Lots of space and easy to keep organized

Plenty of room inside, and the layout works really well for us. Both the fridge and freezer are easy to organize, with well-placed shelves and compartments. My wife especially likes that fingerprints don’t show on the outside. The only issue we’ve noticed is that the water and ice dispenser drips a little, leaving some water in the tray. Other than that, everything has worked great.

Very nice fridge!

I really like this fridge! It seems to hold everything and you can rearrange the shelves easily for those oversized items. It stays super cold too. I like the side door with the drink storage area, it’s right by the ice machine so it’s very cold. I do wish the ice machine held more ice. The water machine is so cool, it tells you the ounces as you pour. The doors can be kind of tricky sometimes to close and you have to make sure it’s shut, same goes with the freezer door. We overall love this fridge and we use the app it came with.

Good Looking, No Prints, Great Size

This is a very attractive and adjustable refrigerator to accommodate many different sized things. The lighting is excellent with the see through shelves to find items. The finish on the exterior is superb and doesn’t show finger prints. I love the outside water and ice dispenser, the display tells how many ounces are dispensed which is excellent for precise measuring. It is very energy efficient also. I really like having the freezer on the bottom which has two drawers that easily slide out with nice compartments. This refrigerator isn’t as deep as our old one but accommodates everything just fine. This is a very nice counter depth refrigerator and I highly recommend it.

Love this refrigerator!

I can’t say enough good things about this fridge! It has some removable shelves so you can customize the layout. The ice maker in the door is tucked away nicely and doesn’t take up a lot of space. The front water dispenser allows you set how many ounces of water it dispenses and then counts down as water is dispensed into your cup. The freezer is spacious and designed well. It even has a pizza compartment! Easy to set temperatures for fridge and freezer. Love this refrigerator!

This fridge looks very sleek and has nice features! One that’s particularly wonderful is the fridges ability to measure out specific ounces of water or tell you how many ounces you manually received. The only con is that the deli drawer has a defect. It is either too small or the rollers are not big enough. Either way, it gets jammed and is difficult to open and close.

Good storage space, magnetic freezer door!

I really like my Whirlpool fridge. It has plenty of space for both the fridge and freezer sections, which makes it very convenient for storage. The freezer door has a magnetic seal that helps keep it closed securely. The only minor issue is that the left door makes a small noise when closing, but overall, everything works great and the performance has been excellent.

Really enjoy the set up of the shelving, family think the pizza storage area is a big plus! The easy access drawer was a smart idea that works. Temperature monitoring system is helpful as is the door ajar feature. We have found that does get triggered fairly routinely when the right side of fridge door accessed. It is occasionally hard to close.

Overall Excellent Craft and Quality

We have owned a number of refrigerators. We have had issues with all of them outside of Whirlpool. In fact, our last service person told us to go back to Whirlpool after the compressor went out on our last fridge. This new Whirlpool is a dream. The cooling was fast right away and we love how you can modify the temperature for the different areas. Being that this is a counter depth size, the capacity feels much more spacious that we thought it would. I am also obsessed with the number of drawers and the pull out try where we keep are most often used milks and creamers. Overall great fridge!!!

The unit seems to work just fine. I am disappointed in how limited the freezer section really is. My last frig had magnetic doors, but on this one you have be be very sure that the doors are completely closed. Although advertized as counter depth, it is still protrudes beyond the counter.

My best refrigerator yet!

Pro's - Consistently keeps food at the proper temperature as it should. - It makes ice in a quick fashion (much faster than my previous refrigerator) - It has great size door bins. Door bins are better for small items such as condiments and juice boxes. - The large drawer for large items (IE: 2-quart and gallon containers) is fantastic for organization and storage. - The ports for the cool air (in the upper portion) are in the front as well as in the back. That my be why it consistently keeps food at the proper temperature. Cons - The upper doors won't stay open (when trying to put larger dishes that require two hands in) the doors close. Not all the way closed, but very difficult when using with these dishes and pans. Imagine trying to hose dinner parties or Holidays. A simple door check would be an improvement. That's it. The only complaint I have about this unit are that the doors aren't designed for a cook.

