Misaligned door handles!

I’m still bothered by the fact that the two handles don’t line up. The doors appear to be level with each other, but the right side handle is about 1/16” higher. It works fine, the doors stay closed and I like it otherwise, but you need some better quality control or something.

I love this fridge! After almost 15 yrs of a side by side, I finally got this bottom freezer fridge. Its magical to me. I have kids and sometimes dig in the fridge in a rush, so having the door open signal is fantastic. Its just loud enough, and the sound is not obnoxious at all. I was initially worried because we keep alot of juices and tall items- but between the door and the slide in shelf is perfect to make the room you need. And the ice maker - clean-tasting and beautiful, half-moon shaped ice..love it. The sandwich drawer is great for snacks for the kids. I amsolutely love this fridge.

Overall Good Refrigerator

Perfect outside dimensions for our space! Very nice looking, runs fairly quiet. Ice maker works great! I love the large clear drawers! Nice freezer drawer with ample space. Shelf positioning a bit confusing because if you raise the center shelf to allow more space for taller items, the only position that's available is approx 2 inches from the top shelf so the middle shelf becomes pretty useless. Yes, the middle shelf has the section that shifts back so you can fit one or two taller items on the bottom shelf but it still does not allow enough space for several taller items like beverages. We ended up taking the center shelf completely out and putting the top shelf down one position and that seems to work well for us. The other thing I find unessessary is the tip out removable condiment shelf inside the left door, it's bulky takes up valuble space, I would have much rather had a regular shelf there. The door shelves could also be a tad shorter (-1") to make it easier to put items in and take items out. The single light inside on top in the center is okay, very bright, actually had to put a piece of masking tape on it because I'm short and it seems to shine right in my eyes. I much perferred the lighting in my previous GE, which were 2 small bright LED lights on eash side (4 total), positioned toward the front and back shining toward the center. Overall we're pleased, it's a good looking, very functional refrigerator!

Small size with lots of room

Purchased end of June 2024. We have a small area in the kitchen for a refrigerator for so our options were small. So far this has been a great frig and a big step above what we had previously. We went from A freezer on top to the one on the bottom. This frig seems so much bigger and better organized. We are very happy with our purchase.

Love the French Door

Refrigerator is a bit smaller than I wanted but it was what I could afford. I really wanted a French Door and an ice maker. I didn’t mind that the ice maker is in the freezer and not through the door. I only have one problem with it though, where the water comes out there is seam below that catches water and now is corroding. As it drips down it leaves a dirty spotty line. Drives me nuts because I can’t get it clean. I have only had this refrigerator for a year.

Love the new fridge

Incredible Design

Due to the pandemic I did not get this wonderful appliance delivered until 15 months after it was ordered and it was so worth the wait. Love the design of the shelving and compared to the one it replaced it has more room and functionality. Particularly love the shelf that slides back if I need a small spot for a tall item. The space for this refrigerator is limited but this model fits perfectly and gives me far more interior unit space in both the freezer and and refrigerator sections than my old one. Highly recommend!

Perfect size for a small space

I have limited space and this refrigerator fit perfectly. I am happy with this appliance. The only drawback that I have encountered was some frost build up in the freezer compartment-unsure how it happened but it did. It was difficult to remove due to the inability to remove the drawers in the freezer.

A Time of Adjustments

While ordered in July, the refrigerator was only delivered on September 23, 2020. I have a narrow kitchen, and this model was one of a handful of refrigerators that would fit my space. The French doors and having the freezer on the bottom are great pluses for me. The half shelf is essential for me. I always have a pitcher of something on the shelf. This refrigerator holds less than my previous model. The shelves in the doors are essential. The bottom one will hold a half gallon of milk. I am still working on learning how to best arrange food items. I have never had a refrigerator with filters, so changing those will be an experience. I have arthritis in my hands, so I hope I can do it. The full size deli drawer is great.

My French Door refrigerator is the quietest person, uh, object in my house. I appreciate that tremendously. The interior is nice and offers convenient drawers, although I believe the storage design needs a little tweaking. I appreciate the surface finish because it is easy to clean. I love the bottom freezer and it is ample, especially considering that we bought a smaller version of the French Door.

