Great refrigerator but ice production is an issue

This an outstanding appliance. My wife and I have a large garden and we need a lot of refrigerator space to keep and preserve produce. The large capacity is a must and we have noticed quite quickly that the cooling is much more even throughout the refrigerator space than our old refrigerator ever managed. My only complaint is that for such a large refrigerator the ice maker is really tiny. It makes ice quickly (about every two hours), but the ice tray and ice cubes are so small that it barely keeps up with the ice My wife and I use in a day. If we have guests over to our house we either have to buy ice or plan ahead and fill ice trays for a few days ahead of time so we have enough. I wish I could say this is just a small issue but I did expect a larger ice production based on the description for the appliance.

Nice capacity

I love how big this refrigerator is. We regularly have to store a lot of huge pieces of meat like briskets and pork and ribs all at one time and this fridge does the job seamlessly. The adjustable shelves are a nice addition. It stays cold even with a major amount of food stored in there. We have not hooked up the water yet since we have to drill a hole in our floor to run the water line so I can’t comment on that. But we are very satisfied after almost a year.

Has everything we need!

After years of disappointment with GE products, we decided on a wonderful Whirlpool refrigerator and we couldn't be happier. It has everything we need, without a lot of bells and whistles... good storage capacity, and it just seems "brighter" than our old refrigerator. It also seems to cool faster and more efficiently than our old unit. Finally, the ice maker inside the freezer works very well. We're happy with the product.

We really like this fridge. It holds everything from a lot of various drink sizes to frozen pizza. The fridge runs very quietly Everything stays nice and cold and organized. I like how I can adjust the door organizers to various height. I like how the icemaker is in the freezer and we do not have a water dispenser or ice dispenser on the door because I find the refrigerator to run more efficiently when everything is contained Inside the unit. I feel that this refrigerator is a solid build, and it is going to last us for a while. I also like the display on the left-hand door, which lets me know The temperature and if the icemaker is on or off.

The queen of refrigerators...she's a beauty!

This refrigerator is beautiful and sleek. It fits perfectly in our kitchen and has plenty of room inside for drinks, taller items and plenty of storage space as well. It allows you to keep it nice and organized. The temperatures have been great on the upper and lower parts. At first the ice seemed to make very slow and it couldn't keep up but that seems to have resolved itself and ice is making quickly. We love this refrigerator!

The fridge is huge and don’t even get me started on the freezer ! I truly recommend these fridge to those 8+ families. The interior is designed to have a place for everything. Food stored in here, last so much longer than in my old two door fridge. Everything kept inside is always cool to the touch. We've had the fridge for a few weeks. My initial impression was its very large capacity to hold our entire family's food items -and we're easily able to see & reach everything. It's also extremely quiet -I hear nothing (unlike my last refrigerator). The ice-maker seems a little slow, but not a problem.

Roomy is an Understatement

It’s been one week and so far I would say I’m refrigerator exceeded my expectations. The delivery and take away were seamless. My biggest surprise was the roominess of the freezer. I thought I would have to sacrifice space because of the built in ice maker. I recently broke my ankle and temporarily use a wheelchair but I’m and I’m able to maneuver around the island and still comfortably access the freezer. The biggest surprise was how roomy the shelves and interior are. Even though I had the Interior sizes and specs it really hit home when my groceries were out In it. Island and still comfortably access the freezer! Additional shelf space and food compartments were a plus even though I saw the size specifications I was pleasantly surprised by the roomy DJ

Easy Access

We originally purchased a 3 door Samsung which we had installed in our RV and were VERY happy with it. After reading ratings on it, we canceled the sale and bought this unit. It is extremely spacious and easy access with the French doors. The freezer is also easily accessible and love the pizza pocket. Very pleased with our decision and would highly recomend thus refrigerator.

So much space

We have had this fridge for a few weeks now and I love it! This was a major upgrade for us. Some of my favorite features include large drawers for fruit/produce; can fit a whole gallon of milk, our Brita water pitcher, and juice all in the doors at once; fits a whole cookie sheet on each shelf or large cale; quick freeze/chill options for days where you are in/out of the fridge/freezer a lot; and no fingerprints on the outside! I also am a major fan of the pizza pocket - this thing holds at least 2-3 thin crust pizzas. The only real "con" for me so far is that while the deli drawer does hold a lot, it can be easy to lose track of things in the back and you need to open both fridge doors to pull out the deli drawer (very minor issue and more of a personal preference anyway).

