standard refrigerator . You are giving up space to shove items in the back of the shelves. I was concerned prior to buying that I would miss the extra space. I have found that we keep it organized and cleaned out. I give this item a five star. If I could make one change on the design it would be to make a shelf that was taller or you could have the option to move it.

We’ve had the fridge for about 9 months. This inside is nice and bright and has lights that allow you to see everything. I like that the ice bin is on the door so the whole side of the freezer is available for food items. It’s a bit smaller than I expected but it’s counter depth so I should have expected that. We had an issue that’s apparently an ongoing problem with the ice maker. It was annoying but KitchenAid did cover it under warranty and replaced the part. The water filter also needs to be replaced frequently and slows way down when it needs to be replaced. Our last one only lasted a month so that’s annoying and gets expensive. Overall pretty happy.

While the actual cubic area is smaller than my last refrigerator, this KitchenAid has way more capacity than my last one, particularly on the door shelves. I used to have to put a lot of things on the interior shelves, but now all those things (sauces, dressings, jellies, etc.) all fit nicely in the door. Similarly, we found the same additional space in the freezer due to the way the ice maker fits and doesn't take up as much space as in our last frig. We love the look of it despite it costing more than the comparable Whirlpool version -- and are thrilled we made that choice. It's sleek and expensive looking and functions perfectly.

Overall, a sleek, high-end looking refrigerator that performs well so far. The exterior water dispenser works well and can be programmed to fill water bottles with a precise amount, which is both convenient and efficient. Ice production took about 24 hours to fully replenish from empty. The interior has a premium appearance, is well lit, and makes it easy to see contents at a glance. From an ergonomic standpoint, frequently used items are easy to access, and the adjustable door bins help maximize storage efficiency. However, the overall interior capacity feels somewhat limited, and the main shelves are stationary, which reduces flexibility when storing taller or oddly shaped items. The adjustable door shelving is a nice feature and helps compensate for the lack of shelf customization inside the main compartment.

Bought this refrigerator a few months ago and it has been a great upgrade from my previous one. I was looking for a high-quality counter depth side-by-side refrigerator, which turns out is hard to find. Was glad to find a KitchenAid! The guys who delivered it were great and I have had no issues since it has been installed. Would definitely recommend. After much research, I finally ordered this refrigerator. I could not be more pleased with it! I love everything about it. It has a modern sleek look . It has good capacity with the door shelves larger than normal, and the frig shelves set back making for easier access to items. My favorite thing is the ice maker, also the measured fill for water. The wooden shelf, gray interior and lighting are very nice touches.

I bought this sight unseen except in a picture. I knew I wated a Kitchen Aid however I thought my Maytag was on the frizz after 5 years. Wrong it was working fine but had already decided on the Kitchen Aid and it was a great fit and in stock, I was desperate as I lost a lot of food and had to make a decision to keep the order or cancel. Since I had lost some trust that the Maytag was fixed I went with the Kitchen Aid. While I didn’t need the added expense I am extremely happy with my purchase. It is the same size as the old one but seems much bigger and has plenty of door and shelf space. Freezer as well Easier to see where everything is. Lighting is beautiful and illuminates your shelving so you can see everything.

This is our third kitchen aid frig. The company has been very supportive as we have had to replace the first two ( free of charge) due to performance issues and well the new one arrived and the water pump did not work and had to be replaced. Perhaps greater focus on quality control needed

I bought this refrigerator to replace an older KA unit. So far I love this but I am disappointed in the water dispenser. The older unit allowed for custom water volume - for example, 5 or 7 ounces, etc. This one seems to have only 8, 16 and 24 ounces.

Great value - assembly quality an issue, noisy

For the money, the refrigerator is spacious and works well so far. The part for the air filter cover/door was installed incorrectly at the factory and is warped to the point that the filter door will not close. I am having to get it replaced on warranty which is disappointing for a new refrigerator. It is louder than my 23 year refrigerator which is also disappointing, but it very well.