It has too filters to keep your veggies fresh and your fridge not having a musty smell. The freezer on the bottom has plenty of space for your frozen good. And it has a built in ice maker for those hot days. I would recommend this buy! Love the color too.

Salesman on phone very helpful and filter when looking on line found perfect fit when I put in dimensions . Delivery men careful and kind and listened to me . I would recommend this refrigerator replaced a 20 year old Frigidaire still ran but knew it was time .French doors handier and no more bending or kneeling to get items out of the fridge! Very happy

The French door configuration is not as good as it seems. It is difficult to fit tall items in the fridge. There is less usable space than a standard one door fridge. The drawer freezer is hard to open the top section does not move freely, the ice maker is always in the way.

Fits the Bill

With a limited rough in and a tight galley kitchen my choices were limited. I wanted to upgrade to a French door refrigerator as well. I am very happy with my choice, being able to see everything at eye level and with the freezer compartments nothing will be buried. The finger proof resistant finish is a plus as is the LED interior lighting especially in the freezer area.

I don’t like you HAVE to close left door first. You can close the right but the left will not shut and you can walk away and not realize not totally shut. There is a warning alarm that tells you not shut but doesn go off if door is almost shut.

I have had this refrigerator for 2 weeks and it is performing flawlessly. It is slightly smaller than the one it replaced but has lots of room inside, especially in the doors! On the default settings the ice maker makes ice, the refrigerator refrigerates and the freezer freezes.

Refrigerator section not as cold as old one. It is within acceptable limits. Took awhile to get use to the barrier between French doors. The refrigerator is A plus for looks. I got plain black and it is ecstatically beautiful in my opinion. Freezer should have had removable separators so different size products could be placed. Plastic clear shelves I like them. They are clear but could have been thicker-hope they will not break.

Bought this about a month ago, because we really needed a new refrigerator. Refrigerator gets so cold, I had to change the setting. Freezer doesn’t get as cold as I would like, but that's a preference issue on my end. Lots of space, just takes some adjusting to get things moved to where I'm happy. Overall great product, and a huge improvement from our previous refrigerator

Tons of room inside frig section and good extra room for me in freezer. The only drawback is no light in freezer section. Other than that it's perfect for my needs.

I bought this about a 6 weeks ago. I had a small space but wanted a full refrigerator. This fit perfectly and offers a pretty roomy interior. I love the freezer on the bottom. I also like the drawers included, particularly the wide one. I was afraid it would be big enough to hold everything I wanted, but it is a lot roomier than I thought. It isn't silent but it is MUCH quieter than my previous fridge -- I rarely notice it. The look and exterior finish are also great -- I don't see a lot of finger smudges, it stays clean and shiny. I'm very pleased. Would I have loved to have a larger fridge? Yes. But this comes really close to providing everything I wanted in a larger model.

We wanted a larger unit since we are cooking more at home-and this fits the bill. Visibility of items is good- adaptability of shelf is a nice touch. I had one tray pop down off track- not sure what happened there. I wish the plastic trays didn't bow as much and would keep a tighter control on its airflow/moisture. Although all the glass and plastic allow that light through and allows for that roomy look- I can't help but feel it takes a bite into that storage space.

Nice Smaller Sized Refrigerator for Two People

This is a good quality smaller sized fridge with adequate space to store food for two adults. For a bigger family that has limited kitchen space and won't fit a larger sized refrigerator, you may want to consider getting a second 'basic' refrigerator for the garage or a basement to allow additional food/freezer storage. Somewhat limited shelf space for taller items. To accommodate taller items, they designed a shelf feature that allows you the option of basically sliding about a third of one shelf under itself which will then open up enough space equal to fit 3 half-gallon milk containers side-by-side. The plastic bins in the doors and plastic pull out bins/drawers are thin compared to those in other models I've owned - but will do the job of holding items. The freezer compartment does not have an adjustable divider. It has a fixed divider in the middle of the compartment.

It’s been set up for a week and a half. I like the way everything is accessible and easily viewed. The mid section of the fridge has frozen the food so care is needed in what is placed there. Large drawer in the bottom of the fridge and one veggie drawer can’t be opened unless both doors are open. It does look nice.

Great use of space—much better than the 36” side by side it replaced. Excellent freezer compartment design! The only problem is that the larger drawer in the top tier is too narrow so it keeps falling off the tracks. Replacement has been ordered; we shall see if it corrects the problem.