So spacious!

We already have a whirlpool fridge upstairs, but we needed one for downstairs. Love the Whirlpool fridges. So spacious and love the cooling technology. The side of the door tells you the temperature and you can adjust the cooling setting. It came with a water filter and ice cube scooper. We’re always cooking at home, so a big fridge is a must!

Great for families

We are so happy with our new refrigerator! It's the perfect size for busy families. The refrigerator holds a lot and the space is maximized for storage. The shelves are removable and easy to adjust to your needs. It's nearly silent and I love that there's a panel on the side of the door to tell you the temperature etc. It gets cold very quickly too. I love that the water dispenser can be used with one hand. As for the freezer, it's very roomy and comes with dividers to help keep your items organized. The ice bucket is very generous in size and could easily hold enough ice to fill a standard cooler. I also like the pull out drawer in the freezer. We have a toddler who is always looking for ice cream, so the pullout is the perfect place to put it. This is our second whirlpool refrigerator and we've been happy with both. Also, I swear we eat food! I just filled it with drinks for now for an easy size reference.

This is one of the most beautiful refrigerators I’ve seen and definitely the most beautiful one I’ve owned. It is massive. It’s bigger than my previous one, and that one only had an ice maker. This one has a water filter and dispenser, and came make up to 3lbs of ice per day. It has so many different components/ compartments. This got a frozen pizza drawer and the doors can hold gallons of milk or water or anything. The light is bright when you open the fridge and the freezer drawer. It’s also super quiet. You can’t even tell it’s running until you are right next to it. I don’t think I have ever been this excited about an appliance in my life. I absolutely love every single feature.

Quiet and huge fridge

We have owned this for about 1 month so far on a new build. Bought it because it was available in white and it was a nice big refrigerator. It runs very quietly so you can't hear it almost at all. Drawers slide easily and the freezer is huge. We didn't hook up the ice maker because we didn't want it. Hopefully it will last a long time, but we are very happy with it so far.

We love our new refrigerator! It has acres of room inside, and the freezer pull-out drawer is so much nicer than our old bottom door freezer, which I had to get down on my knees to use. The glass shelves seem sturdy and well-designed, and there's plenty of room in the doors for condiments, milk etc. No butter compartment, but we use the top right-side door shelf for that. And we turned off the ice maker, but I love the built-in ice container, which I fill with round cubes from my countertop ice maker. It even comes with an ice scoop! I hope it will last half as long as our old Amana, which lasted 27 years....

Perfect for our family!

We were in need of an upgrade and my eyes were drawn to this fridge! The fridge and freezer compartment are both quite spacious! Personally I like the way the shelves and drawers are organized, it makes it easy to place and access groceries. It’s also nice that they can be adjusted to however height you want too. I was surprised with how quick it takes to cool/freeze. You can adjust the temperature if you find it too be too cold or too warm, but I felt like it kept our groceries nice for a decent amount of time (at least it made them stay nice much longer than our previous fridge!). The ice maker is a nice feature but I will say it is on the noisier side. It doesn’t bother me but every once in awhile we won’t have any sound in the background so when the freezer drops ice into the bin it startles us because of how loud it gets. This fridge seems to make a decent amount of ice in a day. The shape is pretty uniform, no odd chunky or broken ice cubes, and the color looks fine like how ice cubes should. Overall we are extremely happy with this purchase!

Nearly ideal

For a fridge that is nearly the exact footprint of our last one, this one packs so much more space! We can fit tall items (juice bottles, milk cartons, coffee creamer, etc) on the lower main shelf! Our previous fridge missed this mark by about an inch, very frustratingly. The one shelf i wish had an extra inch is the very top. The adjustments don't allow for this, however, so my quart jars of pickles can't fit sadly. Just means I have to figure out a new organization method for this fridge... Beautiful bright lights at the front make things more visible rather than lights from the back to blind you. The freezer has a lot of space also! The pizza pocket is just shy of wide enough to fit 4 boxes of Aldi pizza, impressively. Ice maker has been keeping up with our use easily. I only wish there was an easy grab handle for the top drawer as it stays inside when you open the freezer and it's not the easiest to grab.

Why Did I Wait?

