Didn’t Know I Needed It — Now I Can’t Live Without

I absolutely love this fridge! The standout feature for me — and the reason I chose it — is the convert drawer. I didn’t even know this kind of flexibility existed until I saw it, and now I can’t imagine life without it. Being able to switch it between fridge/snack storage or extra freezer space is such a game changer. It’s one of those features you don’t know you need until you have it, and once you have it - you will never let it go type of thing. The interior space is stunning. There’s so much room that, at first, I thought I had forgotten to buy groceries — everything just fits so easily. I used to constantly struggle with an overstuffed fridge that somehow still felt empty. Now it’s neat, organized, and still has room to spare. I love to make treats for my family, and now I have the space to make some of my favorites, that require being chilled on a cookie sheet, and not have to rearrange anything to do so!! One small note — not a negative, just a suggestion: I really wish the convert drawer came with two dividers instead of just one, or at least had the option to purchase an extra. That would take the functionality to the next level for my needs. I did search the site trying to find one as a replacement part, and didn't find it - kind of hoping I just don't know where to look. Overall, I’m thrilled. It’s beautiful, smart, and incredibly practical. Highly recommend!

I love this refrigerator! So spacious, clean lines, easy loading in your groceries, user-friendly app and control panel...so many awesome features! If you have sensitive ears, the water refilling the ice dispenser is a smidge noisy, but I hardly noticed it after the first week. It wouldn't have dissuaded me from buying it though. I am so glad I bought it!

Ultimate Sleek and Practical Fridge

No more fingerprints on the fridge handles… because this fridge has pocket handles! The hidden handles make the fridge look ultra polished. This fridge is an inch taller than my last LG fridge - I was surprised by how much more space this fridge provided - it is deep, a lot of ample space, the shelves are adjustable so you can arrange it to any height to meet anyone’s needs. There is also an extra drawer that is temperature controlled. Personally, I find that very beneficial. I currently use it as a fridge for drinks but if I need more freezer space, I can just change the temperature and use the drawer in that way. The freezer also has dividers, it makes organizing so much easier. And I really like the fact that the water dispenser is inside the fridge - another hidden gem. It’s so much better than the usual water dispenser placed outside the door (aesthetically not pleasing) which really makes this fridge stand out. Overall, the fridge design is legitimately sleek and modern without sacrificing practicality and convenience. I love!

Perfect addition to my entertainers kitchen!

This standard depth fridge is such a great size -- I've even been able to fit platters and prepped food for having guests over in addition to all of my groceries. I love the convert drawer and use it for canned beverages -- guests always make a beeline for that drawer the minute they come over. And the freezer is roomy and easy to organize. The front of it is extremely chic and modern looking. I thought I would miss handles but I don't at all and got used to it quickly. The water filter and ice cube maker have been working perfectly -- I almost can't keep up with ice cube usage! Set-up and delivery of the fridge was easy. My two small gripes are that when I close the fridge doors my condiments rattle around and that the beverage drawer bottom is not flat so my canned drinks slide around so I've been laying them down instead of standing them up.

We’ve had this fridge for about a month now and really love it. The amount of space and storage inside is fantastic and the fridge is very quiet in operation. My wife is so happy and that makes me happy. I use the inside water dispenser quite a lot, it’s very handy. The soft close doors are a nice bonus. Overall we couldn’t be happier.

Six Months In

(This is a 6 month report.) In the half-year we've owned it, it has been trouble free and quiet -- especially when coompared to the 15-year-old Amana we replaced. Makes ice quickly. There is plenty of storage space in this uint. It's big. The self-closing doors are nice and work much like self-closing cabinet drawers in that you just have to give it a good push to close and it won't slam. Lighting is pretty good as well. Love the middle pantry door. We use it a good deal. The app is very helpful as well. As it was at the six-month mark, I changed the water filter and air filter. One odd thing, the unit came with a water filter to install but not an air filter. I (foolishly) assumed that the air filter was already installed at the factory. Much to my surprise, there was no air filter! Replacing the water filter was easy and I followed the LG produced video. Same for the air filter. I did turn off the water supply to eliminate any possible shower of water. The stainless steel exterior is easy to keep clean and stays pretty much smudge free. We've been very happy with the purchase so far. Hope to get many years of service from it.

Great Fridge with few flaws

Love the fridge, so much space. The adjustable shelves are a bit weird on the door, I ended up 3D printing some parts to better accommodate our needs. The only negative I can mention is the ice maker, the ice is smelly, and we’ve only had the fridge for 6-7 months. The fridge doesn’t smell and the freezer doesn’t smell. As a test I put an ice cube tray in the freezer and made ice, it never smells. There is definitely something with the ice maker that I need to address.