Nice compact size, but not great for taller items.

This was the only French door refrigerator available from any manufacturer in a small size. I was very happy when my dealer found it. It is identical to my old fridge except for the slide-in shelf for taller items on the left side. I don't like that feature since the space behind the tall items is useless unless you remove all the tall items to get to the items in back. There is no way to adjust the other shelves to make them usable for tall items.

Perfect for smaller spaces in older homes

We needed a narrower fridge to fit our small kitchen, and this Whirlpool fridge works perfectly for our needs. It gives us the french door, bottom freezer convenience we love while fitting in a constrained space. It can hold a lot of groceries while keeping everything easy to see and access. The icemaker works fast, keeping plenty of ice available.

Great fridge adjusting on how to store items

I went from a 'traditional' refrigerator, that is a top freezer and one door to the fridge. Fridge - I love the area to store items in the door. The biggest adjustment is the short height in between the shelves. They have made one shelf split so taller items can sit there, but that's it. Any other tall items will need to be put on their side or in the door. The crisper drawers are nice and I like the full shallow drawer for cheeses and similar items. Freezer - The freezer has a top drawer where the ice container sits. This is nice for smaller items that you use frequently. The bottom is 2 large areas. Because of this, I'll be looking for 2 freezer bins for each side that are stackable. Otherwise, it could be awkward to find items a food deep. I have the black stainless steel which is new to me. It's awesome! I wish they offered all their products in this finish.

Worth the Wait

Very happy so far with this refrigerator. If I could make one suggestion to improve this refrigerator, I would configure the shelfs to accommodate taller juice and soda bottles. We keep a lot of juice, milk and soda in the refrigerator and seem to run out of space to store. The drop-down shelving section is great, but I still have to lay the liter soda bottles down on a shelf.

Nice refrigerator

Just have had this refrigerator for around 3 weeks. I am assuming this refrigerator was designed by a man. There is no water dispenser in the refrigerator, only ice. Boo! But, I'm glad the ice is in the freezer compartment. The gallon size door holders are nice, but you don't put milk in the doors as you open the doors too much. You put your milk on the top shelf in the back toward where the cold air comes out. Gets too warm in the door. I realize this is a smaller cubic foot refrigerator than my previous one but the adjustability of the shelves leaves a lot to be desired. They are too close together for taller items. Other than that, it is okay.

We really like the stainless steel model and having the freezer on the bottom with a pull out drawer is very handy. It fits perfectly in the space we have. Highly recommend.

I like this style refrigerator very much. This one is very quiet except for an odd whirring noise it makes from time to time. I'm assuming that's the compressor adjusting the temperature when necessary. At least that's what the techs tech tells me in the service dept. of the store where I purchased it when I called to ask about it. So far, it's a really nice fridge!

Good replacement for our 10+ year-old fridge that was on its last leg! Door to water filter is very difficult to open and the odd placement of odor cartridge filter makes replacement a definitedchalleng for this senior citizen. Life the french door concept because it allows more space for items across shelving.

Getting used to it!

So far, this refrigerator is good. I like how simple and sleek it looks on the outside. We were limited on size due to the space available in our kitchen, and this refrigerator fit. We’ve had to rearrange/utilize the space differently from our old refrigerator, because of the shelving placement inside and on the doors. We are making it work. It seems to run cold (freezing the items in the back of the refrigerator), so we have made some temp adjustments as well. One thing that has been inconvenient is that the plastic covering protecting the finish was really difficult to remove around the handles and hinges. We are still working on it. Hopefully durability and reliability will make up for some of these minor inconveniences.

This refrigerator is spacious and attractive. It fits perfectly in my apartment at only 30 inches wide. My only issue is there could be more room for tall items. Otherwise it works great and keeps things cold.

Bottom Freezer is the way to go

I came from a side by side and I love the bottom freezer so much. I was a little taken back by the door shelves and the lack of being able to store tall things like salad dressing once I put milk in 1 door but I moved some shelves around and it works great now. Some people said I would hate the deep freezer but I used the compartments to separate by category. Deep drawers on the bottom for our meats (1 side) and bagged frozen other side. 2 smaller drawers are vegetables and extras like garlic bread. So much easier to find what I need compared to the side by side I had before. My only complaint would be I could walk away from my fridge door without shutting it and "gravity" would close it..this fridge I need to close it before I walk away. Lucky for me it has an alarm if the door stays open too long ;) Our last fridge was over 20 years old, I just hope this one lasts as long.

