I really like this refrigerator. We bought it for our office and so far, it's working great. It is also very spacious, and it is cooling very well.

Love the Refrigerator, In Spite of Some Minor Issues

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

First the good things about the refrigerator. My white unit is a really nice-looking unit both inside and out. LED lighting makes the interior shine. Who cares about a light in the freezer; my garage lighting provides enough ambient light so that every part of the freezer is visible. There is plenty of storage in the refrigerator part for all my water bottles, soda, beer, wine and food leftovers. The fully adjustable shelves are great. The drawers are a bit flimsy, but they are totally functional and are perfect for this garage unit. The manufacturer must still keep making improvements to this model since the common complaint regarding the doors popping open when you close one is no longer valid. The doors close perfectly and don’t pop open when either is closed. That problem is fixed. OK, now the “not so good.” As some others have indicated, the temperature controls don’t seem to do anything. The fridge portion always runs at 29-32 degrees and the freezer at about 0 degrees. Thinking the fridge is running too cold, I lowered the refrigerator compartment temperature control. No matter where I set the control, the food compartment doesn’t seem to change its temperature. At this point I am not too concerned since my water bottles are still staying liquid. Maybe this is what happens when the refrigerator is in a cold environment. It is still winter here and the ambient temperature in the garage is in the low 40’s. Perhaps in the summer, the temps will increase to a more normal range. So I can’t control the temperature, but so far, it doesn’t seem to matter. Next, when the door is reversed, you are left with three sharp screw holes on the top of the fridge where the old bracket was screwed in. Frigidaire should supply a pop in cover or at least some white screws to go in the holes. Lastly, the front wheels are on brackets that permanently protrude from the bottom of the fridge. These brackets are used to support the bottom of the door depending on how it opens. The unused hinge protrudes from the bottom of the fridge and is not esthetically pleasing. There is always one sticking out depending on which side the bottom of the door rests on. The hinge design should be modified so this bracket can be pushed back so it doesn't stick out. See the picture. Overall though, in spite of the refrigerator’s minor shortcomings, we are happy with the fridge and it is a really nice garage ready unit that we would highly recommend.

Far superior to the current competition!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

My new Frigidaire is far superior to the current competition. It has an excellent efficiency rating, a surprisingly large freezer area, separate temperature controls to easily fine tune both fridge and freezer, multiple shelf height options, operates well in cooler houses, has four wheels on the base, veggie drawers both have four wheels, and a large luncheon meat/egg drawer. All the shelves and bins are see through, the cooling vents are strategically placed to allow maximum space for food, and the fridge light can be easily changed out by the owner- NO need for a tech to come and replace an entire lighting unit like my past fridge in this price range. It also has large shelves in the door which are big enough for a gallon of milk, this allows me to quickly and easily access my most used products- plus less time having the fridge open means more savings for me. Very happy with my purchase, thank you Frigidaire for making a great product! :)

My Review for 20 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Top Freezer Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The metal finish fits the decor of our kitchen. The size is a perfect fit. The product runs quiet. The space inside the product is perfect for our 2-person household. So far it appears that we are saving electricity as expected from an Energy Star product.

The Perfect Size Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Recently purchased this Frigidaire 44 cubic inch refrigerator because our primary was getting overloaded. This one fit into our over-sized laundry room perfectly. The additional space was exactly what we needed. The drawers, shelve, and bins are sturdy and support our additional food and beverages that our primary will not accommodate. Very pleased with our purchase.

Lifelong Frigidaire Fan

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am a lifelong Frigidaire fan because my very first job out of high school in 1956 was a summer job at Frigidaire in Dayton, Ohio. At 87, I have been through multiple colors of refrigerators and long ago set on good old white because it goes with everything. When I had to replace my 30+ year old refrigerator, I was thrilled to be able to replace it with not only a Frigidaire, but a white one. I love it!