Works great and great looking. We used to have an exterior water dispenser, I wish I had that back as any spills with interior are very difficult to clean. The only real issue is the ice maker. It over produces and then when you open freezer drawer it pulls the ice behind the drawer which is inconvenient to clean up.

Squeaky Door Hinge

A little less room. Do like the handles. Ribbed so they will not scratch. Freezer space the same. Hope the paddles don’t go out. We had to replace one on our old one. The open drawer is handy for breads. For 2 it is ok. Not for a family. The motor is noisy on this model. We got the 3 yr extra warranty. I just did not like the Whirlpool & my appliance repairman told me to buy it vs. other brands.

Everything great except the water dispenser

The fridge is great, after testing various temp settings we found 38 works, doesn’t freeze eggs in the fridge, but stays cold enough for food safety. Unfortunately the water dispenser water comes out nearly room temp. Lucky there’s an ice dispenser next to it, but wish the water came out cold.

Not as good as the previous one

bought this a month ago and am disappointed at some of the changes made compared to my last one. The shelves in the refrigerator are no longer adjustable, there is no butter keeper, a drawer that does not work smoothly no matter how often I try to reset it.

Nice side by side counter depth fridge

We bought about 1 month ago. so far we like it overall. I’m disappointed that the water doesn’t come out cold immediately, so basically the first gas is room temperature. I’m not used to that so I guess I will need to get used to adding ice. The drawers are a little sticky from friction of plastic on plastic so that they don’t feel smooth. Overall a good fridge that we hope will last us for a long time.

This refrigerator has been an excellent purchase, and I am extremely pleased with its performance. I have received multiple compliments, particularly regarding the interior lighting and the wood drawer, which guests find impressive. The only minor challenge has been the ice bin, as it can sometimes be difficult to close—possibly due to user error. Overall, the refrigerator is exceptional, ideally sized for my kitchen, and greatly enhances both the functionality and aesthetic of the space.

Perfect for our space

So far we like the refrigerator a lot. The counter depth really adds space back a lot more than I expected. The only disappointing thing is the cold water dispenser. The first cup comes out room temperature so if you just want a sip of cold water you’re not going to get it. Even after the first cup it doesn’t come out cold. It’s more just cool.

Sexy Refrigerator

This refrigerator is a surprise. I’ll begin by saying a side by side wasn’t my first choice but I could accommodate nothing larger. It is a bit shallow. If I had been the designer, I’d have cheated the counter depth allowance by a few inches to get slightly more capacity. However, the refrigerator section is amazing. First, the interior color and lighting is beautiful and sexy. Looks like a nightclub. The entire door is lined with shelves which makes organizing amazing. The shelves are left for items that truly won’t fit on narrow shelves. The freezer section however isn’t nearly as well thought out. The shelves are shallow. I bought plastic boxes to help organize the contents. This refrigerator should have come with bins that were made to fit the appliance. And the door shelves are almost useless. They’re so small and being stationary, almost unusable. The star ratings below are uncertain. I’ve only owned this unit for two weeks. They should ask again in a year!.

Nice Counter Depth Refrigerator

I bought this side-by-side refrigerator last month and and so far I’m very happy with it. It’s extremely quiet and well lit has plenty room for my grocery needs. The only drawback to it is that the control panel on the front seems a little cheaply made and the water dispenser is slow to dispense water compared to my older refrigerator Beautiful refrigerator overall.

We like the way it looks with the squared-off handles and a little bit of curve across the front. It's quiet. It's easy to keep clean. We like that the water dispenser and ice dispenser are two separate spouts. We love the auto-fill feature of the water dispenser (put your glass underneath, press the button once, and 8 ounces is dispensed). The only negative is the rear back side of the top shelf tends to be colder and some things will be slightly frozen when placed there.

Too soon to tell

I purchased this refrigerator in late October. I really like the size. The fact that the shelves aren’t adjustable doesn’t bother me. The freezer door squeaks when opened. We have done the suggested “fixed”, but still squeaks. We will be getting a replacement refrigerator, same model. Hoping that this one doesn’t squeak.

