2.5 years running and going strong!

This unit is exactly what we needed. Installed water filter ahead of unit to create crystal clear, clean ice. Many family gatherings, never run out. Cleaning straight forward. Agree with others that the unit is loud, but installed in butler pantry area buffered from rest of house, not an issue for us. Purchased on promotion, high value for function compared to market. Would buy again.

Extremely loud motor and large ice cubes

I was very disappointed in the Icemaker because it is extremely loud. I thought it was just the first 24 hours when it was getting going but it is still extremely loud. The ice cubes are also very large.

Died in a matter of months.....

Had unit for less than 6 months before it died. Completely shut down. Manufacturer does not have rep in area to fix so I have to uninstall and send it back. AJ madison and XO are taking forever to get me through this process. Very disappointed.

Pump failures all over the place

I bought this ice maker 6 months ago and the pump already failed. When the tech arrived to replace the part (8 weeks later), he said these pumps are all that he's been replacing lately. Unfortunately I recommended my friend to install this unit in his new home before my own experience and I fear it's only a matter of time before his fails too. I sincerely hope that the new pump lasts more than 6 months. Won't buy this brand again.

Avoid!

Don't waste your time and money. Pump failed within the first month. A few months later the unit stopped making ice altogether. Vacuumed the condenser. Worked for a two weeks then stopped again. No longer investing to fix this lemon. It's on the curb now. Thanks XO.

Would NOT recommend buying

From the time I bought this product from AJ madison I have had trouble with this. I have had it serviced and parts replaced within 6 months as well. Last year they replaced the main board and it worked for another 6 months and now it’s not working again.

Review for XO Ice Maker Model XOUIM1565SP Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I purchased an XO ice maker model XOUIM1565SP approximately two and a half years ago, and it has been one of the most unreliable appliances I have owned. During that time, the pump has failed three separate times. Each failure completely shuts down the unit, making the ice maker unusable until the pump is replaced. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the excessive downtime while waiting for parts. The unit is currently broken again due to another pump failure, and we have been waiting nearly a month for XO to send a replacement pump. As of now, the machine is still not operational. When I look back at the total time we’ve owned this ice maker, it has spent a significant portion of that time out of service due to repeated pump failures and slow parts replacement. For an appliance in this price range, that level of reliability is extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this ice maker. Between the repeated breakdowns, the ongoing pump issues, and the long delays in getting replacement parts, it has been far more trouble than it is worth. If I had the opportunity to make the purchase again, I would choose a different brand with a stronger reputation for reliability and product support.