We've just had this for 2 weeks and so far is it great. It's 31 cubic sq ft of space and I can now see everything in my fridg. No more digging trying to find things. The ice production is fabulous. It's just 2 of us and more ice than we can use. We fought our old Samsung for years so this is aa dream. I don't miss not having a place to get filtered water. That problem was solved putting a Britta in that has a spigot. Hope this stays this good. So easy to reach everything. Only one issue is I wish the sandwich/meat drawer pulled further out.

The shelving is adequate and works out great for me Let’s see if this whirlpool fridge last longer than five years, which seems to be the one of these days for refrigerators

The unit has lots of room. We went with the unit with no cold water or ice in the door since we don't hook up those functions. Only complaint is that you have to open the doors all the way to open the slide out drawers. Otherwise a solid dependable unit

I like how large and accessible everything is. It’s also very quiet. The freezer holds temperature great, the refrigerator holds temperature very well but does fluctuate a little. I actually do like this refrigerator very much, the only thing I wish was better was the volume of the chime when the door is left open too much, you can barely hear it. I wish it was louder.

I don't miss the ice and water dispenser that the LG had and the ice production in this Whirlpool french door is much better since the ice maker is in the freezer. So many things I love about this refrigerator and freezer. I love the compartment in the freezer, they allow me to find items so easily, no moving everything around to find one small item,. The ice maker produces way more ice than we need. And the roominess in the refrigerator is unbelievable, I have bought groceries and still have lots of room for more plus room for left overs.

The fridge has tremendous capacity and really uses space efficiently. There some two cons. One, the ice maker is very cheap -- it is basically a dollar store ice tray on a pivot underneath a sprayer. Within a few months of purchase, the overfill lever got snagged in the ice, and when we opened the drawer, it pulled the icemaker down. Additionally the slide out drawer in the freezer is very hard to remove -- it took an hour to find the how to steps on the internet. Having said that, the way the freezer is organized/arranged is very useful.

When purchasing a new refrigerator, it was important for it to be a high quality, dependable appliance that would last many years. We also needed it to be very spacious and have movable shelves and drawers that allowed for custom organization. This refrigerator did not disappoint! It allowed way more storage space in the interior of the refrigerator than our previous one that works great for large items/boxes. The freezer also has spacious drawers that help with accessibility and organization. Would definitely buy again and highly recommend!

I recently bought this refrigerator, and it has exceeded my expectations. The layout is incredibly well‑designed, with deep shelves and adjustable compartments that make it easy to organize everything from leftovers to tall drink containers. I am a baker and I can store my 8–12-inch cakes in there as well. I do not use the ice maker, our water here is not the greatest, but my favorite part is the ice bin and freezer section.

I love it! The room is great for big items like party platters and cakes. I like how it is easy viewing and all drawers with clear view. We opted out of the ice and water on the door since that had the most repairs on the previous refrigerator we had purchased. The number one reason for this model was the ice maker in the freezer compartment with the large ice container since my husband fills his small cooler when he plays golf. This leaves some ice left over at home. My sisters are envious.

Overall we are pleased with the new refrigerator. We didn’t realize when we purchased it that we accidentally purchased the model with no water dispenser. Honestly, for the price point, we were surprised there was one without a filtered water dispenser. The inside is very spacious and I appreciate the room for gallon sized jugs on both interior doors. The drawer is quite large and fit more than I expected. We are a family that eats a ton of fresh fruit and vegetables and I was disappointed in the size of the produce drawers. They are quite small. The freezer is very well divided and fit way more than we expected. We absolutely love the ice maker and the pizza pocket area for storage of frozen pizzas. It cooled down super quick when we first received it and so far we’ve had no issues keeping things fresh without freezing them in the fridge. Honestly, it seems like there are a lot of bells and whistles on this fridge, but it’s really a pretty basic and large fridge.

This fridge replaced my 31 year old Amana , which was still working but looking a bit sad. I love the ease of changing the shelf height to accommodate large items. Was pleasantly surprised to hear a beeping sound when I had unknowingly left the freezer door ajar. The ice maker makes a plentiful amount of small sized iced cube, which fit perfectly in any glass. And, It looks beautiful in my kitchen .

This fridge is incredibly spacious, and the temperature can be adjusted with just a touch. I like that all of the shelving is height-adjustable for convenience. The pizza pocket in the freezer gets a lot of use, too. I also really love that I never have to ask myself if we have ice. Yes! Yes, we do. The fridge makes the ice, and it's in the ice drawer, and if we somehow use enough to run out of ice, the fridge will just make more! It's such a small thing, but I really love that we always have ice.

