Replacing a classic

I had an LG refrigerator, French door style with a lower drawer, icemaker for 18 years, which was a great appliance. There were a few other minor issues that did not work replacement but when the icemaker finally stopped working, I replaced it with a brand new refrigerator, same style, same basic features, but now there is more room inside and I love it.

This is a great refrigerator. Love the fact that it has the French doors, so most of the time only one door needs to be opened to get what I need. I usually put everything in the same place. Also that the refrigerator is at the top and freezer at the bottom. Especially appreciate that I can put wide or large dishes in the fridge or freezer.Before I had a side-by-side. No way would those same containers fit. Couldn't even fit a 20 pound turkey in the freezer, thank goodness I had a regular freezer! Just hope it lasts a long time!

We bought this LG refrigerator a month ago and have been very happy with it. I has lots of room inside and flexible storage. The ice maker in the bottom drawer works extremely well and keeps us supplied with ice with no issues. The refrigerator is quite and fits well into our kitchen.

Love my refrigerator

Bought this fridge about a month ago. It replaces a 12 year old LG fridge. We had just completed a full kitchen remodel with all new LG appliances except for the refrigerator. Five days after the contractor left the old fridge stopped working. I didn’t hesitate to call the appliance store to have next day delivery of a new LG. I’ve always been really pleased with LG kitchen appliances and would recommend them 100% of the time.

Repair of Our Refer.

We bought this Refer. in Jan 2023, the Wife was getting some ice from the Freezer and saw a piece on the floor of the Freezer, when She went to get it She noticed a BIG CRACK in the Base of the Freezer, We called the Warranty Dept., they sent out a repair Man, He FIXED it temporarly for now, HOPEFULLY that will take care of the PROVLEM.

My wife and I have had this refrigerator for a few weeks now, and we are overall happy with the ample amount of space, convenience, and layout of this unit. It works extremely quiet and efficiently, and certainly keeps all of the food at its proper storage temperature. Highly recommend this unit and certainly this company for your next refrigerator or major appliance upgrade!

I'm in love with my frig! It has: roomy doors that fit gallon jugs, 2 produce bins, a deep bin for what you use often, adjustable glass shelving, a sliding tray, & a deep bin in the freezer. The great lighting means I can see the entire frig, so no lost leftovers. Does it get better? I don't think so!

We love the refrigerator. It has only quit once and there is no one locally that could service it. In fact right now I am going through the process of proving we actually own a LG refrigerator. We requested our service request be expedited since my husband is an insulin dependent diabetic and all his insulin is stored in this refrigerator. We filed our claim, I believe Oct 20. As of today, no service provider has been located.

We love LG refrigerators and this is the second one we have purchased for our home for use. LG knows how to organize the refrigerator the right way and make it work for big items and little items in the door and on the shelves which can be adjusted. The bottom freezer has ample space for even your big pizza boxes. A great refrigerator that is simple and easy to use.

Good open space

Frig looks good. fit well in space. Chose not to have outside door features on this one. Never used the external ice or waster function on old frig, like the bottom freezer. doesn't interfere with kitchen space. like top doors on frig. You don't have to reach down so far to get an item. Plus you can open both doors and organize things properly.

Overall a great fridge. The ice maker is pretty slow, and tends to freeze up some of the cubes together in a block. A plastic clip also broke off the lower door hinge. In process of getting tech out to fix under warranty.

We bought this fridge about 3 weeks ago as our old fridge was outdated and we could not get repair parts, this fridge had all the options that we needed without all the extra bells and whistles and the best part was the low price we received. This fridge was 29 cubic feet in comparison to the 26 cubic foot we had and it was like going from a box truck to a tractor trailer , plenty of room and with the ice maker in the freezer that made for even more space in the fridge. Overall this was a great purchase and we are pleased ... No regrets.

This model floated to the top of every list we made, in terms of features, size, modernity, energy efficiency, space, etc, and the price was right around what we wanted to spend as well. We've only had it for a week or two, but so far, it's met all of our expectations. Delivery was flawless and they had us up and running without a single hiccup and we're super pleased so far.

Shelf arrangement on doors

I am very pleased with the refrigerator. I especially like the double doors and the freezer on the bottom. I think the design of the shelf placement on the doors could be better. I have seen other refrigerators with evenly spaced places (hooks? inserts?) to which the door shelves can be moved. Some tall items don't fit well, but there is no choice on how these shelves are placed.

I purchased this refrigerator and freezer about a month ago. I am so glad I did! The delivery and installation were effortless. The delivery crew was on time, polite and efficient. They even picked up the packing material and debris and hauled it out, along with the old refrigerator. The refrigerator is quiet and maintains the set temperature. All of the drawers are transparent, so nothing gets "lost" and rotten in some obscure corner of a bin. There's plenty of room in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. I can stock up on frozen goods easily. The unit has a clean, impressive appearance and looks great in the kitchen.

I love my new LG Refrigerator. Before, we had a refrigerator where you operated the ice on the outside of the door. Whenever the electric blinked or went off, you would have to reprogram the whole thing to get ice again, but now all I have to do is to pull the freezer drawer at the bottom and reach in and get the ice. The refrigerator is also nice and big inside.