I bought this to replace an old failing one. The look updated my kitchen and the features are great. There aren’t many options for French doors at just 30 inches wide, so to find one with an ice maker was wonderful. No more ice trays for me. I’ve had to adjust to the freezer being a drawer, but it has actually made it easier to store more food. This unit has turned me into a poor host, because I want people to get their own drinks so they can see my new refrigerator.

Have had frig almost 1 month. Lots of space in frig & freezer; is quiet running. This 1 doesn’t have ice dispenser but ice bin is easy to reach. The Foldaway Shelf is a nice touch for storing tall items; however, I would suggest having the folding part on the right hand side of frig as that is the main door that gets opened. If you open left door, pretty much have to open right door to be sure the left closes easily. Overall, frig is a good buy.

I previously owned a small refrigerator with a freezer on the top. It was hard to find food in the fridge as so much was hidden unless you bent way over. It was also clumsy to find food in the freezer. Having the freezer on the bottom, with a sliding shelf is a delight. Easy to see and reach whatever I want in the freezer. This model also has an icemaker, which we didn't have previously. It is great. The refrigerator is designed so that everything is visible. The only drawback I can see on this particular model is that there is not a lot of space for tall items. The easy fix is to store items on their side, which is no big deal because these items are often unopened anyway, There is a lot of room in the door shelves for small items, which is also nice so I don't have to play Tetris with my food items when I am putting things in or taking them out. I love the finish. I love the electronic indicators letting me know when to change the water filter, etc. I also like the roominess of the crisper and meat draws. They are flat so you can fit virtually anything in them and they are clear so you can see where everything is. Big fan all the way around.

Love the full size lunchmeat drawer, and 2 bins are different sizes, 1 larger and one smaller, which I do like. The retractable shelf is definitly nice as needed for taller items. This fridge fit into the space in the kitchen. The doors did not line up and would not shut without effort. Called the appliance store that it was purchased from and they sent out a repair crew. As the door was pulled off one could see that a nylon spacer was missing on the bottom hinge. Luck had it that I had some nylon washers on hand and the doors were leveled and shut easier than without the missing part. It was a unfortunate oversite for quality control at the factory. Otherwise the unit works ok, and my hope is that I can get a few years of good service out of it.

Refrigerator is great except for the ice maker. We had to have the repair guy out twice to get it working to full capacity. He finally replaced the metal arm and now it works great! I'm also missing a door compartment for my butter. I love the black stainless finish. It definitely cuts down on finger prints.

I have a small galley kitchen and am so happy Whirlpool makes an upscale fridge with a 30-wide footprint. I always wanted French doors and, as a vegetarian, I really prefer the freezer on the bottom so that all the produce is within easy reach! Best part: When I had a reoccurring problem after a few years, Whirlpool stood by their product and replaced it. I am disappointed they no longer make the stainless steel handles for the white fridge and that the handle size changed so I couldn't swap them. But otherwise am really happy!!

Keeps food very fresh

Refrigerator fit my space and color scheme. It keeps food very fresh and I notice a difference of how much longer food keeps over my old refrigerator. This unit has nice features. I'm not a fan of the very large door storage bins, as things slide around in there every time the door is opened unless the bin is packed full/tight. The clear plastic of the bins and crisper is clear and gorgeous but I imagine over time and use they will get scratched. Perhaps a frosted effect from the beginning would be more practical. The quality of the frames of the shelves, the crisper drawers, and the little adjustment for crisper drawer humidity are all cheaply made. Now that refrigerators only last 10 years instead of the 20-40 years old units would reach, I guess the quality of the accoutrements isn't important. I have had the unit for less than 5 months and so far I am overall pretty happy with it.

When I downsized and bought my villa it had a side by side white refrigerator. I hated it. No room in the fridge for a large object and the same issue in the freezer. No way could you put a 20 lb turkey in that freezer. So I searched for a white french door refrigerator and it is not easy to find. Most were to big for the space I had. This Whirlpool was perfect for me. It fits my space and although not any larger than the side by side I now have large shelves in the fridge and a large drawer in the freezer. Only downside is no water dispenser. I bought a Brita.