What I do like is how quite it is, and the wide shelves on the door and how well organized the inside & freezer is. Overall is has a lot of nice space. What I don't like is having two doors, & there is no space at the bottom, and because it is so deep, I am constantly stubbing my toes, if I reach for something in the back.

I love it so far, however Whirlpool customer service is terrible: good luck getting ahold of anyone. I also was caught off guard that the side of the fridge is a flat grey and not black or steel. I had expected it to at least be a full steel facade. And taking off the plastic is a huge pain due to them putting parts on top of the plastic. Youll never truly get it all off.

So Far So Good - Time Will Tell

Nothing gets 5 stars without the passage of time. So far the refrigerator seems fine for the two weeks we've owned it. This unit replaces a very troublesome and expensive Samsung that lasted all of 8 years. The refrigerator is quiet - relatively speaking, maintains proper temperature, and the ice maker produces adequate quantities. Wife noticed that the plastic drawers seem a little thinner, i.e. cheaper than others, (shrinkflation?). Once again time will tell. I opened the access panel on the bottom rear exterior to see condenser configuration. It is very simple and looks like it will be easy to keep the dust bunnies out - unlike the Samsung. Two complaints so far: (1) The control panel embedded on the side of the left refer door takes some getting used to and is not the most user friendly but it's ok. (2) Paint job, (black) isn't great and is easily scratched so will need to take precautions. I'm hoping this unit lasts a long time but won't be surprised if it doesn't. Unfortunately nothing seems to be built for the long haul anymore. So sad for consumers and the planet.

Finally a manufacturer listed and gives the consumer usable interior space! I'm done with fancy bells and whistles- I wanted a French door full size refrigerator with as much usable interior space as possible and that's what this model delivered. I can store all my bottles, jars, cartons, butter, etc. in the doors leaving the interior shelves for other things. In my old Samsung there wasn't enough room to store food and beverages in the same unit. Things were so crowded I was constantly moving things around trying to find "that one item". Not in this model! I love how I can see everything easy. I especially enjoy the see through crisper drawers. Reminds me at a glance what I have fresh and need to use first. The freezer is well designed and allows plenty of storage and the ice maker is working well. The exterior finish is so much better than my old Samsung- very easy to wipe down and always looks good. I am extremely happy with this product and I have high hopes the love story will continue for years to come.

I purchased this a few weeks ago and it's up and running. Very spacious and so far seems to be well built, time will tell. Digital temperature setting seems to be off a degree or two. I have it set at 35 vs recommended 37 and it averages about 36. It would be nice if the top tray in the freezer section pulled out when you open the freezer vs having to reach back and pull the top section out each time.

Happy with my new refrigerator. Love the large shelves on door. Fits a lot of things. Like the drawers and the large drawer partition because can use it for a wide use of items. Like that drawer handles are at bottom of drawers. Took awhile to get use to that but ended up liking it. Fingerprints not as evident. Shelves are adjustable which comes in handy. Can fit tall water filter in there easy. Seems like easy to clean so far. Large Ice container with scoop. Freezer compartment sectioned or can take section out in bottom of two layers there. Only draw back is I wish lighting freezer brighter or more lights. Used at night and had to turn over head room light on to see better. So far happy with it.

So far, the refrigerator is great, except I have two issues: The right door does not stay open when you open it fully. So when you have several food items to put in the refrigerator you have to hold the door open with your hip so the door doesn't close before you get your food in. Second issue is the open door alarm, which only sounds 3 times, It is so quiet that unless you are very close to the refrigerator, you won't hear it. I had a repair person out and there is nothing that can be done about either of these two things.

I bought this refrigerator 3 weeks ago. It's working great so far. Lot's of Space. It's keeping everything cold has it should. Refrigerator at 37F and freezer at 0 or below. It's quiet. When the icemaker dumps the ice it's not too loud. Looks good in our kitchen even though we have all white appliances. No issues with the doors as other reviews reported. We wish the handles on the drawers inside the refrigerator were on the top of the drawer instead of on the bottom. Not a deal breaker. Hope it lasts longer than our LG which lasted 9 years and had issues.

Since our purchase a month or so ago we have been more than pleased with our bottom freezer refrgerator. So far it has performed flawlessly. We really like the ability to open/close the left door without having to open the right one. The bottom freezer is very capacious with a shallower second drawer above the lower one. Very easy to access for loading or removing items. EXTREMELY pleased with our purchase.