The Convert Drawer is something I didn't know I needed until I had it. I can put cases of soda cand directly in the drawer or put soda bottles in loose. I wish the shelves had more adjustments in height.

In July of 2024, we purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator with a flex drawer. This is a great refrigerator/freezer. If the doors or drawers are left open too long, there's a dinging sound to alert the owner that the refrigerator is not secure. We can find items easily and it does not matter which refrigerator door is closed first!

I love my new fridge! I've had it for a couple of months and it works just like I hoped. I chose to skip the outside dispenser for more room inside. My food is lasting longer. I'm using the middle drawer for things we grab during the day like drinks, snacks and dog food. The filtered water is cold when refilling my bottle. The freezer is well lit with lots of room. I found it on sale at the price I was hoping to pay black Friday.

We've this unit for about a month now. Seems so much bigger than the old fridge (also a 30 cubic foot LG that lasted 15 years). A little hard to get used to the no handles but we have figured it out. Using the middle drawer as extra fridge space as the freezer is more than adequate.

I LOVE this fridge! There is so much space. The drawers can fit so much and the pockets on the doors can hold a lot! I love the clean look of the front, with no handles. We are using the convertible drawer as a place for cold snacks so the doors of the fridge do not have to be opened as much.

Vast expanse of easy to see storage

This fridge is vast and well designed so that it uses the space well. I moved almost everything over from my previous, super-full fridge and there is still so much space. It looks empty! I like the shelf design and the freezer opens and closes with ease. Plenty of freezer space as well. I have cheese and butter in extra drawer but I’m glad it can be used to chill wine for a party or as a freezer - it would be great for freezing portioned cookie dough or berries prior to bagging.

Loving my new fridge! I had another for 12 long years “S” and every 3-4 months had to empty the entire thing into coolers for 24 to defrost…I’ve was always awful then just quit. I’ve got quite a few friends who love their LG and now I know why!!! I hugged it and the delivery guys when I got it-such a great feature with the middle drawer with all the meats and cheeses easy to get to. Can’t like it any more <3

So Much Room!

It’s been one month since purchasing this refrigerator. I love these main features: French doors, Full Convert drawer, Bottom Drawer freezer, Internal Water Dispenser & Slam-Resistant doors. The deep shelves on the French doors hold a lot of condiments & other smaller items which saves the shelf space for bigger items. Veggie & Fruit drawers are very large. Currently I’m using the Full Convert drawer for drinks & deli items. Freezer drawers hold a lot of food. I haven’t had any issues. Refrigerator & Freezer are maintaining their proper temperatures.

We just bought this refrigerator. We like that there is nothing on the doors, the amount of room inside is great. There are just a couple of things I would like to see; adjustability of the door bins, more than 1 divider for the convertible drawer and that the ice bin/top freezer shelf comes out with the main drawer when you open the drawer, afterall 90% of the time you're going in for ice anyway. It could be as simple as a notch that the wheels drop into.

I had purchased this the last day of 2023. I had it installed Jan. 11. It keeps things very cold. I was rather taken aback of the size of it compared to my older refrigerator. I have a toddler who likes to open it up constantly and put his fingerprints on it. I wish I didn't see those as much but realize it is fingerprint resistant. It runs well so far. I wish it were designed a bit different on the interior water dispenser so you can have bigger items to fill with water and it not fit or hit constantly in the vegetable drawer.

How does the ice maker work

I have had the LG30S8210S for 3 days - and cannot determine how the icemaker works. Sometimes I press the button for cubed ice and nothing happens. At other times I press the button and actually get ice! The ice plus feature does nothing. The icemaker seems to have a mind of its own. What is the trick to getting ice when I want it.

Lower refreezer door design is questionable

The large bottom drawer is extremely flimsy. The mechanics are not well designed. It wiggles side to side, from the excess movement, I am very concerned it will not hold up long. The middle door seems fine. The nice feature about it was that door could be either a freezer or a refrigerator. The lower door is a great disappointment. Read more

Beautiful design, Zero Quality Control

I wanted this refrigerator desperately. It has so many features that distanced it from all competition. Plus it's gorgeous and a bargain. Eventually, I ordered 2. Each time I waited patiently for 48+ hours for them to cool. Both failed miserably to chill below 50! You may be lucky and get one that actually works, but you're taking a great risk. If it does work initially, it's likely to break down later. I do not recommend.
