A work horse Frigidaire

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Our 20 year old Frigidaire finally gave out. When we moved in in 2004, our Frigidaire from the 1930s. Was still working. There was never any question about what brand to get.

Please note that I bought my new Frigidaire refrigerator 1 MONTH AGO... I'm giving it 5 stars because it fits perfectly in my small office, can accommodate a lot of food, and because I don't anticipate having any issues.

Great Deal, Great Quality, Great Value

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We purchased this fridge for our garage. This fridge has been the perfect fit. It was plug in and go! Very easy to set up and ice cold within hours. Very large maintenance compartment and very nice size freezer. The compartments in the main section are a perfect size for our needs. The stainless steel exterior is gorgeous and it is very easy to clean fingerprints. We are extremely happy with our choice, and for an amazing price!

Good buy

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Our old fridge was only 5 years old so we needed a new one asap. I found this one online and on sale. I love the stainless steel look of it. It is a good fridge. The freezer works excellent, the fridge we had to turn the temperature one setting above the recommended setting because it didn't feel cold enough at the recommended setting other than that it's great. The pull out drawers in the fridge are ok. They aren't on a track they just sit loosely so sometimes it's hard to get them back in.

We have a guest area above our garage. Needed a small fridge that could still fit our needs while we stay here. This fridge is nice looking, runs quiet and does the job! There’s no fancy features or water line… which is why I gave it a 4.

Great "Old Style" Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this Frigidaire Top Freezer model as a 2nd refrigerator for our house and we have it our basement. We needed a 28-inch width unit so that it would fit through the basement doorway. It's been running for several weeks now, and it's very quiet when the compressor is running and so far, it's been keeping the bottom refrigerator portion nice and cold, and it's been keeping the items in the top freezer portion frozen solid with no ice build-up on the walls of the freezer thus far. Last, this model is quite spacious in both the refrigerator portion and the freezer portion for a 28-inch wide refrigerator.

EMan85 · Dec 29, 2025

Great small for space

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Refrigerator looks sleek and is a great fit for a narrow space. There are 2 things I dont like: the crisper drawers are just sitting in the bottom of the fridge without any runners...and the door does not automatically close like my last GE.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this model at a local appliance store that offers repair svc bec this model shows the least need of repair in and out of warranty. That was good enough to make the sale. It has simple, straight forward temp controls and very sturdy shelving. Door shelves hold 150 lbs ea. Plenty of frig and freezer space for 1-3 people. Affordable pricing .

Great straightforward Fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this fridge after having to fix 4x in 3 years another brand of refrigerator that had all the bells and whistles. This Frigidaire has nice glass shelves and it has nice depth. It holds everything you would want for a family in the fridge. We ordered the ice maker which takes up one-third of the freezer and does not make a large volume of ice as other reviewers have mentioned. However we are happy to have it. If you are looking for a solid fridge with not alot of bells and whistles this is a great value.

So far so good

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This refrigerator was bought to fit in a small kitchen space. It is great for a small space where the height and width limits are low. This type of refrigerator makes good use of the limited space, there is quite a bit of room in the main refrigerator compartment. There are three big shelves in the main compartment, and 3 shelves in the door. The refrigerator is also quiet. I don't hear it at all, especially compared to the refrigerator that it replaced. The stainless steel also looks nice and matches with our other appliances.

I've had this for about 2 weeks, and it's been good so far. It keeps everything in the fridge nice and cold, and the freezer keeps everything solid. Finally replaced my 19 year old fridge. This is almost the same configuration, just without a separate deli drawer. The size is just what I need, so nothing goes to waste. The no handle thing is different, but I'm getting used to it. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

We have a refrigerator in the kitchen. But it’s always full as we keep the every day items in it. So we bought a second one for the garage to keep extra vegetables and groceries, drinks etc. as the old refrigerator was not functioning right. The vegetables would all go rot. Small But Mighty

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I love that it works fantastic in my very warm house. Freezes things in back of fridge, but that's okay. I miss my little shelf I had in my other fridge. The butter compartment is a bit small. My one big qualm is I was expecting going from 18.1 cu ft to 18 cu ft losing only a tiny bit of space. I lost 3 inches in width. It is not a true 18 cu ft. Is 17.6. Had I known that, I might have looked for something else. But the price was good and I was desperate. Hope it lasts longer than 3 years.