Upgrade from old KitchenAid side-by-side

We replaced an older KitchenAid side by side that was close to 20 years old. I really wanted a french door with bottom freezer but I just don't trust anyone's in door ice maker as your going to fight a losing battle with trying to make ice inside the fridge. Regardless, I was really happy with sticking with this side by side and the amount of room I gained over the old model was impressive while being about 1 inch less in depth. So far we haven't run out of ice and we really like the updated platinum interior versus the old white. The only complaint is that this fridge is a bit louder than the older one. Not annoyingly loud, but I notice it. So far, this has been a great upgrade!

An Overall Good Refrigerator

We bought this a month ago and we're content. We wanted a counter depth appliance and this unit checks that box. The side-by-side doors offers convenient access to both cold and frozen foods without having to bend over to pull out some drawer. The storage capacity is less than similarly priced units due to the counter-depth profile. The unit has a water filter/ice maker in the left door. It has its own filter which is unnecessary in our case since it's connected to our reverse osmosis system. Food, especially vegetables, can freeze if placed on the top shelf. The manual points this out but who reads the manual before buying? It's an overall good fridge but there are better options out there if you're not too concerned about the counter-depth feature.

Noisey fridge

Noisier than our last one which only lasted eight years! Water dispenser is hard to engage and makes a terrible noise when it is released. Small but we had to have counter depth. Not sure about the variable speed compressor that reduced speed or cuts off when door opens as makes me wonder if this fridge will last less than the last one.

If I were to change anything, it would be to have additional baskets in the freezer rather than shelves. Baskets are easier to just pull out and find items.

Love it!! Had trouble finding a replacement the same size when our old KitchenAid faltered, but fortunately there was a new KitchenAid that fit, and the price was very reasonable. My entire kitchen is KitchenAid, and I have been very happy with their performance. My old fridge worked fine, but issues with the ice maker wore us down. As many years as we had it, we weren’t disappointed with the brand, but the fact that we are constant ice hounds. If only everything lasted that long with constant use. I would highly recommend.

Good side-by-side fridge

My last refrigerator was a Kitchenaid, which I had for 15 years. I really like a side-by-side refrigerator and was delighted to find that Kitchenaid still made one. The freezer provides lots of storage space, much more than the drawer on the bottom - and "bonus" you can find things. I used to refer to the freezer on the bottom of my old fridge as the appliance equivalent to a children's toy box, whatever you wanted was on the bottom! The ice and water in the door are great, the quantity of ice in the storage bin is terrific. On the fridge side there is lots of storage on the, the shelves are easy to clean and 3 crisper drawers is very useful. The only drawback for this fridge is that it is a little noisier than my last one. Overall a good fridge and I am glad I purchased it.

Wish it had adjustable shelf height

Replaced our 15 year-old KitchenAid with a similar model Well, this one has updated features, The icemaker and cubes are smaller Has fixed shelves that cannot be adjusted. I would recommend Bryce is molded into the sides of the refrigerator that allow the shelf height to be adjusted. Each of the shelves below the top shelf is the same height. Additionally, having two filters mounted in the top space limits the number of large drink items that will fit there. Glad we kept our old one in the garage!

We really like our new refrigerator. The only part that we do not like is the water dispenser is a little odd. Meaning you have to press the glass hard near the top of the pad. Normally you just put your glass against the pad and water comes out. With this one you have to press hard with the glass on an angle.