Freezer pops open

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

One problem with this model: The freezer door pops open when the refrigerator door is closed. It usually closes again, but sometimes not. Stronger magnets on the freezer door seal would solve the problem.

My new refrigerator has a large extra drawer for lunch meats and cheese, separate drawers for fruits and vegetables, and large capacity shelves on the door. The Freezer is spacious. Love that it does not have handles but instead grab areas to open doors. Love the sleek design. My former refrigerator was 14 cubic feet so this size works so much better for our family.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We had a "fancy" brand refrigerator that was included when we move into our home. It had constant problems, it is still less than five years old but in that time the handles came off, the vegetable drawers broke, and the freezer bearing fell out. We have never had a problem with our Frigidaire freezer and love our new frig. The shelves in the freezer make things visible and accessible (unlike drawers), the door shelves are awesome!

Good size, clear shelves, door holds a lot

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The shelves are somewhat adjustable, so everything fits. I’m happy the top shelf holds a full crockpot liner with lid. The door holds tall items so I can easily see what I have. The clear shelves let me see what I have in the drawers. I miss fully adjustable and half shelves, but this works okay. The blue LED light is what it is, I miss warm light, but it lights the inside fully.

Good budget refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Overall it's a good budget refrigerator although I wish I had seen in store first.. It's deep and has more space than I expected but it can be difficult to see items that get pushed to the back. I do wish the freezer had a light. A small detail I didn't realize I would miss from my previous freezer. The door closes gently and sometimes I don't close it all the way (although that is probably a me thing) but I do appreciate it doesn't slam.

Nice little fridge - reviewed after just two weeks

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We needed a new fridge for our kitchen after our 21-year-old Kenmore leaked. I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews. When I came across this Frigidaire it seemed like it would be a decent replacement and it was well rated. I didn't want a lot of bells and whistles and certainly didn't want to have to connect any water to it. This one is a couple of inches smaller than my old fridge but holds a good number of items. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I would have liked a light in the freezer (though it wasn't a deal breaker). I also would have liked more flexibility in shelf positioning, a textured finish like that of the sides of the fridge (shiny shows more fingerprints) and larger fruit and veggie bins. I also wished it was a little taller, so I didn't have to bend down so much to put things on the lower shelf and in the bins. Note: I had to buy this fridge sight unseen as none of my local stores carried this model. I hope this fridge lasts a long time, though the days of things lasting a long time seem to be a thing of the past in our "throw-away society."

Great Refrigerator for My New Home—Quiet, Spacious, and Reliable

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I recently purchased this 20 cu. ft. Garage‑Ready Top Freezer Refrigerator for my new home, and it has been a great experience so far. The cooling performance is strong and consistent, and the fridge reaches the desired temperature quickly after loading groceries. The layout is simple but very practical, with plenty of shelf space and a roomy freezer. One thing I appreciate is how quiet it runs—you barely notice it’s on. The build quality feels solid, and the finish looks clean and modern in the garage. For the price, it delivers excellent value, and I’m happy with how reliable it has been from day one. Overall, this refrigerator does exactly what it promises. If you need a dependable garage‑ready unit with good capacity and smooth performance, this is a great choice.

Old Amana New Frigidaire

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

the openness and spaciousness of the new frig is great. We are still getting used to having the compressor running continuously. Our biggest issue though is that the door has been popping back open after our attempts to close it. This is discouraging as our choice was guided by energy efficiency. The issue has resolved some during our first week of ownership, so we are hoping it was just a fluke and an adjustment issue on our part. We also miss not having a light in the freezer. The best thing though is that we have more room top and bottom, Another discovery though was that the bottom is much lower down than the previous frig so squats are encouraged. Shelf adjustments work well and the cheese drawer is nice and wide.