I love how easy this refrigerator is to clean the outside of it, never any fingerprints. I don't think they organized the shelves very good. Not enough room for all tall bottles. But otherwise I love it.

I'm exploring my new refrigerator, and so far I'm mostly happy with my purchase. It has a spacious freezer with compartments that help me be better organized. The design helps get the ice easily as I open the freezer and I can place small items in a tray and divide my food in two large separate divisions. As for the refrigerator, I like it as opposed to the regular two door refrigerator doors I had previously because I don't have to bend to get my vegetables and fruit. The only setback is that there's moisture I can't control inside the doors

Very nice refrigerator for a small space

I've always wanted a refrigerator with french doors above and the freezer below and this unit has both of those features. Was pleased to find one like this that would fit in a small space (19-20 c.f.). There are some very minor quirks that I think just need adjustment and the seller is sending out a technician to do them so I know they will be fine. My only objection is the lack of space for tall objects. I have to lay several tall bottles on their sides since there is only room for one milk bottle, one juice bottle, one creamer bottle and a couple of smaller bottles in the space provided and my Brita pitcher doesn't fit in there at all so that's gone.

I bought this a month ago and so far so good. I hope that thie Whirlpool brand last longer than my previous 2 Ftidges, A’s this is my 3rd Fridge in 10 yrs! The inside is a bit small for a family of 4 but when the kids head back to school, etc it will be the perfect size for my husband and I. We like the ice feature and that it only makes enough ice and doesn’t over flow the bin!

We love the fridge. The only thing is that the two produce drawers seem cheap. They feel like they will fall off the tracks. The big lower drawer is great. Overall this fridge is smaller than our old one by a cubic foot or so, but it feels bigger. We seem to fit the usual grocery day amount in it and have rom to spare. Overall we like the fridge. 5 stars except for the drawer issue.

Due to the corona virus, this was the only refrigerator that was available with a bottom freezer that would fit into my cabinet space. I actually wanted white with a single door on the top. But due to the lack of available appliances and the fact that my refrigerator was not able to be repaired, this was the best choice. I'm glad the middle shelf collapses for taller items. Otherwise there is only room in the door for one gallon of milk. The best feature is the meat drawer in the bottom of the refrigerator. The door bins are adjustable, but if you move them it isn't possible to get an item in the bin. Disappointing warranty of only ONE year for a name brand like Whirlpool.

I like the way the refrigerator is organized. However, the door handles were placed unevenly on the doors and this was an eye sore - off by 1/8 inch. A serviceman was sent out and he was able to adjust them somewhat so now they are only off by 1/32 of an inch. I suggest that the factory do a better job of inspecting their appliances before they are shipped out.

I upgraded from a older Hotpoint model and my Whirlpool is a wonderful improvement. I love having the freezer on the bottom with lots of draws and space to organize the frozen food. And the ice maker works quickly without a lot of noise. I just have to get use to the doors that both open and shake my condiments. But other than that it is a great Fridge!

The vegetable containers have their own control to keep veggies longer as done the "deli" draw. The outside stays clean and smudge free, so easy to clean. I have already recommended this to other people as I am very happy . Great price too!

I've turned the temperature down, but they're still freezing. And the ice maker doesn't make ice as fast as I like. Other than that it has great space and I liked the way I could organize everything.

I have had this refrigerator for two weeks and am very happy with it. Food is kept at a perfect temperature in the upper part and in the very spacious freezer below as well. I like that the motor runs quietly, not obnoxiously loud. When an ice cube falls in the bin it is a little loud but it only lasts for a second.

I received my Whirlpool in October 2019. I wanted to wait 4 or 5 months before I responded. My old refrigerator was bigger (side by side), I can fit as much in the fridge and more in the freezer. The filter in the fruits and veggies keep my stuff fresher longer by far compared to my old fridge. I have read complaints about the noise. It is a little noisier than I would expect, but it’s not terrible. That is the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars.

Overall utilization of inner space compared with other units by other manufactures is worse. Shelves are shallow and not so deep. Filters and controls use space reducing storage space for food. Accessibility to freezer compartments are not utilized as other units by other manufacturers. HomeDepot didn't offer this unit for viewing before a purchase which didn't allow us to determine all features offred.