Organized freezer & fresh water for small family

This refrigerator holds consistent 36-37ºF temp (manual thermometer monitored 3-weeks), returns to set temp rapidly after loading, balances cold air well between refrigerator & freezer compartments, and has easy set temp control. First counter-depth side-by-side after decades of bottom freezer French-door models. The asymmetric door opening radius solved a kitchen traffic problem. USA manufactured. So far, so good. IMO, this capacity is ideal for empty nesters or family of three. Maybe family of four. Larger capacity recommended for an active family of four or more. YMMV. While KitchenAid doesn’t publish cu. ft. compartment capacity, I feel this offers relatively larger freezer capacity as a percentage of it total cu. ft. than comparable capacity French-door bottom freezer model. IMO, this side freezer offers better more functional organized space than a larger bottom bin model. Refrigerator offers comparably smaller volume as percentage of total volume, with less adjustable shelving & drawer capacity than a French-door bottom freezer model of same volume. If the buyer is a freezer using family, this model may be ideal, YMMV. Dispensed charcoal-filtered water & ice offers surprising clean fresh taste. Filter produces better quality water than our dual-charcoal filter sink dispenser. We prefer KitchenAid’s distinctive knurled tubular handles. This refrigerator completes 3rd KitchenAid major appliance replacement/upgrade, creating consistent kitchen appearance started a few years ago with KitchenAid dishwasher that has run quiet and reliably.

I like the new side-by-side refrigerator. It looks great and it keeps things cold as expected. The controls on the front of the freezer part are easy to use. I just wish the upper shelves were adjustable. There doesn't seem to be as much storage space nor do the doors open quite as wide to clean and remove racks as my former SxS in the same space. I have also had some issues with things freezing on the refrigerator side. I moved stuff from the sides and changed the temp but then, even less space is available as a result.

Handsome refrigerator

This was a replacement for the same refrigerator that was 18 yo. It was actually still working but it seemed like it was time to make a proactive purchase. This is a great side by side. My complaints are relatively minor. The old refrigerator had the temperature inside and told you the actual temperature of the refrigerator and freezer. The new unit had the temperature on the outside and only tells you the desired temperature. The old model told you how many ounces of water was being dispensed as you were filling the container. The new model has some complicated feature to set a set amount to be dispensed. Not useful to me so I gave up trying to figure out the settings. Lastly, the old unit had several drawers in the freezer; the new one has one and shelves. I find the shelves a messier way to store things. All said, I am very happy with the refrigerator. I just wish that they hadn’t messed with success!

The shelves inside are sturdy and practical and the lights, along with the stainless steel interior, are very soft on the eyes. The interior, removable wooden “serving” tray is lovely and very useful. Many great features!

Don't let the smaller size fool you, the way it was designed is truly impressive and exceptional, we don't experience the feelings of moving down from a larger refrigerator to a smaller one, again due to the ingenious design. Overall we're happy with our side-by-side refrigerator with a couple exceptions. -The wheels don't lock and if you open one of the doors without pushing against the other one, the whole refrigerator pulls out. Is there a lock somewhere that we or our installer don't know about? -The ice dispenser is unbelievably loud when ice is dispensed. Is this normal or is something wrong with it? -We could use one more bin in the refrigerator door.

Nice looking fridge

We like the aesthetics and lighting inside the fridge. The glass shelves and door bins her a nice touch. The freezer seems bigger than her old model which was similar but from Kenmore. We like the ice cube shape in size, smaller pyramids versus half rounds that we used to have. However, the switch to turn the icemaker on and off is very inconvenient and should be repositioned on future Models. The counter, death design and lower height, make it a perfect fit for a limited space under a cabinet. It was difficult to find any fridge that would fit our situation, but this one did.

I would have given it a 5 star rating but disappointed that the shelves are not adjustable in the refrigerator section or the freezer. At least you can adjust the shelves on the door. Another feature I'm not thrilled about is the fact that you have to remove the ice bin in order to get to the on/off switch for ice making. Other than that I am very pleased with my purchase. When all is said and done I know I will adjust. Love the lighting inside and love the handles. It also holds the temperature inside refrigerator and freezer beautifully. Had a KitchenAid refrigerator for the last 18 years and hope this one lasts just as long.

Third time a winner!

I have a huge island in my kitchen that has prevented me from having a French drawer refrigerator so I can only use a side-by-side. My first was an LG. Bad decision! Only lasted four years. My second was a Whirlpool. A great fridge for 8 years then the ice maker went out. Too expensive to repair but I love the design. I went searching for a new fridge and found the Kitchenaid that is basically identical except for internal upgrades and different door handles. I LOVE this fridge! It has panoramic lighting inside. Such a great feature. No dark spots inside either side of the fridge. I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher, microwave and wall oven. All are excellent so I expect my new fridge to be with me for a long time! Great appliance!