Nice Basic Frig

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I am enjoying my new refrigerator and so far, all is well. It is very basic, but for me in a one-person household it is great. Excellent capacity both on the door and interior. Very nice looking exterior. I recently had the ice-maker installed, and am not sure about it. Takes up a HUGE amount of space in the freezer, and I'm not sure of the mechanism to stop ice production once the bin is full. Also, the new in package ice-maker came with what looked like pen marks on the bin that would not come off when washed. It appeared new in the package. We shall see.

This is a quality well built refrigerator. I’ve owned mine for 30 days. Works flawlessly. Consistently maintains a temperature of 37° in the refrigerator and 0° in the freezer. Zero problems. I am very pleased with it’s performance. It is a basic unit but what it does it does it does well. When compared to the competition in it’s price range I believe this refrigerator represents outstanding value.

Refrigerator Review

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We are pleased with this refrigerator. We needed a small refrigerator for the space we have and it suits the space well. The bottom half (refrigerator section) has a light in the refrigerator but the freezer section on top does not. Overall we are pleased with the refrigerator as it suits our needs and was reasonably priced.

Quiet and spacious for it’s size

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I purchased this fridge to replace my 25 year old Friidgidaire. They are similar, but the freezer seems larger ( the fridge is taller) and everything seems sturdier. It is extremely quiet and has clean lines. The doors are tightly sealed so it takes a real pull to open them, but that is a minor issue. Frigidaire has always been known for jaunt quality, and this fridge lives up to that reputstion

I wanted a second refrigerator for a backup to my main as well as for the occasional extra space needed. This model works perfectly. No bells or whistles just simple basic refrigeration and freezing. Could not be happier with a very reasonably priced unit that serve my needs.

My refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

So far my new refrigerator has been great. I like that the fact it has two thermostats one for the freezer one for the refrigerator. I wish I did have a meat drawer, but I’m getting by without that sometimes it’s hard to open the door because of the suction after I just finished closing the door so I know it’s pretty airtight there. I think it was a goodbye and I look forward to many years of service my last refrigerator last May 23 years I’m hoping this one comes even better.

We just got this fridge a few days ago as a backup fridge for our basement. Our other fridge is broken and waiting on a repair. Since it was taking longer than I expcected we just decided to get a smaller fridge and a reliable brand as a backup 2nd fridge and it is perfect. Ordered it on Monday afternoon and it was delivered the next morning at 8:00. Perfect size for what we need it for. Also if our almost 7 year old LG fridge breaks again we have this one to use until a new one is purchased. It will be a Frididaire too. This will come in handy for extra food storage during the holidays too.

Generally very nice with one terrible design flaw

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Nice model, all the basics for a good price. HOWEVER, and this is a big however, the design of the freezer is probably the dumbest I have ever seen. ALL of the vents are placed in such a way that no matter what you put in the freezer, however small (or large) it will block AT LEAST one vent? Who does this???? Even the ancient refri/freezer I replaced had the vents in one central pillar at a higher level so they would not get blocked. This one has vents on both top and bottom shelves literally right in the middle of the back wall....you cannot avoid blocking them unless you leave the freezer empty. The dumbest design ever!!!!!

Beba83 · Jan 28, 2025

Very nice and simple.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I have only had it for a few weeks but so far I am pleased with it. I have a small kitchen so that is why I purchased this model. It is probably the quietest refrigerator I have ever had. You can barely hear it when the fan is running. When I read some reviews some customers mentioned water on their floors and it made me nervous. So far I have not had that, or any problems. I like that it is a very simple no frills design and no WIFI is needed. Everything works correctly. I also read that some customers didn't like the way the door closes. The door has a plastic C-ish shaped clip on the hinges and you have to push it past the "hump" and the door closes securely. If you don't push it enough the door stays open and you can see it is still open. I like this design because the C-ish shape clip actually closes the door for you once it is over the "hump". You can't push it too hard and slam the door! or leave it a little open by mistake. I hope this refrigerator continues to work as well for many more years.