Nice refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This is a nice refrigerator which is rated as "garage-ready". I thought that getting the black one would reduce the probability of it attracting dust. Seems untrue. We'll see. This is meant for the garage, which one would expect to have more dust than a kitchen. Also, it would have been appreciated if it had included a heater so it would REALLY be garage-ready for places where the temperature DOES get below 45 degrees. And with an adjustable external thermostat to control the heater. These would add little to the cost if just included, and a real value-added. It is also annoying that this contest refuses to accept a valid email address containing a +. That is just lazy or poor programming.

I love my new refrigerator it's small enough to fit comfortably in my kitchen, yet big enough to store my food. It has roomy side shelves on the inside door that could hold a 24pk of bottle waters & then some lots of inside refrigerator space.

Roomy For Its Size

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I have a tiny kitchen and most modern refrigerators are gargantuan, leaving me few options. This one fit my tiny space, but it's quite a bit roomier inside than the one it replaced. I had to fiddle with the settings because the mid-point (between coldest and warmest) actually froze my eggs, but now it's adjusted just right. Looks like this is going to work out well.

Garage Ready Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Just got a new refrigerator for the garage and this Frigidaire model is excellent. Shelfs are adjustable for all types of product sizes, shelves on the door are wide for oversize containers, and the freezer also has adjustable shelfs.

Good basic fridge

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Bells and whistles didn't attract me to this model. Instead it was the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient rating, the 20 cubic foot size, and the price. There are no extras, not even a light in the ample freezer. What I like best is that the shelves in the door are extra deep, meaning the body of the fridge is less deep than most. Thus, stuff is less likely to get lost in hard-to-see interior recesses. I do wish the vegetable drawers at the bottom had 50% more capacity and that the compressor was a little quieter. But otherwise it's very good value for the money.

Nice fridge for a small apartment

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I like my new fridge. I enjoy the space and the door has lots of room to neatly organize all the condiments etc. I like the long draw that goes under the 1st shelf and it is the length of the fridge(it's a great space to place eggs, cheese, lunch meat, etc). The veggie draws at the bottom are good to help keep veggies fresher longer and you can control the draw temperature. The cons are that the material for the plastic draws feels a little thin/cheap and should have been made a little sturdier/thicker. Also the freezer only came with one shelf and should really come with 2 shelves for better organizing. I went out to job lot and purchased something to add an extra level so everything wasn't just piled on top of eachother. Overall I am happy with the appliance and its size is great for my apartment and space in my kitchen.

Stylish modern looking

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This refrigerator is quiet and is beautifully modern in the surface appearance. The shelves can be configured in numerous levels and the clear drawers make it easy to make food choices quickly. I enjoy the full width drawer that is shallow I placed in the middle configuration. It provides good space for snacks and slim items. Cheese snacks, lunch meats, bacon, etc fit perfectly. I added the ice maker and it fits well and produces ice frequently and plentifully. The freezer space is almost 1/3 of the overall refrigerator so buying food for longer terms is a great feature.

Got the Garage Ready Fridge(Home Depot) Was advised DO NOT switch the door side because it doesnt seal right and a lot of people take them back because of it not sealing tight enough when you swap the Doors. Perfect refrigerator for our garage. We have another Frigidaire in our basement, and it runs like a top. Highly reliable appliance.

Great 2nd fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this as a second refrigerator to keep in our garage for drinks, extra food, etc. It has proven to be the perfect unit for our application. The only drawback has been it is VERY prone to fingerprints but, after all, it is stainless steel. Definitely would recommend.

Garage Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Great secondary refrig/freezer in the garage for extra storage of items that needs to be frozen and keeps extra food and drinks cold. Energy efficient which helps with the cost of electricity. I have more room to store my fishing catch in the freezer!

Fishermans storage · Aug 24, 2025

Great fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Love the extra space and still being 30 inches wide. Crisper drawers have little wheels on them so they slide very easily. The shelves in the door hold a lot of stuff. Freezer is very roomy. Even the freezer door shelf accommodates a lot of items. I like the full width deli drawer. Having no handles on the doors makes a big difference in my very small kitchen.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

It works well, keeps everything at the right temperature, is spacious enough for our family. The only thing I do not like about it is when closing the refrigerator door the freezer door pops open and when closing the refrigerator door, the freezer door pops open. We must be very mindful to make sure they are both closed because there is no warning beep when either stays open. I believe the sealing mechanism needs to be stronger in the doors because we have never had this happen with any other fridge we have owned.