Inconvenient

The Kitchenaid this replaced was better. New one has no drawers in the freezer . I had to buy plastic bins. There are no adjustable shelves in the refrigerator, and only the top shelf is tall enough for large items, so heaviest things have to go up high! I guess I’ll have to remove a shelf to put in the Thanksgiving turkey. I gave it 3 stars because it does maintain temperature.

I own a 2 family and live in one apartment. My kitchen is next to my bedroom, and my bed is less than 20 feet from this fridge. It’s so loud, it wakes me all hours of the night with its whirring, buzzing, grinding, and ice dropping. I just bought this fridge, and it’s ruining my sleep. I have to sleep with earplugs in, which I don’t like, because then I can’t hear if my 9 year old has a problem at night. This thing is a danger to my health and my family. Also, the water dispenser is insanely slow! I have never seen such a slow water dispenser in my life! It can take a minute to fill an 8 ounce cup!

Almost perfect

We actually bought and returned to other fridges before finally settling on this one. We’ve had our last side-by-side for over 20 years, but decided to try other configurations. We ran back to the side-by-side. Two reasons this one isn’t perfect. Number one it can be a little noisy. Number two there is clearly the guides in the freezer for another shelf, but no shelf. After tons of research, I have discovered that is the way it’s manufactured. It’s ridiculously silly. I have tried to buy the parts through a few different places, including whirlpool/KitchenAid with no luck. Now I will be going to my local glass store to see if they can help.

We are not unhappy with our new refrigerator but I give it only three stars. While similar to the one we had to replace, size, side by side, water and ice in the door, some features were lost. We lost a drawer in the freezer which is not life changing but still. There is not counting forward on the water dispenser. It has measured fills of 8, 16, 24 ounces but I would rather watch it count until I reach my own number. Again, just a change that we eventually get used to. It would be better if I could do a review iin a year.

Good but not great

Kitchen Aid is noisier than the Maytag it replaced. Ice maker is louder than expected. It has several nice features to include an air filter (which didn’t come with it so It will have to be purchased), and a pre-measured fill on the water dispenser. Counter depth is tight on interior space, but that’s to be expected. Overall quality is nicer than Whirlpool model and due to Labor Day sales we got it for the same price as the Whirlpool model normally costs.

freezer needs another bin/drawer. temp control only shows setpoints and not the actual temp. did not come with bin for eggs. dispensed water is not chilled. don't like when light goes off after dispensing water or ice. old kitchen aid was by far better, don't like paying more and getting less!

Doesn’t match my other KitchenAid stainless steel

It doesn’t have the exact same finish as my other stainless steel KitchenAid appliances. It’s more of a matte finish and everything else has more sheen. That’s the only thing I don’t really care for.

Design nice, dispensing water very loud

So far I give it a 3. I love the design and that it doesn't extend beyond counter. Problem so far is the extreme noise when dispensing water. Its not normal and sounds throughout the house and they are looking to replace solenoid valve. I had a whirlpool before who did not have this noise. Second, I notice light frost at times in freezer. Have very few items in it and dont open it that often.

Love the look of the fridge, and it is indeed keeping items cold. The “fit & finish” needs improvement, though. The doors are misaligned/not even. The measured fill for water dispenser doesn’t work correctly - 24 ounces only dispenses 14 ounces, etc.

Water line extremely slow! Shelf placement limited

I ordered replacement Kitchen Aid frig same brand as my 16 year old frig water in the door, counter depth sight unseen. I never imagined how BAD the capacity, limited shelf placement on frig side, & super slow water from the external water source on door. We’ve had a plumber out twice confirming our water line is not clogged. The options for larger shelf space is nill! I’m so disappointed.