After 25 years, excited to have a new refrigerator, but things i would change on the new one: the door seems to not shut very good, and happens often to where the alarm goes off; the drawer pulls are upside down or in the wrong location. Having trouble getting use to opening both doors for access.

The overall refrigerator is nice, plenty of space for food. The only drawback is the ice maker is really slow at making ice. I've had it since July 25th and as of today's date it is August 20th. The ice bucket has yet to get past the 1/4 mark.

I love this fridge. It has many shelves and side pockets. The 2 drawers are a really nice size - celery actually fits in lenghwise. I also use one of the drawers to store my eggs and butter. The pocket by the ice maker is great - whatever you put in it stays really cold and fresh. The ice make is smaller than I would like but since the freezer is a good size, I bought a storage container and just dump ice in there while another batch is making.

Whirlpool's New Refrigerator Features Are Amazing!

1) The stainless cabinet is easy to clean and hides the condenser coil so it saves space, saves energy by no longer needing a fan, and most of all doesn't need the coils cleaned semiannually! 2) The in-the-door ice maker mimics a side by side for up top convenience, and its exhaust is perfect for keeping a couple of mugs ice cold without opening the freezer. 3) The cold water dispenser is located in the door along side the ice maker, and the water is instantly ice cold. 4) The boxed item pocket in the freezer door is ideal for convenient access of slim boxed food items and to prevent crushing under heavy frozen items. 5) The only feature I couldn't find from any manufacturer is an UV light source in the meat and dairy drawers that would extend their usable life by preventing mold and other microbes from growing.

Our prior refrigerator was deeper but this one seems to hold more? And everything is more visible and easy to get to. The pull out drawer for tall bottles and milk is great! And the 2 separate push tabs for water and ice is such a great idea! You don’t need your glasses to know which is water and which is ice! This is a great refrigerator in many ways s!

Technically would give this 4.5/5 stars. Functionality is great! No issues with cooling at all. The ice dispenser is a bit awkward too access, but not a huge deal. I appreciate the multiple drawers and door shelves. I didn't think I would use the pull out jug drawer, but we use it all the time. I wish it had space for 2 milk jugs, but we make due. My biggest complaint is that to get into the left side drawers you have to open both doors. I wish they had designed so you only have to open the door on the side you need access to. Not a deal breaker, but something I wasn't aware of before buying. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend, as long as you're aware of the minor inconveniences.

Great Layout/Performance, But Materials Feel Cheap

I've been happy overall with this refrigerator, but there are a few areas where it falls short. The biggest disappointment is the quality of some of the interior components. The plastic shelves, bins, and trim pieces feel noticeably thinner and less durable than previous generations. Some parts are flexible to the point where they seem like they could crack or break if handled roughly. That said, the refrigerator itself is very functional. The layout is excellent, making it easy to organize food and maximize the available space. The French door design is convenient, and everything is easy to access. Another frustration is the user interface. Several functions require button combinations that aren't clearly labeled on the control panel. For example, after replacing the water filter, resetting the filter alert requires holding specific buttons, which isn't obvious without consulting the manual. Small things like that make the experience less intuitive than it should be. Performance is strong overall. Cooling is consistent, the water and ice dispenser works well, and storage capacity is more than adequate for our needs. The doors feel a little lighter than expected, but they're still solid, and the stainless steel finish looks nice, although it does seem prone to scratching. Noise levels are generally low, but the refrigerator does make occasional grumbling sounds, especially during ice production. Overall, it's a good refrigerator with excellent space, cooling performance, and organization. I just wish the interior materials felt more robust and the controls were more user-friendly.

Solid Fridge

Excellent refrigerator. Good capacity. Freezer is less so with various sliding drawers needing to be carefully packed to avoid obstructions. Very quiet compared to previous refrigerators (the only sound is ice falling into container every once in a while. I was surprised at how much we could fit into the refrigerator (with part of one door sacrificing shelves for the ice maker. One improvement would be to make slide out drawers more narrow so that both doors do NOT have to be open to slide the drawers out. We like the on-line capability though of course we do not really use the temp online adjustments. The most useful will be the notification of a partially open door if, God forbid, that ever happens. Ice dispensing is clean and quick although we did buy an insert to absorb any water spillage in the tray in the door (probably should be included as spillage would otherwise be a weakness). No evidence of hotspots in fridge or freezer regardless of how long we keep the doors open to take out or put in food.

