800 Series Bosch 36" Counter Depth 20.8 cu. ft. Smart Energy Star French Door Refrigerator With Flex Bar B36CT80SNS

Most owners report this model runs exceptionally quietly—many say they can barely hear it operating. The main sounds are the ice maker releasing cubes and water filling, both of which are quiet. One reviewer noted that proper leveling during installation (locking down the leveling knobs) further reduces noise. A small number of owners found the ice maker itself somewhat noisy, but this is not the dominant pattern.

Yes, multiple owners report that food stays fresh significantly longer in this model compared to their previous refrigerators. The VitaFreshPro drawers with separate airflow systems for vegetables and meats are frequently praised for maintaining freshness. Owners note that produce and meats taste better and last longer than in other brands they've owned.

This model offers 21 cubic feet of capacity in a counter-depth design. Owners consistently praise the well-organized interior with excellent visibility and lighting, making it easy to find items without reaching to the back. The layout includes flexible compartments and drawers that help keep groceries organized. An appliance repair technician noted that despite the counter-depth footprint, the storage space is very impressive and easily accommodates what a full-depth refrigerator would hold.

The ice maker is a strong feature for most owners—it produces abundant ice efficiently, with small pyramid-designed cubes that fit easily into water bottles and drinks. The ice stays in the bin well and comes with a convenient scoop. However, a small number of owners have experienced ice maker failures or issues with the filter reset system not working properly, which is a concern worth noting given the price point.

This is a recurring concern. Multiple owners report that the doors, particularly the right door, require firm pushing to close fully and do not close as easily as expected. Some note that the left door must be closed first, then the right. The refrigerator will beep if doors are not fully sealed. This appears to be a design characteristic rather than a defect, as it persists even after adjusting the fridge's tilt.

The counter-depth design (31.1 inches deep, 35.6 inches wide, 72 inches tall) fits flush with kitchen cabinetry without protruding, which owners appreciate for a sleek, integrated look. Multiple reviewers note it fits their kitchens perfectly and has a modern, high-end appearance. This design is one of the model's key selling points for those seeking a built-in aesthetic.

Most owners report strong reliability and durability, with many praising the build quality and two-compressor design. However, a small number of owners have experienced significant issues: one reported the refrigerator stopped working after 3.5 years with multiple part failures and water leaks; another had an ice maker failure after 1.5 years. These are isolated cases among many satisfied long-term owners, but given the premium price point, durability expectations are high.

While most owners appreciate the internal water dispenser design, a few have reported issues. One owner experienced persistent dripping and leaking from day one despite multiple service visits. Another noted the water dispenser pressure is very high and splashes, though this was resolved by using a deep pitcher. These are not universal problems, but water dispenser reliability appears to be inconsistent in some units.