Ice maker works great

We bought this refrigerator 6 years ago. It is poorly designed with limited shelf space but the ice maker works great. We had to call repairman 4 days ago since everything was warm up top. They showed up today and said the fan is broken and it will take A WEEK to get here. We are in a heat wave and the thought of keeping food in a cooler in the kitchen is not fun. A refrigerator should last more than 6 years! The back is totally closed off so you can't get to the coils to clean them. The bottom coils are very hard to reach to clean. Very disappointed and will never buy another Whirlpool again.

Want to love it but...

I bought this refrigerator to replace a 7-year-old Maytag french door refrigerator that I loved but, unfortunately, the door was failing and a replacement door was unavailable. This Whirlpool is almost identical in its' size. layout and attributes so I knew I would love it and that is the main reason I chose it. There's a problem, however, the factory installed icemaker isn't making any ice. I have had a technician here and still no ice. The Maytag was making ice until the day it was replaced so it's not the plumbing and Whirlpool provides no guidance for troubleshooting. I am very disappointed and hope that this issue can be resolved soon. My confidence in Whirlpool reliability is shaken.

I've had the frig for a couple of weeks now. The frig temp won't get any colder. It sits at 38 degrees at every snow flake level. I won't it to get colder when I turn it down. It doesn't. I'm also disappointed in the use of space inside. Frozen pizza is something most people have and they won't fit in the freezer compartment with the dividers. I thought I would like the milk on the door feature, but it takes away from shelf space, so there are no places for bigger items. I guess I should have thought ahead better. I would have gotten a different one.

Need more writing space for a true review

Purchased about a month and a half ago. Overall is adequate but some poor design on the inside. Very limited space for gallon jugs. One maybe two might fit in the one holder in the door. Other wise if you slide the shelve back you can get maybe two gallon jugs there but you lose a whole shelve for other items. The one plastic shelve is off the track and the door does not open far enough to remove the drawer and realign it. The plastic drawers are not very strong and I think they would crack if forced to put back on tracks.

Looks good and hoping it holds up better than the previous fridge in the same model. Hope whirlpool has gotten some of the kinks out! Had to buy the fridge as the old one needed to be replaced and the replacement fits the space. Having owned the same fridge in an earlier model and we had to replace a computer board after a few years, worked good until the next repair for a leaky freezer.

But the ice maker didn't work at all l called the store they gave me a number to call they said to take the filter out and see what happens still not working. I put the filter back in . Called the store back and they said they would schedule it for service. My ice maker still has not been looked at.

Adjustment

There was a bit of a hassle to get this fridge. The 1st back order date was a month away from the date I ordered it. The second date was scheduled for November but somehow I received it on Oct. 2nd. The Fridge is kind of small but it’s still nice. If you move the adjustable shelves you still don’t have much to work with. My refrigerator cutout is very small so I’ll just have to adapt and adjust Accordingly.

This is a beautiful refrigerator unfortunately the door on left doesn’t fully close unless you push it hard then right door pops open and you need to push that again. Bottom drawer so tight you really have to push it in or it doesn’t close. No alarm is a serious mistake.

OK for Small Space

I originally bought this refrigerator because I have a very small kitchen, and I like Whirlpool products. Five years later, in 2019, the compressor failed. I needed to buy another refrigerator, as the warranty had run out. I had two choices, and I ended up with another one just like this. I find the freezer section fine for my needs. However, the refrigerator section with the retractable shelf (that broke on the second one--lucky me saved the shelves from the first one) does not provide sufficient space for me. Knowing that, I rely greatly on my second refrigerator, side by side, that is over 25 years old in my laundry room. And guess what? It's a Whirlpool! Bottom line, this is a good refrigerator for someone with a small kitchen, and only one or two people. Just beware, they don't make them like they used to!!

Limited space for tall items

I won the refrigerator for just short of a month. The factory setting of three stars for the refrigerator in the freezer barely keeps the area in the refrigerator cold zone according to the tailor thermometer I use. According to the thermometer it should be in the 40 area and it just touches the line between 50 and 40. This concerns me because if you have to open the door the temperature drops and then the refrigerator have to run to get back to the proper cooling temperature. This is not very energy efficient.I’m the only person using it so it’s not due to over use.