All works great except ice maker shoot is defective. Repair came out and model is so new the part is going to take time to be replaced. In the meantime we don’t use the ice maker in the doo. It makes ice and we dump it in the bottom freezer or it will clog and shoot everywhere when dislodging it.

Like my new Stainless Steel Whirlpool Refrigerator

I really like my new Whirlpool refrigerator. I purchased the stainless steel color and I especially like the no fingerprint feature. The only thing I don't particularry like is the cold setting for the freezer which you can only up the temperature to 5 degrees. It hard freezes everything a bit too much for my liking. Overall, it is a really nice refrigerator.

Great refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator to replace another brand that could not keep consistent temperature. It has worked well. It also fits well into a tight space with a wall beside it. The door that open without sticking out the side are great. Periodically , after getting ice from the door, the icemaker will pop out a single cube. I love the refrigerator and would recommend it to anyone with limited space.

I've only had it for a month but so far, so good. It's only 1 cubic foot bigger than my old frig which was a side by side double door but it seems so much bigger as I use the frig (vs freezer) part more frequently and no longer have to bend down to the floor to get thing out of the frig! And this is a new model and has a separate/higher slide out area for larger containers (milk cartons/wine bottles/etc.)

Everything works well and my only comment would be the right side french door does not close on its own must be pushed shut and the water/ice dispensors are close together and there is a tendency to push the water while you are tying to dispense ice. Otherwise, we are happy with the purchace.

I also like the fact that the ice maker is built into the door and doesn’t take up unnecessary space in the refrigerator. It had a large deli drawer and a quick access drawer for water or soda. I have absolutely no complaints on this model so far and I did my research after this replaced my 21 yo Kenmore refrigerator. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator!

Small and sweet

Nice, but left door needs to be fully open!

I really like the new refrigerator but the left door automatically starts closing unless fully opened. The right door is ok. Can open and it stays put enough to look inside. Just seems odd you need that the doors do not function in the same way to do is just grab something! inside!

I love the way it's organized, with lots of ways to sort stuff out. Fits perfectly in the space, and I like the narrower depth so that it doesn't stick out so far beyond the cabinets. The water dispenser is not dispensing water sometimes, so I need to get that taken care of, but it's a holiday weekend so it's going to have to wait until next week. How responsive they are in getting that fixed will have a lot to do with how I feel afterward.

It has telperature control which makes it very energy efficient — and the best part, it's not noisy like our last one! We love it!

Counter depth, but a few caveats

The unit has been in place now for a month or so. Working fine. Pros: nice deep veggie drawers, two stacked on left side. Ice maker is keeping up with my heavy usage, despite what I've seen in other reviews. Ice and water dispensers flow well. Internal lighting is very good, visibility inside is excellent. Temp is very stable and easy to set with front panel. This fridge is lighter and easier to move than my previous Kenmore product. Absolutely a counter depth unit, fits neatly in my shallow spot. Cons: Compared to the Kenmore, this Whirlpool is a bit lower in quality. Veggie drawers have no sealing parts or temp selectors, deli drawer as well. Slide out storage tray on the right seemed like a good idea, but it doesn't come out far enough to be very useful. You still have to remove front items to get to things in the back. Takes up a lot of space but provides nominal value. Whirlpool should eliminate this and make the shelves more incrementally adjustable. Left side door, with the icemaker, will swing closed on you if you don't prop it open with a drawer. I've checked the level of the fridge, and it's true and flat. Just seems like a design flaw to not have any open door stop positions that would prevent you from getting slammed on the left side. Right door doesn't do this, just the left. Overall I would recommend this unit, but with some caveats. It's not for a 4-5 person home. Works fine for my wife and me. Design and features are a step down from my previous fridge, but acceptable. It is quiet and the control panel is easy to learn. If I had paid the list price, I believe I would have been disappointed. The sale I hit was very good, and lessens my expectations a bit.