We are enjoying our new brushed stainless LG refrigerator. It is so spacious! The regular shelves are deep, and the door shelves are extremely deep and convenient. There is plenty of room in the freezer, too. The icemaker keeps us stocked with clean ice cubes. In addition, the refrigerator is whisper quiet, which is perfect for our open floorplan.

We bought this LG 29 cf refrigerator about 2 months ago. We are very happy we made the switch. My wife wanted a 3 door unit, I wanted a refrigerator without water and ice in the door. It takes a little getting used to as to which door to open Make sure you close the doors firmly, if left slightly ajar it will beep at you. I have had the freezer drawer open getting ice when it dumped a new batch A little clean up. I like the ice cubes. Yes cubes, not half-moon shaped. We are happy.

not a fan of the bottom freezer; dual door refrigerators, but I do like the LG brand. this was my husbands choice and i agreed to it. the interior refrigerator has some nice features and not so nice. I feel like I have to use organizers to make access more convenient. I find that I am opening BOTH doors to get items out of any of the 3 interior drawers, especially the full drawer of which I haven't determined it's usage value. Food stays fresh; cooling is great; adjustments are easy to view. the bottom freezer is a cumbersome mess, in my opinion, as I am digging for the items I might need. the ice would be better located somewhere nearer the front; just not a fan overall of this style of LG. I know that's just a personal preference; overall quality seems above par to other manufacturers; cost was expensive and now , I have seen it almost seven hundred dollars less; oouch! If performance and quality, count for anything; I do like LG refrigerators.

Honestly I've had it 2 and half weeks. The noise of the ice maker is the only issue. When dumping and refilling tray makes a ton of noise I think reveiws should be 12 months in, not a month in. The fridge is really nice so far. Looks great, size is amazing! So far really happy with it.

My last refrigerator was not designed well and the products they used for the shelves did not last well, so I would not buy this one until I could actually see it and open it up. We love everything about it and haven't found any problems. Now to see how it holds up for the many years to come.

Ref is doing fine after a month. All are happy with the additional space given the units is about the same as the older model. Water and ice dispenser convenience is missed from our older LG but satisfied with the superior ice cubes inside the freezer.

On the down side, I find the ice cubes are a little too large and the ThinQ app as an advertised feature for this model without wifi, is practically useless leaving me unable to set or view temperatures on my phone.

My new LG 29cf. started acting up. The temps were going up and down. After deep dive into tech news info turn out that fridge magnets for my Day Calander near the left door caused the problem. As soon as I lowered the magnet's away from the top left the Lg 29 cf. fridge started to work prefect.

Called representative and they did a small adjustment so we decided to keep it because we had to remove both doors and bottom freezer drawer to get in our front door. It is so much roomier than our previous refrigerator. So far we love it!!

Very spacious, well lit and looks good

In comparing this unit to my previous LG (LFC25760 PURCHASED 9/15/2007), there is a lot to like- and a few disappointments. The major problem is a very noticeable rumble and vibration when the compressor is running- like a diesel pickup with a high idle outside the kitchen, and sitting here in my family room, about 13 feet from the unit, it fills my ears with a noticeable hum. My previous LG was so quiet I had to place my ear against it to tell it was running wwhen it was installed. This new refrigerator seems to have a problem. The LED lighting is an improvement over the previous unit's lighting, which had a defect that did not show (overheating in the overhead lighting) in ours until 2016, and by the time it happened again it was beyond the warrantee extension date. After another event, I replaced the lamps with LEDs. I miss the roll out shelves, but the deeper door shelves (with the air vents over the doors, hold all of the little things that tended to wind up on the backs of the shelves. I bought this when the older units freezer with a setting of 0 degrees could not hold that level, and setting it down to -5 degrees barely made it to 0 degrees. Melted ice cream is not a treat.

Don’t waste you money

Aesthetically nice. But shortly after getting it, one of the door shelves broke. It’s not a replaceable part. It’s molded into the door. I’ve had to recharge the “Freon” twice. The final straw was when both the fridge and the freezer stopped staying cold. Had enough. Just buying another refrigerator.

Exactly 2 years of ownership and the freezer and refrigerator just stopped working. Compressor is blown and leak in the coolant line. Would not recommend this refrigerator or any LG products. LG has gone down hill with all of their products.

The first 7 months it was wonderful, after that the ice started tasting funny. Then an alcohol smell started in the refrigerator. I have have tried to get service here to repair it. Meanwhile everytime I open the fridge, I smell the horrible smell

Thankfully once service was planned the scheduler knew there were many problems with the compressor on this model and order the part before the service tech arrived. Refrigerator has been repaired for 2 weeks now. So far so good. Not really confident that this compressor will last years as it should.

Bad from the start

I bought this three weeks ago and the upper fridge doesn't get cold enough to keep food from spoiling. The freezer is fine. I live on kauai and there is nobody to service it.

I bought this fridge and the ice maker never worked I have been in contact with lg company said the would send a part never did. And now I have a fridge that doesn’t make ice.

My refrigerator is still not making ice like it should. We still have to buy bagged ice for our freezer which we shouldn't have to do. This problem has been going on since I have bought the machine.