Fridge works like a fridge should, however the door gaskets have now developed a fishy odor that permeates ice and vegetables. We’ve scrubbed and scrubbed the gaskets but phew, they STINK after a year. PS, we’ve never had fish in either the freezer or fridge.

Do not like how heavy and hard it is to open freezer door. Would like if it stayed open but closes immediately :(

Drawers don't stay shut.

We are in a crisis so small things just don't matter at this time. The left side upper draw seems to open by it's self. Unit seems to run all the time. The sound running is louder than the unit it is replacing. The old one was replaced because of the sound. It seems smaller inside than the old one. I wish I had bought just a single door unit- both doors must be open to use two of the three draws.

Perfect for our small home ... until crisper broke

So far the fridge is performing as advertised. The only concern I would point out is the water filter LED display doesn't seem to operate the way it's described in the user manual. The filter reset does show the water filter warning state (red) but it doesn't reset to its normal state (blue). Update .... a few days later now and we've started to fully utilize our new fridge and found the vegetable crisper drawer falls off its slide rail. You will find that if you place a few veggies in the drawer, the slide rail is too flimsy and the drawer falls off its slide.

Overflowing insulation makes it look like junk

Sadly disappointed with the quality of this refrigerator. We purchased this one because it fit our space, was fingerprint resistant and matched our other appliances. However the ice machine did not work and instead dripped water into the freezer under the drawer. Additionally the foam insulation in the doors was overfilled, leaving oozing dried insulation visible on the top of the door. We were given a replacement refrigerator with a working freezer, but the foam was still overfilled. Really disappointed by the poor craftsmanship! Giving it two stars because despite all this, it's theoretically a good fridge for a smaller space. I sincerely hope they only messed up two refrigerators on the line and we got them both..

Ice maker stopped working after 1 yr

This fridge is only 2 yrs and 6 months old. The ice maker stopped working a yr ago. The shelf it's clean believe it or not but there's liquid inside the casing that won't separate from the glass to clean. I feel it's not designed right the lighting and filter takes up so much room that it's hard to put tall stuff like milk, soda, juice. I don't like putting milk and juice on the door because you open the door to get food and could spoil milk, juice quicker in my opinion. Disappointed in this brand and an embarrassment if I get company and opens the fridge to see that stained shelf. If there is some way or trick to cleaning this shelf please let me know. I miss my old refrigerator. It was easier to clean and designed well that all tall items fit in shelf. This Whirlpool you have to lower the shelf and then makes the other shelves to small the height to put bulky stuff.

I hate this refrigerator so much. HORRIBLE design, truly terrible. All of my veggies freeze. The answer to my food freezing? Move food away from the vents. So take a terrible design that makes fitting food in the fridge and make it worse by telling me to keep food away from the center of the fridge? Gotcha. UGH. Truly, hate this thing.

Not keeping a safe temp

Freezes my produce in drawer all the time

I bought this refrigerator months ago...I had the service guy out here twice. I buy alot of produce and put it in the left drawer (the bigger one) and it freezes it all the time. I have to throw it away!! I paid alot of money for this fridge and I fell it should NOT be freezing my produce.Whirlpool is a ruputable company.I feel this is a lemon!Please help.

Bad idea even after research.

We had to replace our 8 year old refrigerator. I've always liked the two door design so we decided to try this one. It was a mistake. There are no alarms to alert if the door is left open and it's easy to do with this model. If ANY object touches the back wall, it causes circulation to stop. I've already had food in the fridge freeze. Even moving the containers away from the back doesn't seem to help solve the problem. A waste of money.

It looks great! I wish it had more adjustable shelves. The slider on the one shelf slides back if I barely touch the bottom of it from the shelf below. I feel it has wasted space. The doors do not close easily on the top and the bottom. Especially the left top door if it's shut last. I would not recommend this product!

Three hours in on owning this refrigerator and noticed the freezer seal is defective, so compressor keeps turning on to keep cold. It's also loud. Currently waiting on replacement, hoping the new "new" refrigerator doesn't disappoint. Have to wait 15 days, my old refrigerator that was still working was taken away.