DOOR NOT REVERSIBLE AS ADVERTISED

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I purchased this refrigerator for my garage. All parts were included to reverse the door swing. I had everything installed to change the hinge from the right side to the left. The last thing I had to do was to move the "hinge hole sleeve" from the right to the left on the lower door. I removed the hole plug cover but the plastic dummy hinge hole sleeve was not removable. Because it was not removable, I was not able to move the white nylon hinge hole sleeve to the left. I ended up having to re-install all the original pieces for the left hand hinge. I believe a non-reversable door was wrongly installed at the factory. *****Disappointing*******

Sleek

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I like the fridge style and what the inside looks like. The only negative which is a pretty big negative is the door is so low to the ground. When you open it up it catches your toes. I feel like it’s a safety hazard for adults and children. It really does hurt when it catches your toes.

Good Not Great

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

For a low-cost refrigerator, this model is pretty good. There is a lot of storage space and it looks nice. My two complaints with this model are: 1. The freezer and refrigerator doors do not easily shut. There have been times where I swing it and instead of closing it leaves about a 2 inch gap. I have to push the door shut. 2. I had to turn the refrigerator up to the coldest setting possible in order to keep it at 40°. Anything less than that it’s 45 to 50°. Which can contaminate the food.

Basic appliance

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

My white refrigerator freezer runs well and is quiet. When the door is holding a gallon of beverage it tends to be " front heavy" as a door and takes a push to close it. Not having a meat keeper is an inconvenience, but I realize this is a basic model. I do like the streamlined door opening. Little people, grandkids, will not be able to open it.

Freezer temp fluctuates

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I purchased this unit as a spare used for additional food storage. So it mostly sits idles with the doors closed. My freezer tempurature fluctuates significantly between +10 and -20 degrees. Is this normal and expected? I thought freezer temps were supposed to be around 0 degrees.

RonHochh · Feb 19, 2025

Sorry I bought it.

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

I hate this refrigerator. I bought it online without seeing it in person because I was moving and needed a refrigerator in my new residence when I got there. Had I looked at it in person, I would never have bought it. Here's why I despise this refrigerator: 1) The refrigerator door goes all the way down to the floor. There is absolutely NO FOOT ROOM at the bottom of the door! NONE. I have scraped the top of my foot and toes so many times when opening this door because I didn't realize my foot was in the way. That is very painful! Never before have I had a refrigerator that has no foot room at the bottom of the door. There was always several inches of clearance so that it didn't hit a person's feet. I can't imagine why this refrigerator's design was ever changed to go all the way down to the floor. It is a stupid idea. 2) The magnet in this refrigerator's door is way too strong! I have to pull on it with all my might to get the door open, often using both hands, and if my grip slips in the hand indentation my fingernails catch hard, and that really hurts! I've had to pull so hard on the door that I stumble backwards when it still won't open. I tried putting duct tape down the length of both the inside of the door edge and the edge of the refrigerator, hoping that might lessen the magnetic grip, but it did not help at all. 3) The freezer extends too far down into the refrigerator space. This makes it very awkward to see into the refrigerator and get anything out. You have to bend way down to see into the fridge, then bump your head on the freezer door when you back out and stand up. That really hurts! 4) This refrigerator is overly deep. It sticks out over 6 inches past the edge of my counter, which doesn't look good and just makes everything worse. Things get lost at the back of the shelf because its hard to see and get at them. 5) The vegetable bins are almost at floor level, and you have to bend way down to the floor to access them. This is very awkward and inconvenient. There are no guides to hold the bins in place, so they just slide around on the bottom of the fridge. 6) There is no extra bin in the middle of the fridge. Every fridge I've ever had before had this extra bin, and I really miss it. I can't wait to get rid of this refrigerator. It irritates me every single day. I'm hoping to trade it in somewhere, even if I have to replace it with an older one. I have bought many Frigidaire refrigerators in the past and have always been completely satisfied with them. But not this one.