All is mostly good - 1 concern is that the doors don't close securely if you don't push them closed. There's no sense of doors being tightly closed

Garage Ready Frigidaire refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I live in AZ and it has been a very hot summer. I had a regular refrigerator in my garage that ran all the time and was so longer keeping things cold. I invested in a 20 inch garage ready Frigidaire. It is made for the hot summers in AZ. I it will keep things cold even with temperatures up to 110° in my garage. I. I love it!!

Love my new refrigerator! I did a lot of research before I bought this refrigerator because I previously bought another brand that didn’t work. Great refrigerator-freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

R-F instructions very clear on how operates & control settings. R-F is keeping temperature steady. Door shelves are wide enough for a variety of items, like that it has more than 1 wide shelf. Glass see through solid shelves in the box allow easier placement of items.

Like the size for the money.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Nice refrigerator. Like the little bit larger freezer. The flush handles are a plus. Wish a door shelf could be adjustable. Front door hard to keep clean. Be aware- Doors thick and squared. If installing hinge side against side wall may have fitting problem. Had to trim counter and floor trim to accommodate door opening, it was quite a job. Overall, good buy!

I needed a refrigerator especially made for garages. I tried an other brand but sent it back because turned all the way up it never got below 45 degrees. This one is set below halfway and it cools perfectly. My garage during the summer is 109 to 110 degrees.

Finally replaced my 47 year old refrigerator a 17 cubic foot Frigidaire put in when my house was built in 1983. (which still worked) .With a new 20 Cu. Ft. FRIGIDAIRE. Nice refrigerator that is going to take some adjustment on our part. It is a bit smaller than our old fridge but it will be fine. Took about a week to get the temps where we wanted them but everything works good. Not so good points are no light in the freezer and ice maker runs a bit slow. All and all good value. Time will tell on how durable and efficient it will be.

Good basic fridge. Like the large drawer in the middle that runs the whole width of the fridge. Adjustable shelves. The areas on the doors to store items are very spacious. Only negative is the doors don't close as easily as prior fridge, especially the freezer. I accidentally left it open for a while once.

A Second Refrigerator

We bought this as a second refrigerator for our garage. Our main one in the kitchen is a counter depth and has too little space sometimes, especially at holidays or when we want to have a party. The Frigidaire Model we bought is the perfect size for what we needed and looks great. The refrigerator interior is well lit and has a lot of space for drinks on the door and space for food.

Very Happy with my Frigidaire Top Freezer

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I wasn't sure how I'd adjust to a top freezer refrigerator versus a side by side, but I have to say I really like it. My waistline even gets a little more exercise bending down to reach for my refrigerated items and I stopped smacking my head on the freezer door while standing back up. Great energy saver from what I had. I'm very happy.

20. Cu. Ft Top Freezer Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

The refrigerator does its job. There is a lot of space in both the refrigerator and the freezer as I did not get the ice maker. It can be a little noisy at times compared to my old refrigerator. My biggest issue is that the top shelf with the drawer is hard to remove. At this time, I haven't found any videos or instructions on how to remove and reposition. The other shelfs are easy to adjust.

Delivered on Thursday morning and plugged in since. Friday was the 4th of July. Today is the 5th. Refrigerator will not get cold - was at 66 but finally turned it to the coldest setting on Friday. Temp dropped to 59 and no lower. Freezer is also set to coldest now and is at 17 unless I open the door for a few seconds - then its in the 20's. Temp should be zero. This is not what I paid for. Store is sending a technician on Monday. I bought a new fridge, not one with issues. Woke up with food poisoning this morning. Food is spoiled.