Icemaker Problem

We bought this refrigerator with only one feature - ice maker located in bottom freezes compartment. When the refrigerator first started up we had a significant problem - water from the ice maker sprayed over the interior back side of the freezer compartment and the inside the upper shelf of the freezer compartment. After that the ice maker did not seem to function properly. We had unplug it to turn the refrigerator off to defrost the freezer and get rid of the water. We then turned it back on again, but made sure the water and ice maker was not turned on again until the freezer compartment had fully reached its normal operating temperature. After that it has worked fine. Whirlpool should do two things - 1) provide a switch so that the freezer can be turned off without having to turn of the upper refrigerator compartment and 2) update the startup instructions so others don’t have this same problem.

I received my new Whirlpool refrigerator this month and so far, so good. It is very spacious, and I love it. I am enjoying the in-freezer ice maker which is making so much cubed iced. This refrigerator is really quiet unlike my old one. You do occasionally hear ice drop but that is to be expected.

Clean; spacious; functional

I bought this refrigerator and it was delivered/set up on July 2. Now, nearly two months into use, I'm quite pleased with it. It's spacious, well made (by today's standards), and the shelf layout makes it ideal for our use as an "overflow" refrigerator for use for leftovers (we have a large family); drink storage (water bottles; sodas; etc.); and ancillary freezer storage. It's quiet; the fingerprint-resistant stainless steel ensures it remains clean looking; and it produces a good quantity of ice to bolster what our primary refrigerator can produce - handy when we have large family gatherings. Also, it has a plain - but functional - design. All those "bells-and-whistles" that some refrigerators offer are of no real interest to us for this refrigerator's use; rather, just clean aesthetic lines, good functionality, and long-term reliability. It's demonstrated that it's met the first two of those parameters. Hopefully, time will prove that it can meet the last one as well.

Every refrigerator has something you wish was different. Not so with my new French Doors. . . freezer below, refrigerator. I love the way the shelves can be arranged and the freezer below is amazing, especially with the convenient pull out drawer. Actually I am so grateful, because my new refrigerator had to be white and had to fit in the designated space. This one was the only white one that I could find that was in a nearby warehouse and would fit perfectly in the space. it has twice as much usable space as my conked out 23 year old refrigerator had. Love it!

We like this refrigerator, but a few tweaks would be good. -more ability to adjust shelves (the top shelf is not adjustable) -more ability to adjust door shelves -the freezer ice bin, the new ice piles up in the back of the bin and has to be pulled forward or it won't make more ice. This refrigerator and freezer are huge and we love that! Works really well.

We purchased this refrigerator about one week ago and so far the experience has been good! There is ample room on the interior of this model and it is very quiet. I would have liked more shelves on the doors with more options for adjusting heights. Such a small wish considering this model is otherwise fantastic.We do not hook up the ice maker so I can not put that as part of my review. Seems to have a more even cool throughout the interior. So with the spacious interior, even cooling and running quietly this one checks most of my lists. First time with Whirlpool so I am hoping for a long and happy experience.

I've had this refrigerator for about 2.5 weeks now. I'm not super impressed BUT it is still working. Not at all impressed with the small amount of ice it produces (2 in family). I'm not sure of the few controls; I think they are NOT explained well in the instruction book, so I just left them as they were when it was plugged in. Plus I'm just bummed because this is now the 3rd refrigerator I've had in 8.5 years and one of them was a Whirlpool. So, we'll see how long this one lasts.

There appears to be some type of a leak, and while it’s still making some ice, water is dripping into the ice collection bin and freezing. Large capacity, small ice production.

We really like the layout and shelving but I have concerns about the articulating left door seal. I didn't notice this in the store and it works fine but it strikes me as the 1st thing that's going to break. My AI indicates this is NOT a common point of failure & I hope Whirpool's engineers have brought a stalwart, innovative design to market, not a Rübe Goldberg "solution" . Time will tell. We chose the model to have an ice maker without an in door dispenser (a comon point of failure). The ice production however is anemic. If you have more than 2 people tapping the ice bucket, I believe you may have problems in the Summer. We work a farm in Dixie, spend a LOT of time outdoors, recharge our yetis a couple times a day with ice & refrigerated water & keep a bag on the side. If a spouse goes into work and a couple children park in front of a tv, I believe the production will be adequate. We open the freezer for ice a dozen times more than we do for food but when we do, we still must pull out the ice shelf. It's a small but frequent inconvenience that could be easily remedied by having a latch attaching the ice drawer to the main drawer so the customer could decide how the freezer opens. We had this unit delivered and set up. The crew was experienced but had significant problems getting the door handles on securely. When they reassembled the freezer drawer, a spacing rod was not secured correctly and it fell out later that day. The owners manual did not have useful info on this part so I called it into Lowes and they had another crew come out to fix it. No issues since.