Serious problem after 10 days

10 days after delivery, we woke up to a frozen water line/won’t dispense water. After troubleshooting (ultimately unplugging unit for an hour), water dispensed again…only to wake up to the same problem the next morning. (Refrigerator set to 38°, freezer 0°, filter properly installed, water line properly installed etc). We are so incredibly disappointed because we invested in a KitchenAid to replace our previous refrigerator.

Replacement for old fridge

The ONLY reason I purchased a Kitchenaid to begin with was because they offered stainless black steel which I love. I had nothing but trouble for the 8 years I owned it. I finally replaced it but had to order Kitchenaid again because it had to fit in the built in space. Also it had to match my double oven which is also Kitchenaid. Well...they no longer make black stainless steel so I had to get regular stainless steel and then it did not match my perfectly good double oven which is black stainless steel so I had to replace my double oven with a stainless steel so it would match my new refrigerator. I've only had the new one for a month.....so the jury is still out.....will this one give me the same issues my last one did? It remains to be seen.

Under whelming refrigerator for the money

Not the best refrigerator I've ever owned. It is the first KitchenAid I've purchased. Exterior dimensions are the same as my previous refrigerator, yet the inside dimensions are 4 cubic feet smaller. Noisy ice maker and water dispenser after use there is a high pitched sound for a while. There doesn't seem to be much insulation around the unit. Because the angled tray for the ice and water dispenser is made on a curved angle to fit the curved door it looks like it was made incorrectly. I could have been a straight cut across the water tray. Plastic on the air filter door is warped and doesn't close properly. Seal around the water filter was not installed correctly and curles up in some areas. Removed the rolling tray as it limits storage. Even with the tray removed the brackets roller brackets on the side still reduce the amount of usable space. Limited shelf brackets, not many options for shelf height. No shelf that slides half way back for tall items. No wine or water bottle rack. Bring back a straight door the curved takes up more space in the room. Only 1 freezer drawer, it's not square and is open at the top of the front side, limiting what can be stored. My advice, keep looking.

Brand new fridge with ice maker that does not work

Order it in July we were moving to new construction in December Fridge was not to be seen. For some unknown reason it came in after we found one at another store but it came and ice maker did not work It’s January and still no ice maker

The freezer and some refrigerator shelves do not fit properly, they are to lose! Also, the water dispenser is not easy to use, the lever to dispense the water is too sensitive you have to push on just in the right spot even though it's a long lever

Only Price is Premium

Replaced all old KitchenAid kitchen appliances 2 months ago. Thought I was getting premium quality for the premium price. I was wrong. Doors are uneven, interior shelves, trays, etc. all thin cheap plastic. Regret my purchase. Definitely NOT worth the premium price.

The refrigerator aesthetically is very nice. I returned the first one as it had a loud continuous humming. I received a new refrigerator on Saturday Nov 8 and first pull out drawer is stuck and takes great force to pull out. Refrigerator still has a slight humming and was told would have to get a service person to come out. I had it a week hoping it would get quieter. Unfortunately it hasn’t now in the process to shop for a different brand. I’m disappointed that the refrigerator is not working out.

Not the best

This is the only refrigerator we could buy to fit our pace and it was replacing another KitchenAid. This one is SO much smaller. The refrigerator wall that shares the freezer freezes everything. Overall the quality went downhill. I'm so disappointed.

Too Much Plastic, Too Little Space

Too much plastic, too little space. I’d looked at side-by-side for several years. Initially this KitchenAid side-by-side looked modern, sleek with some eye catching features like the automatic dimming interior lights. It seemed to be the right refrigerator for me. But reality is different than a look in a store. Some of the drawers are only half drawers. The interior main shelves can’t be adjusted & neither the refrigerator nor freezer have enough storage for single person. Lastly it seems to have a sleek modern look but all those pieces are not a nice metal but coded plastic. Disappointed in KitchenAid for the lack of substantial interior materials. I’m afraid it’s a fail.

Disappointed

Ice and water feature require to much pressure to operate. Need to hold cup up to highest point before either function turns on. Also, the refrigerator is very noisy. It is a constant source of all noise in the kitchen and family rooms. Most of noise is from the ice maker.