Thermostat issues

I love the drawers and bins for organizing and accessibility. The doors are quiet when closing. I like the counter depth and still have plenty of room. Day 5 the water froze, I turned up the temp and by morning we had water on the floor! Right now I have the freezer at +5 and the fridge at 39 trying to keep the temps inside at reasonable temps and not freezing my produce. I'm not happy about the thermostat regulation at all. I don't feel confident my foods are safe especially when gone for the day and can't keep close eye on it. The water and ice are a bit noisy. I have repair coming Monday. Hopefully something can be done. I love the color, stainless black.

Some pros and some cons

Brand-new fridge is nice looking. The binnacles and door-accessible ice compartment are nifty. The layout of the shelves is fine, though they would be a lot better if the ones on one side could be accessed by opening the door on that same side. The workmanship is not nearly as good as it should be -- several of the joints are not flush, so much so that insulation foam is sticking out a bit. And the tube running from the water inlet up to the dispenser is not tied down firmly to the rear panel so it's plainly visible from the side, as though they could only afford to use three little brackets instead of five. And I'll be damned if I can figure out how to turn off the ice maker from the control panel -- the instructions in the manual do not work. Why is there not a simple on/off button there?

I bought this a week ago and already had a repair person out to tell me the computer boards (2) need to be changes the door panes show 2 error codes. He was here 2 days ago and I had to call the repair company and was told they have no idea when these computers components will be in.

It's OK for a rental.... but

We got it for a short term rental. It's fine for that, but given the space of the fridge there is not a whole lot space for jugs of OJ, etc. The drawers are odd opening handles. There are a lot of shelves, but there is not enough room to adjust them to put anything tall on them. The bins on the door should be deeper. I don't think a gallon of milk can fit on them. The tray under the ice maker/water dispenser is plastic and had to remove to clean. The freezer suffers the same issue: Overall it looks spacious, but there is not a whole of room for storage. The ice are the small cubes (I miss large cubes from the past). For the price it is OK, but if I had a family of 4 that had to use this as their every day fridge, I'd say it's not spacious enough.

Poorly designed, the deli slide out drawer feels flimsy . The vegetable drawers are large, but require you to open both doors to access. The ice maker makes noise. Why can’t these things be designed well. Shelves are also flimsy.

Cooling issues

It has been the most horrifying experience of my entire life with Whirlpool.. I bought this appliance on May 31 2026. Today is 8/1/26 and still the fridge does not cool properly to maintain the temperature at 36-37 degrees. Three times a tech company hired by Whirlpool has come to try and fix the fridge. Last time 7/29/26 tech had to order another part. Another 15-20 days to install this piece. I will really appreciate if a Supervisor reaches out to me. Food does not last fresh not even a week. It has been a total waste of money and time. By this time I think somebody should reach out to me to resolve this issue

Inferior model WRFC5036RW

This is a 2026 model, the owners manual for this model # does not match the unit. I can not turn off ice because there is no switch as stated in manual. I can not lock water because there is no LOCK button. If I place produce in the bottom draw it freezes, I keep the temp on 39. The repair guy has been here 3 times and he said with only one condenser this unit is inferior. Forget about calling Whirpool service, they will keep you on hold forever that is why I am trying to get help here.

I have the same experience that another person has that bought this new mode in January. The ice dispenser is HORRIBLE and unfortunately I like ice in my drinks/water!. It freezers up clogging the shoot and then the cubes fall all over the hard wood floor leaving a puddle! The ice crusher barely works as that clogs up as well and just makes a motor roaring sound. I am so disappointed in this as the rest of the frig is nice but this key aspect is really bad. At least once if not twice a week I have to open up the ice dispenser to clear it or try to make it function properly.

Don’t buy

We bought this fridge two months ago and now it has randomly started shooting water out of the water dispenser when you are nowhere near the fridge. Goes off every hour. It Has warped my hardware floors. This refrigerator is complete garbage. Do not buy.

Deli Draw comes off runners

There is a lot to like about this fridge but the deli draw comes off it's runners. I've tried contact customer support but after waiting an age they just transfer you to a switchboard. Sort this out and we'd have a great fridge.

Needs to be recalled

Deli drawer goes off track every time I open and close. This results in the doors of the refrigerator not being able to close because it is sticking out. Clearly a faulty design problem. Do not make this refrigerator your problem.