I needed to replace my refrigerator. Because of the space available in my kitchen, this was the only option I had at my appliance store. The layout and design are awful. The way the shelves are configured you can't fit anything taller than a jar of pickles, let alone a gallon of milk. I can't possibly prepare food for a party because there is no space for any type of tray. It is 100% style over function, and it cost more than a mortgage payment.

Poor Quality Control, and Poor Engineering

This purchase was a disaster from the start. When the fridge arrived we noticed a foam like substance protruding from seams on the doors. The delivery crew said they thought we would be able to wipe that away with a product call Goof-Off. In retrospect, we should have refused the delivery. The foam did not come off with Goof-Off, so I called the dealer, who said I needed to call Whirlpool. Whirlpool said they would have their regional service company call us. When the service company called I explained the situation and they said they would order new doors. Two-three months later the 3 doors arrived. They all had the same problem of foam oozing out of the door seams, and one of the doors had a sizable dent. Called the service company, they said they would order new doors again. While we were waiting for the second set of replacement doors to arrive, the door switch the controls the interior light failed, and the light was no longer going on when we opened the door. Again called the service company, they sent someone out. The repair person said they could not fix the issue and Whirlpool would have to replace the entire refrigerator. When the new fridge came, there was a problem with the seal on the freezer door, and we had to swap the freezer door on our existing fridge with the one on the new replacement fridge. Then after the delivery crew left we continued setting up the replacement fridge, only to find one of the vegetable drawers was the incorrect part. I called Whirlpool and they said they would send us the correct drawer. As we've been using the fridge, we continue to have a problem with fruits and vegetable freezing if placed towards the rear of the fridge. We placed a bluetooth temperature sensor (accurate to 0.1 degree F) in the fridge to find the front of the fridge to be in the proper range 34-40 degrees, but the rear of the fridge was ranging 10 degrees below that. We checked Whirlpool's website for troubleshooting and followed their recommendation of keeping food items away from the interior vents. After moving a few items away, and the fridge now following the suggested remedy, the problem remains. Also tried adjusting the temperature. Adjusting it one notch (snowflake icon) less cooling solve the freezing issue, but then the temperature in the front of the fridge is to high, above the recommended 40 degrees, sometimes going above 45 degrees. We're very disappointed to say the least.

Poor factory quality control

We have had nothing but problems with this fridge. We called Whirlpool service their tech came out and discovered hat out of the 5 vents that supply cold air from the freezer to the fridge only 3 were cut open. He took my razor cutter and opened them now the fruit vegetable crispers are freezing

One of the drawers has derailed already and we found a long screw inside the fridge. No idea where it came from. The right side door sometimes does not close all the way, especially when you close the right side door first and then the left side, it "pushes out" the right side door so it is very slightly open and not closed all the way!

Poor Quality

Had this product for a little over a month and bottom freezer door has been not closing all the way very often. Also cover on bottom front vent very difficult to take on and off if you want to adjust front legs. Snaps on and off should screw on.Repair man from local Whirlpool dealer that we bought from so far has not fixed either yet been out 2 times. They ordered new freezer rails but not sure if that will fix it.

Don't buy this Fridge

So disappointed with this fridge! Number one problem, left door will not stay open by itself. So annoying when I'm trying to put stuff in or out and door keeps hitting me. Number two problem...crisper drawers not same size..who thought this?? N Number three... adjustments on doors not the same Save yourself some disappointments and don't buy this fridge...wish I had reviewed it before hand.

Very poorly designed

I am very disappointed in this refrigerator. It is poorly designed. The doors don't open wide and one swings shut as the delivery people didn't level it properly. The crisper has come off the track several times in the few weeks we have had it. The highest shelf isn't even high enough for a juice bottle, and barely high enough for a gallon of milk. The temperature varies so much; part of the refrig indicates "unsafe" on my thermometer and other parts in nearly to the freezing mark.

Quit after year and half

We bought this new and of course, it stopped working after the year warrenty ran out. The icemaker would work when it wanted to and finally this week the refridgerator completely stopped went up to 60 degrees, the freezer is still working somewhat, no ice of course. Ran the diagnostic as recommended with the snowflake method and it reports all systems go.

Louder than expected. Technician informed me that looked at my refrigerator states the noise is normal for this model. Quite disappointed that Whirlpool would tolerate operation of this model in the noise state that it operates in. I would not recommend this model.
