LG 21" Counter Depth Upright Freezer LROFC0605V

Multiple owners report that this freezer runs very quietly, with several noting they can barely hear it after it has been running for a few days and adjusted to full capacity. The quiet operation is one of the most consistently praised features across reviews.

Yes—the 5.8 cubic foot capacity and compact upright design make it ideal for apartments, laundry rooms, garages, and kitchens with limited space. Owners consistently praise its ability to hold a surprising amount of food while taking up minimal floor and visual space, and many note it is short and shallow enough that shelving can be placed above it.

No—the shelves are fixed and cannot be adjusted or removed. This is a consistent design feature across all units. While some owners find this acceptable for their needs, others note it can be limiting if you need to store tall items like whole turkeys or large containers. Consider your storage needs before purchase.

No—this model does not include an interior light. Some owners find this a minor inconvenience, though it does not significantly impact functionality. The open-top design and shelf arrangement generally allow good visibility of contents.

This is a manual defrost freezer. Owners report that defrosting is straightforward and typically needed once or twice per year. Some reviewers specifically chose this model because they prefer manual defrost for better meat preservation compared to frost-free models.

Most owners report excellent freezing performance and reliable temperature maintenance. The unit reaches very cold temperatures quickly and maintains them consistently. Several reviewers note it achieves well-below-zero temperatures and keeps food frozen without freezer burn.

While many owners report years of trouble-free operation and are very satisfied with their purchase, a notable minority have experienced failures within 1–2 years of purchase. Some units have stopped working prematurely, resulting in food loss. LG does offer service support, and at least one owner reported a free repair within 24 hours.