It's Okay

To start, the fridge has some good room inside it. The problem I've found is a lack of customization within the fridge itself, the top shelf is way too close to the top. The fridge doesn't have a water but it still managed to leak water at the filter portion in the top of the fridge. I shut off the water and I'm waiting to see if it's fixable. It does produce a lot of ice, so that's good.

I like everything about the fridge except for how little ice it makes each time so the ice bin never really fills up always running out; there’s only 2 of us using ice . But over all there plenty of space a freezer makes it easy to keep things organized. If some one doesn’t close the door all the way the freezer/fridge will chime to alert so that way our food should keep temperature.

The second replacement refrigerator had a door ajar warning light that never went off and the lights inside were always on. The third replacement refrigerator I have now had for approximately two weeks and so far is working ok, only time will tell. Hope this one lasts as I do like this model refrigerator.

So far this fridge has been pretty good. The ice maker stopped working after three months but they came right out and fixed it. It took an hour on hold to get the appointment but once they came out they were good. The other issue I’ve had that I can’t get help with is if you don’t push the door hard to close it then it won’t close all the way.

Doesn't get cold

Ice production is intermittent, sometimes stopping after a few cubes. Sometimes starts melting immediately. Refrigeration is barely acceptable. Freezer starting frosting up on day one. Nothing stays totally frozen. Storage is great, which is the reason I bought it. Shelving and accessibility are also good.

Come find out there is a pinhole in the refrigerant line which caused the coolant system to quit working. Only good thing is it is still under warranty but still doesn’t help that I lost a lot of food.

Nice looking but could improve some features

Refrigerator compartment does not get below 38 F when set at the lowest setting of 33 F Fresh food/meat drawer doesn’t get any cooler than 40.8F at lowest setting. Freezer works fine. It would be nice if one could pull out the fresh food/meat drawer without having to open both doors. Drawer pulls are confusing and inconsistent. Fingers must be up to pull some and down for others. Called Whirlpool to fix problem with temperature and a rude person told me that this is normal but she would send someone to look at it. They did find there is a faulty sensor (thermistor) and will replace it. temperature was normal operating range fingers down to pull others doors

We left a call back number and still haven’t received a call back. Very dissatisfied with Whirlpool, hasn't worked for over a week and no word on when it will be repaired or replaced. FURIOUS and will spread this poor service information far and wide.

LOW ICE PRODUCTION

Love refrigerator, but so disappointed in Ice Maker! It only makes about 2.5 lbs ice per day given we have a well with only about 30 PSI. Online help has not yielded anyway to increase water fill time to compensate for our low water pressure. This was a screw on older models... but no adjustment seems to be available for new digital controls.

Doesn't function

From the moment we received it the freezer thermostat doesn't function correctly causing the temperature in the refrigerator to frequently go above 40 degrees. The warranty repair man also said the motherboard was making a whining sound. While we wait for parts for who knows how long because the distributor doesn't have them, we can't trust the refrigerator to keep food at a safe temperature which isn't causing any inconveniences at all

New fridge with bad compressor. Called for repair, guy came out said it needed a compressor and that someone would be out in a few days to repair. That was three weeks ago. Still waiting. It’s a beautiful, but rather large, paperweight.

Buyer Beware Purchasing Any Whirlpool Appliance!

I bought this refrigerator a month ago and it came with one leveling leg. I called Whirlpool and before anything could be done, I had to purchase an extended warranty. After purchasing the warranty, I was able to make a claim with Whirlpool. This requirement pertains to any Whirlpool appliance, prior to making a warranty claim, regardless if it was delivered with a defect. The Service Technician wasn't sure this model had 2 leveling legs or if they are really a stop. It has been over 2 weeks and no resolution. In the meantime I am using shims on the one side. The French doors and bottom freezer door do not close completely by just pushing slightly like my other refrigerators have and require you to push the doors and drawers all the way closed by hand. This is a huge problem. I have verified the refrigerator is level using a level as recommended in the users manual.
